With the lyrics, "In Seoul, to the SKY" it has a double meaning. 1st for the three prestigious "SKY" Universities in korea, as well as the afterlife. They really had deep messages early on❤
Before I knew about the S.K.Y Universities, that's how I interpreted the lyrics. Really heartbreaking but also real, and that's exactly what I love about them.
In the same way you appreciate the vlogs and interviews and moments where the guys are being honest about their struggles, showing that they aren't always happy, I think the Tribe appreciates when you do the same. It gladdens my heart when you're honest and up-front about not feeling like recording, being in a down mood, when a "darker" thought comes to mind. We're here for you NWH TL (:
Namjoon’s “I’ll prove it” was so incredibly brave, determined, and bold to say at that time. That boy had no idea he and his brothers would become the most iconic group worldwide. But he had the trust and the vision, and determination. Honestly ICONIC.
14:36 seeing this again and listening to Snooze and its live performance from DDAY Final makes me so emotional. SUGA has such a big heart. He is the helpful sunbaenim to younger artists now that these people should have been but were too selfish and closed-minded to even try
A lil lengthy, but: Please keep on reacting to this series. Ppl might criticize it, but see how the clips played during N.O. helped show some of the societal context that we can assume shaped the lyrics of the song? Then the clips regarding the idol system & the way they are viewed. Most of us are only exposed to BTS, not the Kpop industry nor Korean society. So content like this helps to strike some sort of curiosity as to what was/is going on & helps add more insight into Bangtan's music & even personality. Sparked some independent research in me at least. During my baby Army phase, that helped me realize even more why BTS are special. Their lyrics have substance, hence their timeless relatability. & the way they were trained might have some aspects of the idol trainee system, but you can see how Bang PD was also very much different w/ them. As we are still witnessing, they got to be themselves. 💜 I love that collectively, we will always scream "F**k" you know who. Slap him into C-Free is crazy 🤣🤣🤣 Also, I will never forgive them for adding the Vmin "Beach/B***h" clip in while RM was talking serious business 🤣 Because Idc how many times I've seen that clip, I must watch it multiple times. It's so funny 🤣🤣🤣 That & the fact that Hobi won a bronze medal for tennis, but there were only 3 teams will always get me 🤣🤣🤣 Thanks for another amazing reaction Tribe Leader!!! 💜
With every new video I watch, Jonathan, i see more and more how similar you and Namjoon are. Both highly intelligent, talented, but also frenetic. Totally see how he's your muse 💜
Loui please never stop reacting to AHL. your AHL videos are one of my favorite works of you ever. I've said this before, and I'll say it again armys who are hating on it must have never watched the show. as for me, I watched that show not even two months after I got in to BTS. it was back in 2016, so I didn't have all these other armys telling me not to watch the show or shit. I watched it and I loved it. why? no, not because the boys got kidnapped or dante's a jerk to them, but because I could see just how much the boys have learned from it, how precious the experiences are, how the show inspired and motivated them to be better. better artists and just better human beings in general (you'll see what I mean in later episodes). and mind you, BTS is literally the only idol group to ever have a show learning about hiphop from the masters themselves. says a lot, right? whether you like it or not, doesn't change the fact that this show is a very important part of the boys and their journey.
sir why are you asking, of course we want to watch the behind and deleted scenes with you!!! but also for the next episode, if it's the american hustle life one, then you might want to wait until you finish watching american hustle life since it's basically a summary of the show (if i remember correctly).
I hope you react to the deleted scenes and bonus content because they’re equally amazing as the chapters and not many have reacted to the deleted scenes and bonus contents so it will be amazing to watch it with you. I really like your reactions and personality.
I LOVE rise of bangtan and AHL, thanks for continuing these! (Fyi, ep 5 of rob basically goes over the entire ahl series, so maybe timing wise you could finish American hustle life before watching ep 5? Just to avoid spoilers? Yes, Jungkook started high school at the start of 2014 (age 16), and graduated in early 2017 (age 19). I also keep forgetting he was literally in school while being part of a world famous group. Sometimes he’d literally have an exam the day after a performance, it must have been pretty stressful/challenging at times.
Love watching Rise of Bangtan with you! Such a great series. I know people criticize it, but I feel like it covers a lot of ground and is great for new Army to get a fuller picture of their story. I would absolutely love for you to watch the deleted and bonus scenes with us - honestly some of the bonus content is like watching a Try not to Laugh compilation, it's full of hilarious moments. But don't burn yourself out! If it's too much extra to do, skip recording and just watch on your own. But definitely watch if you have time, it's so good. Borahae!
If ppl tried editing a BTS docu-series themselves, then they'll realize how hard it is to please everyone. Literally impossible. Some ppl criticize RoB, but are unable to make a better series to replace it. If one of them can come out a better series, then we'll watch that. Until then, we're going with RoB and if there are any major inaccuracies or misunderstandings, the comment section can always fill reactors in, not a big deal.
I made my #rainydays #LoveMeAgain playlist first before watching this...and here I am crying a river again during letter reading....I'm just so proud of them, they made it with lots of struggles and hardwork....they deserve happiness, love and all the success they're having now🥺🥺🥺🥺🥺🥺
41:55 this part about three biggest styles in music in Korea a bit incorrect. Biggest styles are ballads and trot. If you look at top artists in Korea it's Lim Young Won, IU and other ballad, pop ballad singers. And trot is popular with older aidience
Juan Fire Pants, we really like AHL and RoB just as much as stuff like Run BTS! You're right, RoB is great to see the serious side of things. Please watch the deleted scenes and bonus content on camera. So many insightful, entertaining and funny clips in those, we want to see your reaction! You can watch them right after you finish a chapter.
Even though I have my criticisms of this series, I'mma watch it with you Jonathan. BTS has always made good REAL music. But folks were downplaying them Saying they were a kpop group, that they are idols and puppets. This is why from 2018 to 2021 ARMY took a strong 'don't call bts kpop' or 'bts isn't kpop' stance. We have since changed our perspective but at the time to invite an international audience that take was necessary. Otherwise people were downplaying BTS depth in music and artistry because of the label of kpop. "TO MAKE YOU THINK AH SO THIS IS WHAT HE MEANT" "... TO CREATE MUSIC THAT GETS BETTER WITH EVERY LISTEN" BTS has achieved what they wanted from the beginning. ITS just that people were blind cus of the perceptions of kpop. I BLAME LEE SOOMAN FOR THIS. That devil of man has been nothing but a curse to bts. 😭✋ He created all this messy headlines about idol mistreatment and all these wierd rules. BTS had nothing to do with all that and they still were accused of being victims of the things Lee sooman perpetuated in his own company.
BTS also went back to the roots of Seo Taegi and the way they became a voice for the youth. Lee Sooman mangled what Seo Taeji did and what he wanted to see in music evolve in Korea. Sooman saw what made the most money, just like many labels in the US does and put together the idol system. I feel that BTS is what Kpop should have been from the beginning. Covering subjects that are more embraced outside of the idol music. Which is also considered kpop according to western media. So yeah they're kpop, cause they're Korean. I just don't really see them as the type of idols that Sooman created. Army also said BTS weren't kpop because kpoppies "kicked" out BTS and Army from Kpop. So Army went with it 😅
More on the list waiting for you Loui, we still have BTS IN THE SOOP, BTS BON VOYAGE and sooooooo much behind the scenes, special performance or short film,...ect, ect... but for now, you did great👍🤞
@loredell 🤣 For sure. There's the classic elevator prank from beginning to end. I think he might have seen a bit of it, but just out of context. Don't remember the video he was watching. And I can't forget the silent library chaos where the king is immune to the ridiculous penalties....I just feel bad for the person selecting the skull card each time. 🤣😭 Extremely hilarious and he'll get to see their growth for sure.
Hi Loui, I'm so glad you are familiar with these songs, right? That makes watching the series more enjoyable. Also, thanks for everything you do on your Channel for us. 💜
I will forever praise Namjoon as the best leader and I love, respect and admire him so much as an artist and as a human being. He’s an exceptional person.
"beautiful and dark fantasy" that sounds like a descriptions for a movie or something lmaoo your brain probably mixed the two upcoming albums dark&wild and hyyh (the most beautiful moment in life) 😭
from what I heard it's because the creator is a kpop/multi stan so when army asked her why she talks about mistreatment in the west but not from other kpop groups/fandoms she said her intention was not to say bts is better than other groups or talk negatively about the industry so a lot of army felt by cutting out that part of bts' story the narrative is skewered
basically when it was announced that bts documentary of the last 10 years will be released by Disney+ the rise of bangtan admins? issued a whole statement talking about how they feel that their hardwork has been a waste and their tone was kinda like bh/bts owe them smth when the editors started this whole thing just as an appreciation towards bangtan and they kinda lost their direction
the series places questionable emphasis on the struggles BTS faced. their struggles are portrayed as everyday idol struggles which couldn't be further from the truth. BTS were underdogs. non big three and they faced actual sabotage from the corrupt big companies for it. BTS didn't go through what big three or SM idols went through. compare the awards rookie BTS won and rookie exo won at the same time. the historic and subversive nature of BTS in that kpop culture is very badly shown or explained in this series which is why I personally have a problem with using it to introduce BTS to newbies. the creator of this series is a kpop fan not simply army. the later episodes get better than the first which are really bad but most viewers don't even stick around that long and the damage is already done then. take the damaging facts about kpop that are shown here - those are true and the reason why most army aren't kpop fans at all and in fact dislike kpop - but it isn't made clear enough that BTS diverging from these rules are the very reason they rose.
Rm is really amazing. The way he can describe his feelings is really beautiful 😫 And I really enjoy your reactions . You always bring out your own personality and are so genuine. What I also appreciate about you is you are very honest and always give off good vibes. And like namjoon said haters gonna hate and players gonna play sooo…yeah I wish you an amazing day Jonathan 😊
I can't believe it sometimes too, but IT Does keeping getting better and Better. Seeing their growth as artists and human beings is phenomenal. Take Care Tribe Leader, we have a long way to go. ( SLEEP Schedule fixing alarm!!! )
1:35 wow that makes me kinda sad. I feel like we never really go to say to bye rap monster. I need closure, wanna meet him again and tell him I love him and give him a hug. He deseves it
Hi dear. 68yo Army here. And although I'm an old white lady, hip hop is the music of my soul and I'm here solely to address the rapping you did at the beginning of your video. That was absolutely beautiful. I had to listen to it several times. It really touched me. You are a true artist, my friend.
I love watching both this and American Hustle Life. With this series you’re getting some context about thing other things going on in the background. Also getting exposed to clips that you might not stumble upon otherwise.
these old clips of bangtan is making me so much worse, ive been crying a lot this week from recent news gaddd still enjoyed a lot tho bcus im watching it with u tribe loui!! im seeing so many armys going thru bad times rn woah, im giving everyone a virtual hug, luv from southeast asia!!
13:00 Those clips are from Rookie King, 8 episodes they filmed with a broadcast company at the end of Summer 2013 ish. It's somehow a precursor for Run BTS (which started on August 1st 2015). In between there are 3 BokBulBok episodes filmed at the dance practice room, then AHL in 2014.
Also I just wanna say thanks in general for your vids and always good vibes. I just moved to Korea for the first time alone to teach, and having ur vids to watch and enjoy has definitely made this transition easier. :)) keep being genuine and just make vids that you enjoy
I absolutely wanna watch the extra content with you. I love this series, even when I had already been army for a few years, there was a bunch of content in these videos that I hadn't seen yet.
What??? I love both rise of bang tan and American hustle life!! I look forward to seeing more of your reactions to those series. Just do what you enjoy. Plus you have such a variety of content that you post, so I don’t see why any reasonable person would complain 🤷🏽♀️
I think AHL gets better after the first 3 episodes and it's an important part of the boys' history. they learned a lot from the experience and grew a lot from it. although it can be hard to watch for a lot of armys and some things definitely shouldn't have happened (e.g. the fake kidnapping), I think it's something everyone should watch if they want to learn more about the boys' history.
The kiss part with V and Jhope is from Rookie king. I believe it was on episode 4. Rookie king is really funny too mostly because of the punishments. Some classic bts clips are from it too like suga wearing a maid outfit and jimin breaking chopsticks with his butt. If you like, you can watch it too. I think it only have 8 episodes.
I really enjoy your reaction vids, and I love your words, your insight, and your thoughts shared. I dont doubt you are well on your way to being a great content creator. Also, you remind me so much of Namjoon🤗💜
BTS Is incredible and they are very dear to me. Their art is amazing, the fact that they have so much and it’s diverse yet distinct and undoubtedly them is mind blowing. My family didn’t understand why I supported them so much it why I would spend so much on going to their concerts and it’s this: they could play any part of their discography and I will know it and LOVE it. They could just perform their first few albums, I’d love it, they could only perform their latest, HECK if they wanted to just play their Japanese songs I would love it. I’m not even a Korean speaker but their music has such an impact on me. When I told my family this, they understood me a little better. Because I LOVELOVELOVE music, and listen to various generous and languages daily, but BTS is one of the few artists who have a discography that I 1. Love 2. Know, both as a group and individually. Long rant over, you’re in for a ride for every comeback 👀😂
dark and wild album is my favorite bts album out of all. literally. Also i REALLY enjoy watching AHLife alongside you cuz i cant watch anything on my own. My brain just refuses to, unless im moving on the treadmill and watching at the same time. I guess that having another person on the screen watching the same thing makes me focus on both the person and the content which probably activates the frontal lobe of my brain or whatever its called that isnt working normally if u have ADHD
Yes!! Who is here after watching Rainy days MV?
0:53 me. I didn't get a fking notification 😑 thank God i remembered to watch it
meee
MEEEE
Me
It’s so good!
Don't even ask, we want to rewatch everything with you 😊
With the lyrics, "In Seoul, to the SKY" it has a double meaning. 1st for the three prestigious "SKY" Universities in korea, as well as the afterlife. They really had deep messages early on❤
Oh! I knew about the university but didn’t make the connection about the afterlife
my faves are talented
Oh what I never made that connection.... wow. thats heartbreaking.
Before I knew about the S.K.Y Universities, that's how I interpreted the lyrics. Really heartbreaking but also real, and that's exactly what I love about them.
16:32 "slap him into C-Free" that was hilarious😂

100%
"Slap B free into C free" is an immaculate joke lmaooooo
RM just speaks in poetry. Army has written a book if not books dedicated to his lyrics or quotes
Namjoon’s “I’ll prove it” was so incredibly brave, determined, and bold to say at that time. That boy had no idea he and his brothers would become the most iconic group worldwide. But he had the trust and the vision, and determination. Honestly ICONIC.
And 9 year later released a compedium album called PROOF!

Rainy days just dropped it’s so good 😭😭
Yes, we wanna watch deleted scenes with you. I do anyway. Another series to check out from their early days: *"Rookie King"* (8 episodes) 😁💜
I've been commenting it on Run BTS vids and here and there. He's gonna be so hype watching the randomness of the missions and penalties xD
@loredell 🤣 For sure.
0:41 TRIBEEE I LOVED IT
I had a pretty rough day today... so happy to spend time w the tribe again to keep my spirits high
Hi Loui, I'm so glad you are familiar with these songs, right? That makes watching the series more enjoyable. Also, thanks for everything you do on your Channel for us. 💜

Thank you for uploading while I get ready to sleep, your videos are the best way to wind down and chill a little!
23:29 😂 your face as Exo pops up on the screen
Also I just wanna say thanks in general for your vids and always good vibes. I just moved to Korea for the first time alone to teach, and having ur vids to watch and enjoy has definitely made this transition easier. :)) keep being genuine and just make vids that you enjoy
12:47 yes apparently they are each others 1st kiss 😂😂😂
I absolutely wanna watch the extra content with you.
I love this series, even when I had already been army for a few years, there was a bunch of content in these videos that I hadn't seen yet.
We're on this journey together! Show it all (reactions I mean), thanks!!!! 💜 🔍⍤⃝🔎

43:21 yoooo i never thought of that.. lowkey if supreme boi made it, there wouldn't be any vocal members tbh, it would just be rappers
Yes we want to watch the deleted scenes!! AND RUN BTS PLS
What??? I love both rise of bang tan and American hustle life!! I look forward to seeing more of your reactions to those series. Just do what you enjoy. Plus you have such a variety of content that you post, so I don’t see why any reasonable person would complain 🤷🏽♀️
The vibes of your videos are just immaculate!
Good day loui❤
Trust me. We want to watch the Bonus and Deleted content with you! :)
I love every content of BTS!! And your reactions to them 💯 💜
0:40 noooo i like watching ahl and rob with you im having a new experience re watching it with you. just do what u like bruhhh
Yayyyy i can finally watch these videos
Yesss plz lets watch deleted scenes and bonus content together💜💜💜
