    It's funny how many people complain that their window cleaner just stopped showing up and then when I give them the price, they don't wanna pay!! People don't understand that you have to pay for quality and reliability! Great video man and some great quotes.

    You are great guy Keith. You seem to be a very honest guy who shares very honest content without worrying about the monetization to much. I thank you for being such a good human being and teaching everyone what you know. And not hiding things and worrying about money more than your audience. Just my thoughts. Thanks, Man. Best Regards, Bob

    Great video. Keith I like that saying "A fool and his money are soon parted". What your saying is so true. i started off charging way to cheap. To be in business you have to be emotionally detached. Well done because it sounds like you have that mindset. your a role model to me. Regards from Wellington, New Zealand

    Very true, I clean windows myself and when I started, I under priced many jobs. Its just not worth it. Now I charge more and a lot of people don't want to pay the price, but the ones that do will grow.

    I’m mainly wanting to save up money for a better pressure washer so then I can do a free window clean for the service, I just do not want to charge a big price for my window cleaning because I Lusitania recently started and so I’m not the best!

    Thank you soooo much.... I professionally clean Apt. ... but had a "Store Front" call me to clean their windows inside and out... Each pain was 5' x 15' times 15 window and I didn't know how to charge for it... (still don't truthfully)... but at least now after seeing your video I have an idea... Thank you ;)

    I went to bbb (better business bureau), found another window cleaning company and posed as a homeowner looking for a quote on specific windows. worked out pretty well. Turns out i can charge up to $18 for 6/6 with storm windows.

    the difficult thing when starting out is to learn what takes time. When you have to go and make an offer for a big job with a lot of different challenging windows and you havent had any similar jobs, the pricing can be hard. You either end up being to cheap or way to expensive. When you know how long a job will take you, the Price will be accurate. If someone else is cheaper its there own problem and they probably wont last 2 Months. figure out some generel prices for panes and setting up your ladder/extension pole + other time comsuming stuff. When you get this right, you can stick to these when pricing any job no matter size.

    Keith, I must of watched this vid over 10 times it is a really motivating story and clear cut to the real world of window cleaning. Growing up I always told myself I wanted to start a professional window cleaning business. Just recently after hitting a financial hardship I started posting adds made business cards etc just recently I had a private outside contractor call me about cleaning a few store fronts in a plaza. I did exactly how you did it I charged him as low as 30.00 per store front. At this point I know it is the beginning stages to building a clientele but I’m still trying to figure out how to really get more jobs in plazas or strip malls. as I tried to talk to so many business owners and even have done a lot of window fronts free of charge but have not been lucky enough to get much business. I know I just started but do you have any suggestions or advice on how to get business or what market to target.
    Thank you 🙏🏻

      Brother, you have to get out there. Treat it like a job. For a certain amount of hours you are going to go to store, to store, and to store and ask to clean their windows. The more no thank you's you hear, the wider your smile should get. You will land clients! If you charge them $10 clean em like your changed them $100. People watching you clean will offer you to clean their windows at full price or more. I'm talking you this from my own experience. Your are welcome. 🤗 Go get that schmoney!

    I was lucky enough to start with a company in my teen years cleaning windows, I figured out early to target houses and stay away from storefronts. I learned a lot working for them. I'm just stumped on the prices of some windows where I live. Just wondering if you have any method of how you charge houses. I'm assuming it has to do on where they live and the type of window, how dirty, etc. Around here the going rate for a basic one over one window starts around $7 and goes up. The block 6/6 and 12/12 with storms I'm stumped on how to go about pricing different types of windows. I guess I could call other companies and ask them, but don't think they'd just give me that info. Thanks for any advice!

    So how would u approach sites that have tons of items on the inside of property that block the window pane.

    • @keith-kalfas
      @keith-kalfas  9 лет назад +1

      ask them to move it.. while I start in the opposite end..
      or just move the shit real quick.
      now I ask them before hand.. and soon will be included in emails.
      if it's too bad. I skip the window.

      There are several things to think about before you setup your own cleaning company
      are you likely to have help from you family?
      Are you someone who is self-motivated?
      Will you stick to your plan?
      Do you have the funds to go ahead?
      (I learned these and the reasons they work on Enata Setup System site )

  • @jerrywaters4814
    @jerrywaters4814 Год назад +1

    You're absolutely wrong sir. Why would you start your business going backwards? And to tell somebody that you want them to fail off the get-go!!! Look talking X amount dollar$ per window or panes to beginners...
    Tell me this how you come up by the window or panes. Keep it simple and understandable to the costumes.
    It is like this a 5x5 window has 25 square feet 25x.10=2.5!
    That's a ball park but the reality is don't look at the hourly amount but rather look at what dollar amount per hour you make but rather a business makes which will determine how much you make per hour.
    I'm just getting started with window cleaning, and $30 an hour is less walking out making $150 for that same hour... The problems don't rely on other people's advice, do your homework
