Damn... Been a while since I've found an OG version of a song I haven't heard.. Impressive Pac, thought I got to the bottom of that well. Love this version with the Steve Miller Band sample... Another Gem! Big Syke!!! As always laying it down
Dilomski yup actually this song was supposed to go on the thug life Vol.1 but interscope was telling them some songs shouldn't go on there because some songs had a lot of explicit lyrics and back then they used to have to change some of the songs up due to a lot of censoring back then
Good that we can listen to these songs now:) I have been listening to 2pac since 96' but even in 2016 there are songs that I hear for first time, like this one.
@@Dilomskimakes sense. Alot of ppl under 35 may more only know of the Death Row era Pac... Yes he blew up more and set trends while with DR like being first hi hop artist to do a double disc album. I strongly feel the DR era Pac was him more enraged and more personal attack-leaning songs. He still made great music with DR too but Me Against The World was his most introspective project. That was him narrating his childhood growing up in Harlem and the Bronx, and growing up around hip hop pioneers. He dedicated that album as an ode to his hometown New York City. He clearly repped Uptown (Harlem/the Bronx) in Temptations and Ol Skool. The same ppl he dissed while on DR he payed respects to like De La Soul, LL Cool J... Pac was living in California and ATL during that period but still proudly repped New York. Legendary Brooklyn DJ Easy Mo Bee, and NY native Shock G both produced parts to Me Against The World. Him coming home screaming Westside and California love was not him.
@@tainocruz8968 True. Me Against The World is one of his best albums. Sadly, he got into the beef and it cut short a very promising life and career (not just in Hip-Hop).
It's easier to listen to but it is a fan made thing. The Soulja represents the evil mind of 2Pac, a nightmare for him, not his true character. That's why he used this pitched voice.
SOULJA VOICE AS ALWAYS MAKING SOME OF DOPEST OG SONGS OF PAC
This reminds me of another unreleased song called 'The Struggle Continues...', which has the same sample and subject; killing cops.
SeanJunior TV same beat in the back
TheStruggleContinues is fkn 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
