If I had to describe a lot of these reload animations aesthetically, they feel very “casual” and straight forward.
At least _someone_ didn't call it robotic. If I were you, any video about BF4 would get spam disliked.

Practiced and mastered I think is how I see them. Pro soldiers who know exactly what to do and exactly how to do it, every time.
I think there’s two worlds of reload animations at this point. Realistic and harsh, and smooth and buttery, both are satisfying. For comparison, Battlefield 4 being smooth and CoD MW2019 being harsh, both is amazing.
I remember reading that the developers deliberately intended for the reload animations to be almost robotic like.

Finally, someone says harsh instead of snappy. So many people think cod mw animations are snappy when the intention was to look harsh while handling the gun.
The railgun honestly has the best reload animation
I agree, but my favorite has to be the CS5, it twists and turns from side to side.

Yeah this is something COD devs couldn't live upto, COD has it advantages, but BF certainly excels more than what COD does

COD is more "arcadey" and fast paced and has better gunplay than Battlefield.
Battlefield aims for a more realistic experience ( atleast more than COD ) and has slower but more dynamic combat.
Both games excel in different ways , it's really up to your preference and what game we're comparing.

These animations, for it being a 2013 game, are unbelievable. Honestly, they MORE than hold their own to this day.
Especially that for the rpg 7 he actually pulls the hammer back and that detail is not even in modern warfare

I love that when he finishes reloading a rocket launcher and puts the gun on his shoulder, the screen shakes and you can really feel the weight of it.

i miss when different games had their own unique feel to their animations, i feel like you could pull clips from any modern fps in the last 5 or so years and i wouldnt be able to tell them apart, they all look so derivative of newer cod games/warzone now
its just mag out mag in, theyre boring, plus not realistic, nobody can tac reload that fast, u wast a lot of time putting ur semi spent mag in ur pouch and then take the fresh one out

My favourite part was where he reloaded with the snow gently falling.
Also, there's something strangely satisfying about the noise of these well-engineered mechanical processes.
It just doesn't feel right without dropping a full mag for one in the chamber.

Love the reloads of this game! Other than the bolt action snipers ejecting a phantom casing after reloading they are all so smooth.

MTAR-21 and Rorsch Mk1 are my favorites.
Battlefield 4 is easily my favorite entry in the series. it was just the right amount of near future tech and it just worked. i hope that at east some of it's content gets added to Battlefield Portal.

I don’t think there’s any major setback differences compared from PC to console, unlike the same comment on the MW3 reload animations video, which MW3 was held back with depressing atmosphere and 720p setbacks.
The term "randomized" fits well with this video.

I’d recommend doing this in categories such as pistol, then shotguns , then smg, ar’s, then lmgs, then rocket launchers, then specials. it is kind of annoying how it just goes to weapons from different categories.

At Battlefield 2042, how many weapons will be frictional and how many were exist IRL?
If I'm not mistaken, only IRL based weapons have been shown.
All weapons are IRL just the names are different.
@@nsgxd8343 True. Although some are altered in ways that could make them fictional. For example, the Glock 52 is pretty much a burst 18c. M5A3 is just the MCX Spear.

I.e. special forces of pretty much any major military, forces like the USA's Green Berets/Airborne or even Delta force for Army, SEALs for the Navy, Special Operations Command for Air Force and Marines, etc.

93R is not fictional. It's a real gun that can fire bursts. It is called beretta 93 raffica.
It's just an M9 with a foregrip and a few other doodads to mockup a 93R. The real thing looks wildly different.
The 93R in games like BF4 and MW2 is just an M92 with a foregrip. The real one looks completely different.

One thing that I like compared to cod (in animations) is how the people are fragile with it. It’s straightforward. In real life do you flip the mag before putting it in no. The people are fragile and they know it could jam.

I really do not want to sound harsh, but I am absolutely astonished by everyone who says too much about those reloads. They feel fake as hell, and even bf3 reloads were more realistic. Not going to overreact on this- reloads in bf4 are absolutely functional and ok, it is online shooter, but there's nothing to say "can't believe that's was in 2013"

With some optimization, these anims could easily poop on MW's.
What I mean by optimization is that some of these feel feel janky to me. Still, I do like the anims despite that minor flaw.

I see the reloads here and the ones from BF3, and I simply can't understand why people try to compare them to the CoDs from around the time, which love them or hate them, have always been on a different level than Battlefield's, not since MW2019 but always, apparently. Only BF1 and BFV have some sort of weight to it.
This right here is nowhere near the first Black Ops or MW2 in terms of animation. They're slow and very robotic like. The graphics are fantastic though.
