    I havent watched the full vid yet, but i specifically came in from the workshop to look at a disassembly vid, just to double check which screws to pull, and you skipped it entirely XD. LOL Murphys law

      Seriously, @@kikihobbyrepair, what kind of Imperial savages make Chinese people insert 1/16" hex machine screws into electronics in the 21st C? Reckon they were just proving that "American designed" point?

    Just a note, you need to buy some desoldering tools soon... At least a "tyúkbél" could help on cleaning the pads before you put back the new component. With your actual method, you could demage the far side pads, when you push the leg through a hole. Some times the solder residue could broke the via and also the pad can lift. However, the video was good! I wish you a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!

      Thank you for your tips and the nice words. I have all the desoldering tools but due to the awkard position of the board this time I just tried to heat both pads the same time and gently push the caps into the holes. But you are right cleaning the holes would be the way to go 🙂.
      Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to you too 🙂!

      Could be similar issues. I have just checked that there are multiple mechanical and electrical issues. I expect that they are quite similar. I hope my video will help you troubleshoot it 😉

    You need one of those cheap multi-components testers. They test everything also ESR.

    • @kikihobbyrepair
      @kikihobbyrepair 2 года назад

      Now that you tell, I have one of those 😀 Although I do not really trust them because such a low voltage capacitor has quite low ESR

    Crazy have been looking for a video on repair for my v 4 mackie xt 1st fader not calibrating. I had replaced the fader; it worked for a few weeks ... I never got around to work on it again going to check my channel strip again and caps how did u program your faders to dance

      @kikihobbyrepair 2 года назад +1

      If replacing the fader did not help then definitely you can take a look at the caps. Both the 100uF and the 10uF. They are cheap so it is worth a try.
