Takuto Maruki has legitimately inspired me to begin looking into therapy/counciling as a career path
So long as you don't follow his example it should be fine. He literally crosses so many ethical boundaries, and that is just as a counselor.
@A.A. 2750 Ehhhhhh...the path to hell is paved with good intensions. So while he is well meaning he cannot be objectively said to be a good person. He does some pretty reprehensible things in service of his ideals. But that, I feel, is the point of that last interaction with him. Maruki can't go back after what he is done. He can only try again...only this time with the hard won wisdom he obtained from going down the wrong path.
Dunno if you’ve seen them, but there’s a YT channel called “Thought Bubble” where a counseling student discussed maruki’s counseling session theyre very interesting and he discusses what counseling as a career is like etc

Maruki is just handsome af. I think that is delibrate. Part of his thing is how most of the female body of the school is swooning over him. He even genuinely cares about people and their feelings. He just has that tragic past that makes him do regrettable things.

My psychology teacher once said that when going into youth counseling, always mention snacks. The mind is attracted to food, and it makes it easier to relax your mind when you get sugary snacks in exchange for talking about your baggage (generally, obviously doesn't work Everytime)
