I genuinely can’t comprehend how this sort of general knowledge passes people by. Just by living on planet Earth you should know some of these things haha
Or ‘Which US pop artist?’ about 90% of the time it’ll be Andy Warhol but they’ll throw a Roy Lichtenstein or Jasper Johns in every now and again to mess with you haha.
I think I just found a potential Mandela effect! Arnold Schwarzenegger played Mr Freeze in the 1997 Batman and Robin moviee, but he didn't say "Ice to see you". That was said by Ranier Wolfcastle, the Simpsons character that is a parody of Schwarzenegger, and he said it 6 years before Batman and Robin!
3:43 - Darragh reveals what, in my opinion, is the Chase's biggest flaw. Too many questions are obvious before the question is asked: "Which Danish toy company..." - Lego "Which Swedish furniture company..." - IKEA "Which radio soap..." - The Archers "Which satirical magazine..." - Private Eye "Which pop artist..." - Andy Warhol
@@ChorltonandtheWheelies Yup, any question starting with Which Grime artist, just blurt out Stormzy, same goes with Which Canadian Rapper, answer is always Drake. Also, which Graffitti/Guerilla Artist, say Banksy.
but this is how the show works, you have an equal number of hard to easy questions. You are just focusing on the easy, but I could do the exact same thing to you but with the hard questions
Bear in mind that they ask about 150 questions per show, there or thereabouts. So these ‘Default’ answers can only get you so far and there’s probably about 3 of them every episode, they don’t crop up anymore than that. Plus, sometimes you need them to get the momentum going in a final chase, to build up some speed, otherwise you just won’t answer enough questions to set a decent target.
A true Irish man would have said way worse, especially given they still colonise part of Ireland, on the other hand probably a bit to direct for a podcast hosted by an English man to be fair 😂
As Darragh points out, we noticed at home certain starts to questions which always have the same answer. He said if it's "Which graffiti artist... " then it's Banksy, etc. My wife and I have noticed if the question starts "Which Canadian rapper..." then the answer is Drake. If the question starts "Which Canadian popstar..." then the answer is usually Justin Bieber. "Which Canadian singer..." = Celine Dion!
6:06 awww Yes That’s Correct. 😂 6:36 Has no idea, gets given initials. AF. “Anne Frank”. “She had a lot of time left”. Idk how to react to that, that’s just ridiculous 😂

Play a long at home and let us know your answers in the comments... BE HONEST! :)
Jack mate we know it’s you writing this because what is that spelling of along. Not smarter than a ten year old ❎
Got them all right
Darragh is such a likeable guy, way too much personality for a serious and intimidating chaser 😂
Comedic timing
just don't ask him about Vaccines! woop woop!
6:06 Darragh's response here was absolute comedic genius
Edit: comedic *gold*
Finally a good edited comment 😂 not some shit like thanks for the likes!!!!!!
@@harryblock_3826 Haha, that does my head in
That response reminds me of those "Getting past immigration" videos that Foil Arms and Hog make xD
6:41 "Anne Frank" is absolutely diabolical haha
"She famously didn't have much time" is hilarious lmao
didn't know carles puyol spoke english with an irish accent
Am I the only one that died at 8:30? "It's fuckin huge"😂
Nah same lmfao
Auuu...
CORRECT 😂
That was funny! Like a Two Ronnies sketch!
Incidentally, if you click `Translate to English` it translates Auuu... as `Ouch` 😂😂
Hope Darragh is on the show again, such a likeable guy!
I like how knowing Istanbul was known as Constantinople and Byzantium is seen as insane knowledge. Just common Roman Empire era knowledge that.
Love the chemistry between the boys and Mr Darragh, very main show-esque, friendly, casual, comfortable energy
Agreed Catherine!
The Chase _never_ has trick questions. If there's an obvious answer, that's the one.
Darragh has now stolen the mantle as my favourite Happy Hour guest! Hope he can come back in the near future
9:37the way they both sat back 🤣
I genuinely can’t comprehend how this sort of general knowledge passes people by. Just by living on planet Earth you should know some of these things haha
3:46 Similarly if the questions is which radio drama it’s always the Archers.

“Which flying mammal…” Bats. Always bats.
@@jac8680 to be fair that is the only flying mammal
I typed my comment without seeing this. I'm glad I'm not the only one who sees this
"Which engineer..." Isambard Kingdom Brunel
"Which county..." Kent
I love Stevie and Jack's identical reaction to hearing a cool fact lol
His lack of general knowledge is so depressing
"She had a lot of time."
"She didn't - she died when she was a teenager."
😂😂
*uncontrollable laughter follows*
"who will win?" between the chaser and someone who doesn't know pesto or the commonwealth...
Hahaha
Or that Anne frank invented penicillin 😂😂
Darragh is a top bloke.
He really is. The best chaser by a mile right?!
Really enjoyed Darragh being on. Such a nice chap.
I don't know why hearing Darragh curse really gets me laughing.

what killed the dinosaurs? the ice age!
Cool party!
So glad I found this comment, as I was going to put the same thing
I love the way Irish people just casually drop the word fuckin' into any sentence.
The chemical symbol for gold part 🤣🤣
Absolutely love this guy

The Vikings also called Istanbul miklagard, which roughly translates into "The city of gold" of the "Golden city"
I died laughing when Jack shouted cheese

Seems like the nicest guy on TV. Great vibes
7:31 Stevie did in fact NOT make that one up as it was a question on the chase

1957 gotta be a windup
I got all the questions right except for the Michael phelpps one.. should I apply for the Chase or were they actually all easy questions?😂
The Chase has a good mix of hard and easy questions, and throws them at you _fast._ This was a decent selection.
lowkey want to see vik vs a chaser in one of these quiz things

Here's a fun fact about Alexander Fleming.
Did you know that he isn't not related to the brother who didn't create James Bond?
Why can I not find anywhere it says France has 14 timezones? All I've read say 12
There is a slight chance that he was wrong 😮
13 including their part of Antarctica

Phoenix being spelt incorrectly on the thumbnail is really angering me
Oh dear, Jack...
Oh yes
Got 21
Phoenix, not Pheonix
Phœnix if you want to be properly traditional.
Not knowing about the commonwealth is tragic 😅
Also Russia has the most time zones, French colonies don’t count.
When's the soft play pod being released?
It’s out on Spotify. Been out almost 2 months!
7:29 I'm sure that question appeared on The Chase at some point, worded exactly like that
