Hey Heather! When applying foil to wood, once I get the foil laid down and stuck, I wouldnt touch the foil with my fingers at all - (as you found, the oil on your fingers sticks to the foil) I use a soft watercolor brush (or any soft brush really) to both burnish the foil down, and to brush away the excess pieces. You are still able to save pieces this way, you just have much less tearing. Try it with a brush!
As for what I personally would like to see, as a general crafter of many years, that is a total beginner in DIY Toppers, I would like to see a video of the "big picture" for beginners. Such as: The different types of blanks and how you prepare them, if any; Ways to decorate and your favorite products/tools for each: Paper (tissue, nail foil, metal leaf, cardstock, photos, etc), Glitter, and Vinyl (even though you don't have a cutting machine, just listing it as an option) Then finally finishing - favorite magnets and sealing products. I think a broad (not too specific on each) big picture like this would really help beginners get a grip, when it is easy to get overwhelmed with so many possibilities. (Sorry that was so long, it might mean the video would be too long too, haha!)

I’ve never used this metal foil before! That’s a great tip! I’ll think about an all arounder beginning video. Thanks for the suggestion.

I think you need to use the tacky glue your suppose to use under foil. Once you put the foil on top of the tacky glue, it will not come off. Then you use a soft brush to burnish and get excess foil off. Then top coat with UV resin.
I would like to see you make the frames in the silicone mold also. Thank you for making these videos..😊
