I have been thinking for a few years now that if Africans, especially from the north-eastern countries, start to get into professional cycling then they could be as successful in cycling as they have been in their dominance in distance running. I think the entry cost of equipment is the barrier here and the Rwandan initiative is such a great thing. Well done Chris and team!
Indeed. After she retired she took up glass engraving and for our 25th wedding anniversary (30 years ago!) my wife commissioned an engraved dish depicting our activities (cycling, sailing, motorcycling and walking). Some woman!
I saw Dan beat Chris Froome. 2009 British Nationals. 1. House, 2. Lloyd, 3. Kennaugh, 4. Froome. But Froome had been in the two man break (with Wiggins) and was still attacking on the last lap from the final group of four. Almost certainly the only race they were both in contention to win.

Enjoyed the show very much as always. To be honest, I didn't love the hack/bodge timing. The organization and flow works better the old way. Doesn't matter though. I'm sure we could all get used to it and maybe it'll help stabilize engagement. Or maybe it'll do the exact opposite. 🤷♂️
Not sure if Dan is talking about the Lotus road bike or himself….”Its amazing how its has aged with time and I know it stands the advantage of having been within the rules at the time and no longer within the rules now”?🤣
Another great show, as usual, but I'm disappointed that you have switched to using a shotgun mic instead of Lavaliers. I like to put the show up on my big screen with my big sound system every Tuesday at lunch time to enjoy your high production values, but I'm now getting some getting some undesirable small room echo. I see Dan still uses a Lav on the racing show and Stan and Ollie still use them on the Tech show with great results. Please go back to the Lavaliers!

I think the biggest hurdle among Africans in pro cycling is getting Visas. It's no joking matter. I don't like it either because I also live in a poor country and getting visa for me to visit USA and other rich countries is as improbable as winning the grand lottery pot.
I generally only ever take my wheels off to put my fatbike in my car, and I HAVE previously accidentally squeezed the brake lever. So now I keep a large flathead screwdriver in my car's tool kit primarily for pushing the pads back into the caliper
Tbf to the eurobike, it sounds like it'd be a good winter/commuter bike rather than wearing through expensive components. £7k though, ouch. Good sweet spot on carbon gravel around £2500.
To be interviewed; Merhawi Kudus and Omer Goldstein for the guys Omi Shapira and Kasia Niewiadoma for the gals Four totally amazingly different and awesome people!!
There's a big factor in these prestigious KOM's: lack of drug testing. It's unclear what Strava rules are, and it's just an honor system if there are any rules.

I would love to hear from Luca Vergalito on how life is after Zwift Academy
piddock. his answers would probably be hilarious
I would pay a medium amount of money to see a video of Ollie and Chris Froome debating the pros and cons of Oval Chainrings.
Thanks for interviewing Froome. Very much miss him at the top of the cycling circuit.
Froomey the best of all !!!!
Nice Froome interview! Never seen the guy so relaxed. Really happy for him.
On his youtube channel he is always relaxed like that. Class guy!
Yeah he is a nice guy.
Highly recommend most recent Life In The Peloton, Mitch Docker's podcast. Great interview with Froomey.
@@robotomassi2011 Thanks for posting this. I am going to check it out.

Wouldn’t that be a great documentary they could make?
I have a picture of Eileen on my office wall, promoting Hercules bikes (you know, the one's without electric gear changers). Chapeau, Eileen.
I was so enthralled with the preview for the KOM hunters video, that when the screen came up for caption competition I forgot where I was.

Thanks guys. Great racing and documentaries. I’d like to see a Luke Rowe interview as I reckon he has plenty of tales to tell.

Sure would be good to see Froomy return to form such that he contests the pointy-end of the peleton. Go Chris!!!

I agree make cycling accessible to people with less money, ban TT bikes! The best rider will still win.
