I was in school when india won the kargil war. it is true that the Indian soldiers respectfully buried the pakistani soldiers. I still remember the day india won the war. there was so much celebration all around. but today I realize there were also families that were forever plunged into grief and sorrow with the loss of the loved ones. truly it takes a big heart to send ur child to the army knowing fully well that death will follow them wherever they go. no sacrifice can come even close to this.

Most of PVC winners are posthumously presented the award, it's the highest valor award in India for soldiers and has one of the most stringent selection process in the world...not just parents if captain Batra was alive if he entered a room, prime minister, chief justice of supreme court, everyone holding highest position in gov office would have to stand to honour him not just once but even for daily meetings and only person whom PVC winners have to greet is the president...thats the rule but unfortunately most PVC winners get this award after their death :(....he is our national pride ...lots of respect to his parents 🙏

Sher Shah movie was a masterpiece in my opinion.
Two of my favourite scenes were:
    1) when they showed how indian army buried the enemey when pakistan refused to take the bodies of their fallen. The army buried them with respect , coverd in Pakistani flag and by islamic tradition, even though they were the enemy. This showcased how indian respects everyone, even their enemies.
    2) When the Pakistani flag was on the ground, no one was stepping on it. This subtle detail showcased respect the Indian army gives even to the enemies.

So many lies about our airforce men and Gunjan Saxena even had to publish a clarification that she wasn’t in fact subject to sexism within the institution. We are all very very emotional watching the movie and watching Capt. Vikram's supreme sacrifice. We all lost a great hero in this battle back in 1999. You must be really really proud. What he did at this age of 24 nobody could have done. Capt. Vikram will always be in our hearts very much alive and immortal and his bravado stories will be passed beyond generations.
