TBH, at this point, a revisited Jean guide for 4.2 is probably something worth considering. I would at least watch it for sure despite having her for quite a while.
For furina teams? VV set, atk atk heal bonus, then er sword. If you're using fav sword, focus substats on er>cr>atk. Any other weapon just do er>atk.
C6 triple-crowned Jean with jadecutter & 4 VV ER/atk/CD 90/190 crit ratio 160 ER, she gets more consistent burst with fav but still works fine in 90% of situations with good rotations & high artifact investment.
I am probably the only weird one here who go for Hybrid Driver Jean. I am using Aquila Favonia sword and using VV with Er Atk Atk pieces with decent ER and Cri sub stat. The plan is to play her on Teaser Furina team and use Jean as On field Driver. Doing Physical, battery/heal/VV the enemy. It is doing quite well tbh.
As you can see, there are lots of way you can approach with Jean build nowadays with Furina. So I think a more in-depth discussion might be interesting.
For me it was Noelle. Apart from being a geo main, I honestly thought she's hit the ceiling with all the buffs she got after Inazuma (husk+Gorou+Yunjin+Redhorn) but she now has a higher ceiling with Furina and a Hunter's set. Mind you, the only other option to hit so hard with geo is a hyper invested Itto and his only competitor in this sphere is probably the first 4 star character you pull for when starting the game. This gives my full respect for Genshin because unlike other games (**cough ToF) it's all just a non stop powercreep bonanza. Genshin makes older players like Noelle and Jean likeable and even more playable.

Strange video as the people on the "glow up" list outside of Jean are people already frequently used/meta characters and the people on the honorable mention outside of Kazuha are the characters that got massive glow ups (Barbara/Noelle/Cyno)
I agree that "glow up" isnt accurate to describe them but these character do get massive improvement which is more of an accurate statement

@@k4mkz3x I mean, that's a given. But that's not the point here. Dehya got indeed a bit better because of Furina. I would test how better she really is right now myself, but sadly I don't have Dehya in my account yet to test that, so I had to resort to videos in YT. Might not be "wow, so much damage", but still, an improvement is an improvement, despite it being a big or a small one.
@@GoshTimeBRDehya started getting a glow up with Lyney as a support, continued it with Neuvillette (I don't use her in his teams as much anymore, but still, a solid character for a burnvape Neuvillette, although you do need Nahida and Kazuha too) and continues to get better with Furina as a DPS. Still, there are better choices for all roles, but still, she's better to play than she was before.
I got her in Neuvillette's banner before I got him, so, by the time I got him, I'd levelled her up and started playing them together. Not bad at all. But in her other teams...was questionable

Love Jean so much as a character. Jean deserves this glow up so much as well as my girl Kokomi who got way too much hate when she was first released and I stayed by her side haha
Klee's pretty amazing too with Furina D:
noelle was the biggest winner for me. I had her on the red horn but the energy needs made her only fun to play in some situations. furina gives her more team flexability and the extra damage she gives allows you to run an er claymore and still hit big numbers which solves the er issues noelle has
I want to agree but her element is the thing that puts her down, she can't top off the characters on this list that is composed of hydro, dendro and anemo. Well thats why she is only in honorable mentions.
@@Sadanobu123 If we're talking about characters who have had a glow-up, I don't think Neuvillette should have been on the list tbh, since he's already one of the top dps characters atm. His spot in the tier list didn't really change much compared to say Baizhu. Noelle herself definitely went up in the rankings from her previous spot, moreso than Neuvillette.
@@kiryukanzaki1141 I disagree, Neuvilette literally has an increase of 71.5% to 82.9% while Noelle has 1% to 2.2% in akasha, plus his best f2p weapon prototype amber received a glow up. Additionally with Furina's release he can now go HP goblet and his C1 became even better. He also received a better sub dps whilst he and Furina helped each other in generating energy.
Noelle is great and I simp for her by giving her Redhorn but you can't really say she has the best glow up because she has too many restrictions and limitations, and Furina's release didn't solve her major issues like requiring the Geo team, energy issues, terrible reactions, and needing Redhorn to match against other top dps. Even if you have all of these, what's the point of using her with Furina when other main dps does better with the Furina and Jean/Baizhu team, unless you are a simp for Noelle there is really no point in building her like how people are required to build their Jean to maximize Furina buff.

I ended up throwing Jean on a Hu Tao team and replacing some goblets in the process because of furina’s C1 ceiling vs diminishing returns on dmg%. Marechaussee Hunter also was a huge winner from furina and the resin efficiency of that domain.

@@RadhaKrishnKunjo it's a bit of a sidegrade from zhongli double hydro tao if you're using Homa. But for DB, it's an upgrade damage wise. Good for immobile but horrible against mobs that move out of Jean's circle.
@@mystirboynah I find the team comp actually better since marechausse is a massive crit value increase and can comparably dish out CA dmg equivalent to shimenawa without the weird energy drain and also buffing the burst since its crit (and yes, im also using homa). also vv shred > zhongli shred so the hydros also hit harder. and its not like hutao cant drop under 50% in a furina team, its just not practical to expect it to happen every rotation so I treat it as a bonus dmg
bonus if you also have freedom sworn (kazuha bis) to equip on jean for an extra boost of dmg

I think klee should be in here somewhere as a klee main. She is able to use the new artifact set with furina which is now by far her new best team!
The sound effects of hitting played during the intro are the Ragnarok Online sound effects, most especifically, the hunters normal attacks hits.
Yelan also gets massively buffed by furina. Furina can buff off field dmg dealers which is her huge advantage over many other supports. Not to mention the sheer hydro applications from both of them makes a team of yelan+ furina highly wanted for many dps, especially vape teams

@@icedtohfuu9555 Yes, but two things in relation to that:
1) A healer that doesn't provide the team with anything else of note is not going to get used when other options offer healing + other things.
2) Qiqi's best healing is from her burst, which requires energy. And since her energy production is bad, now you need a support for your support, which is also a less than ideal situation (and similar to the issue support Dehya suffers from as well, where she needs another defensive support in addition to herself).
That said, Dehya is in a far better situation than Qiqi. She has more effective teams, she offers things other characters can't, and people even manage turning her into a carry (which is a waste of her potential, if you ask me, as there are better ways to use her as the on-fielder).

imo C6 noelle should be among top 3 winner with furina's introduction. furina enabling marechausee set allows noelle to tap into everything she's good at, at once; high damage, very tough shield and on-field healing, making her one of the better on-fielders once again.
arguably husk set can probably pump out similar damage numbers but unlike husk, marechausee is much more resin-efficient to farm in the long run plus furina's off-field damage adding up to hers resulting in overall much better total damage. by adjusting ER between her and furina, noelle can now have more teammate option compared to just monogeo from before- although taking at least gorou is very recommended for both energy battery and def buff. now if only they have better relic set for gorou.....
As a Noelle main since 1.0, I concur! I still have all sets I grinded for her through the years and the marechasee was the easiest to grind and is, by far, my best Noelle set when paired with Furina.
@@FelipeCollalto likewise! Got her to C6 by the middle of 1.x era. Got a pretty sick 4pc retracing bolide on her lol. By the time Itto rolls in, I switched to him as my geo powerhouse so it's a shame that Noelle just stays there gathering dust on the bench, especially since abyss got too tough for her to perform.
But with furina+marechausee now she absolutely slays in abyss, especially on floors with lots of riftwolves.

After 3 years being a Jeanless traveler, I finally got her in 4.0, and her c1 in 4.1 XD
And then 4.2 came.
Funny thing is jean was my most wanted on launch and it took me almost 3 years to get her as a low spender. I lost all 7 50/50s this year to finally get her and then Furina comes shortly after. It's been so fun and comfortable to use her.

Kokomi was already really good, I would have put Noelle on this spot with how powerful and easy her wet rock team are, actually out of all the character in game she probably got one of the biggest glow up with Furina.
Used Jean, Furina, Neuvillette and a flex in the latest Abyss and they shredded everything in sight. And I don't have any constellations or 5* weapons.
Well considering neuv can solo at C0. Not that surprising lmao. Buffing an already really strong unit.
An interesting idea would be to create a dps showdown between clasic vs mid vs new DPS characters to see really how much power creep is there in Genshin, something like Diluc (the original DPS), Hu Tao a DPS from the middle of the game and someone like Lyney or Neuvillete (a new DPS) to see how much powercreep is there in Genshin since the Beginning of the game...
Cannot agree more. I already have Jean/Noelle/Barbara built for a long time but could not really fit these healers into any reasonable team comp with enough damage for floor 12. Now with Furina, I can try many more options!

in freminets event the battle section i had a perfectly built jean which was the main ingredient to make the trial furina absolutely crush the enemies/score board

You forgot about eula, when i use, eula, furina, kuki, rosaria, this team is surprisingly very compatible, i never thought i could have a freez comp team with eula because she shatters with claymore.
With the help of furina my eula is doing great overall damage and i just can't imagine a more perfect team.

For me it was Noelle, I used her a little at the beginning of the game in 1.0 and completely abandoned her for the past 3 years but now combined with Furina, a craftable weapon (Whiteblind) and the Marechausse artifact set she's just great.

I legit started using Jean after I pulled Furina.
She was benched at C4 all this time.
My go-to Furina team is Furina, Jean, Bennett and Xiangling. And they do so well together.
I feel like physical dps can also compete with melt/vape comps again, because they have now a good dmg bonus buffer, where as before kazuha would just boost the elemental dmg ones

c1 eula with pale flame phys goblet and signature had over 150% dmg bonus.

And if Raiden doesnt mind over 250% damage bonus with her low multipliers, surely Eula wont mind them either

@@vukkicos5688 More than that. 58% from Goblet. 50% from Pale Flame set bonus. 30% from C1. 20% from her weapon.
That said, I can't say Eula really benefits more than other characters. I had Eula in my Abyss team, but she barely got to do anything, because Yae + Furina just killed everything. Furina does benefit Eula, but that high phys DMG means her damage increases less, percentage-wise, than most other characters. And those characters will also tend to benefit more from Furina being a hydro. Though having a character that majorly buff her and is good for off-field shield breaking is definitely a big plus.
@@Axterix13 I havent accounted for C1, but damage bonus goblet gives 46% dmg bonus across the board, so it is 108% phys dmg bonus at C0.
Even if you overcapped on dmg bonus, you can always switch dmg bonus goblet to atk% one

I had C3 Jean (cause she's my 50/50 killer) built a long time ago , but never used her.
Thanks to Furina, i used her and she helped my 36 star abyss alongside Venti and Ayato
I rlly find it quite amusing how Kokomi just kept getting better each nation update.
A complete 360° prediction turnaround when she was first introduced in the game lol
and I love how it's a prediction turnaround since I tried her on my alt in 2.1 and immediately decided to pull for her on my main. Ended up getting her in 3.0, have been using her in many teams since. But I am one of those people who love healers and I have all of them (I think) now
shes one of the most gaslit characters in the game. she is not a staple in many of the best teams in the game cuz xingqui, yelan and even Barbara exist. how can we say kokomi is one of the best characters in the game when shes highly replaceable and only benefits a lot of mid tier teams? I wouldnt exactly say taser is a top 3 team

the context of the video is how the characters got glow up.... the reason why Xingqiu and Yelan aren't in the list is bec everybody else (including myself) knows that they are good.
Nobody said Kokomi is a staple in any team like, all I literally said is she keeps getting better with the expansion of team rosters. I don't even know why you need to mansplain how she's replaceable when everybody knows that Hydro units are all equally flexible....

C6 double-crowned Furina enjoyer, having a blast experimenting with all these characters/team comps, except the couple I don't have. Have to mention, hunter HuTao with Furina Jean Yelan blows away HuTao's OG 2x hydro Zhongli team, it's glass cannon but the dmg boost from fanfare is no contest.
I'm playing Noelle with marechaussee set since Furina came out and I'm enjoying every moment.

Noelle hunter set + Furina is so much fun and very powerful, before Furina even with C6 Gorou I feel like Geo team feels weak and can barely able to finish abyss but now be it double hydro double geo or triple geo, Noelle feels so good to use, Furina is a huge upgrade in Noelle team dps definitely cuz not many people can buff Geo

I always said from back in 1.3 when I started to understand how characters work: getting Jean or losing 50/50 to her is never a loss. So glad my favourite standard 5 star is now meta 3 years later 💙
The MH set has the biggest win in my opinion, Furina allows anyone to use it now
I feel like Dehya could be in this list easy with most Fontaine characters
Lyney mono-pyro, Neuvilette vape/burgeon, probably good with cheveruse, and Furina letting dehya get consistent vapes, passive fanfare stacks, and less squishy characters during furina ult mode. She’s not BiS, but it’s definitely way better even if the bar was really really low

Jean was my first 5stars (2 years ago) and i used her on every team up until inazuma😂 also helps that i have her c4 but for somereason i don't have diluc mona or dehya 😭

Hard agree with the Jean glow up. I ran the Neuvy/Furina/Jean/Zhongli team this last rotation and got one of my comfier 36 stars in memory. I think the last time I even thought about using her was an old double geo double anemo Xiao team and that was 1.something time.

I am so happy that somehow i managed to get cyno c0 and c1 plus his weapon within 70 pulls, while beating the 50/50 both times, but i was just trying to get a copy of kuki brah.
I simply love Furina and how she helped Baizhu who was back then called being an unnecessary unit at all and how also Furina is so awesome with Wriothesley as a Fontain dps with no team restrictions

i dunno i feel like putting noelle in the honorable mentions and having furina in the number 2 was a bit of a cop out probably because you dont play noelle, which is cool >_> but she came up extremely hard on 4.2. From being able to use the Maruchan hunter set on crit builds with furina and being a great healer for furina she just got a huge buff. Currently my favorite team is Furina, Miko, Albedo, and Noelle...Its the most ungabunga team in the game hands down

My fav team is Noelle, Albedo, Furina, Yelan then change Yelan for C6 Gorou for spin to win Noelle, both are great. The first team perform better in single target and spin 2 win is OP in AOE. Albedo dmg buffed by Furina is massive, he can easily reach 40k/flower without gorou now and Noelle too can do 20-30k/slash and Furina also deal 15-40k off field casually
But yea the 4th team member is flex one as it could be anyone be it another off field dps like Fischl or another buffer/support like Gorou or Zhongli
I own c1 r1 neuvillette and furina with good fathfull festering D i use the together alongside the 3* hp pole john lee and r3[curently] amenoma sword jean [with viri set] and holy shit is this combo insane
my team is Furina, Xingqiu, Sayu and (flex) Bennet. and its so effective since my Sayu is C6 using skyward and I'm Sayu main when I was low AR
I like Furina with Yae. She cranks up Yae's damage even more, and tacks on another character that just happily blasts things at range. Add in a dendro (say, Nahida, another characters that happily blows stuff up at range) or Fischl (hey, also does things at range), and then maybe an anemo healer... stuff just dies wherever it happens to be standing.
Not sure Kaz deserves the honorable mention. Those teams with Jean in them? Guess who got booted to make room for that Furina cheerleader...
Thoughts on characters that may have gotten worse with Furina release? My C3 Mona and C0 Shenhe feel a bit redundant when I can just run Furina in freeze
I was happy when Furina got released! Now my C6 Jean from losing most of the 50/50s isn't collecting dust anymore
Looks like I need to build my Jean
Fun fact: If you are using Neuvilette with Prototype Amber (which most F2P players might consider), his team healing can he good enough that you barely need a healer at all (especially when you accompany him with a shielder).
This is because when Neuvi absorbing the ballz, the %HP healing of himself got amplified by Fanfare too, thus allows him to consistently overheal himself and trigger Furina's 1st talent. When I tested this out, Neuvi can consistently reach 200-250 fanfares per rotation for himself, which is quite impressive for a team with NO proper HEALER at all.
With the omitted healer role, you can slot in Kazuha in place of Jean, or Fischl/Yae in place of Baizhu, the latter option indeed deals way more dmg and still benefits greatly from Fanfare effect.
Of course, this setup won't work as consistently on Neuvi with his signature weapon, nor will it work at all against enemies like Rifthounds, but it's still a rather optimal option to consider for F2P.
OFC an Archon comes in and characters get a glow up😂.

Furina created a new "fuk you, I win" trio, Furina-Jean-Yelan, now they stand among other powerhouse trios like Xiangling-Bennett-Xingqiu, Nahida-Kuki-Xingqiu, Ayaka-Kokomi-Kazuha and Raiden-Bennett-Kazuha that can carry your off-meta fave into the depths of the abyss floor 12.
IT'S NOELLE! She is absolutely amazing with 4pc hunter and Furina.

If you don't have c1 neuv, a shielder. Beidou counts. If you have Jean, then Jean
c0 Neuv Furina Jean Fischl if you are good at dodging enemy attacks to not get interrupted. Jean Zhongli if you want more safety.
Neuvillette furina Zhongli Kazuha is their best team if you can survive. If not, use Charlotte with Kazuha

my C4 Jean is enjoying the company of Furina
I think genshin will eventually start taking from star rails play book especially during this final stretch they already actually have with somewhat small but appreciated qwol changes like single clicking and using more artifacts for enhancements you know also start much closer to the key when you enter and reenter domains than before. I think they are going to have to focus on these types of changes as well more end game or high end repeatable content especially because now a very large majority of the player base is Max lvl and don't have much to do besides the story content and now that we are in the last few laps of said story new players are going to feel less motivated to stop and to top all that off they now have competition that can take away players from them granted it a game still owned by them but from afar it seems like these game are being developed with separate teams and little cross contanimation even thou they are under the same roof (last part just a guess )
So far, Version 4.2 has been the best one yet! It was abslutely perfect on so many levels! I doubt they will ever be able to top this Version! But time will tell

In Neuvillette hypercary i think petra zhongli+ r5 prototype amber works better than baizhu, zhongli provides 20% def shred+35% hydro damage bonuc for both furina and baizhu, and r5 amber+ Neuvillette self healing can easily max furina's stacks and on top of that if you execute the rotation perfectly you can do 4-5 rotation without reaching half health (r5 amber + Neuvillette's self healing with furina's healing bonus make it that Neuvillette's healing over flows so it makes furina's second passive activate and heal the party for another 4%)
I actually figure that it'll be Jean, coz I myself started using her, my Jean was only Level 60/70 with 6, 6 and 6 talent, and now she is at Level 90, with 6, 9 and 9 talent. She literally shine because of Furina.
@IWinToLose I have Furina with her weapon, however I am struggling to replace Kazuha on my teams with Furina. Especially on my Neuvillette team. Am I alone here?
why cant u put both of them in one team? is it for neuvis passive?
Try Neuv Furina Kazuha Zhongli/Baizhu
or Neuv Furina Jean Fischl
or Neuv Furina Nahida Raiden (with prototype amber on both Nahida and Neuv)
@SeenE-kg9nj My go to best team for Neuvillette is with Him, Zhongli, Raiden, and Kazuha. I have been running Furina with Alhaitham, Nahida, Furina, and Baizhu to good effect. She has 59.6% CR, 255.6% CD, and 184.9% ER. I just don't seem to be able to get the extra damage out her from a support standpoint like I see people saying they are.
@@taylorwall8801 Your Furina stats are very good so maybe you don't do the rotations correctly? The optimal way to play Furina is to first summon the minions who quickly drain a lot of party health, then use Furina Burst, then you switch to your healer (ideally Jean or Baizhu) and fill up all party health to quickly max out Furina fanfare stacks and finally switch to DPS and start hitting things. The extra damage is in the numbers on your main DPS - it's not Furina herself that does it
