wonderful to see people trying new things, and takes extraordinary skill to teach basics to inexperienced people when you have the lifelong skill. translating "know how" to "how to" is a special gift.
I like his comment about brandings! They really are about survival rather than a learning experience for younger horses. Most brandings you better have your best horse because its what it takes to get through them.
Thank you for sharing this with all of us "students"! I really learned a lot of things I didn't know but grateful to have learned! I am prayerfully hopeful that one day I'll be back in the saddle and will be practicing the exercise without a rope til I get my groove back and learn how to handle a rope properly! Can't wait to see more! Sending much love to Pat, Deb & Chinaco ~ Sheri
Great video. I think a lot of people don't understand "why" or the purpose of the training and exercises. This makes it very clear. Can't wait to see the next one with the calves.
This is not alanon! 😂 I needed a good laugh today. Thanks!!! I appreciate your time and knowledge. Always learn a few things from you. Keep doing what you do! Remember.....Keep Smiling and Stay Grateful 😊

I was glad to hear Pat get the opportunity to mention slipping rope! Thank you for mentioning where this took place!

How great that your clinic was close enough that you could take Chinaco with you. Pat must love riding him in demonstrations and such.

cracked me up, too..and there is no reason for you to go to the icu...
Dave Weaver has everyone's horse follow the log as well, most horses have an issue with it and need the opportunity to get over it. Its big medicine!
Very well put pat
Interesting how my hole concept of how to rope has changed now. I see what to do and why to do it that way now.
“The hell you are. I wouldn’t even buy green bananas if I were you” 😂
Pat-ism..."You are going-to-die!"
👍👍👍
Bonjour from los Normandios 💥❤️🔥!!
oh those logs!!!
The benefit of not roping: you can get hip replacements and still buy green bananas!😂
Gracias
