So having people feed into hate is really interesting to watch when talking about the north koreans. I as a taiwanese american, who lived 6 years in taiwan doing med school, have no real patriotism towards taiwan but do have a huge bias against the chinese. I am still able to enjoy and watch chinese weightlifters compete though, won't always root for them, but when they do cool stuff i'll still enjoy it. I'd never criticise them, but i see where some people are coming from, although some people are hating with no real political ties to the situation, very weird.
I think the main thing is the chinese and north koreans use debatable methods (training from childhood and screening methods) and used state sponsored doping
@@awkwrdly_socl the biggest thing for me is that Taiwanese athletes have to compete under the name of Chinese Taipei bc china will throw a fit and start a war otherwise. But European countries have also been using questionable methods in terms of doping. Weightlifting has always been sketchy on this front.
Jesus had such an unlucky meet, hitting an easy 275kg bench and an easy 380kg dl and screwing both bench and deadlift up on things that had nothing to do with his strength. Sonita's squat was so impressive.
37:23 This is called: Manna, dislocate to handstand, handspring to V-Sit. The individual moves or a simpler combination of them has been done before, but this specific combination, not sure.
Sonita's 300 Kg squat was just mind blowing. Geat to see Belgium my country get a BIG representation in the sport ! I hope they spoke more about it in the media.
Great, now that you’re here; do you think that when a bear shits in the wood and it’s a big pile of shit, and if it had a phone, would it be inclined to take a photo of it to send to his bear friends’ in amazement?
Great video, lads! I’ve already watched the whole thing on 40x speed
21:05 this guy just posted on r/weightlifting a 220kg C+J. It looked easy too 😅

You’re balanced, level headed and mature whereas most other people are the complete opposite and their voices seem to be louder

The 20 kg jump for his 2nd bench attempt was just a bad call. Way too excessive.
@@Shvabicu It was pretty big, yes. He nailed it on his third attempt but I don't know how he fucked up on the rack command.
lads! It's LIU huanhua, L-IU, L-i-e-w!!!
Based DPRK
29:35 if this was done off of a trampoline this would be called a “front half” or “brani”. To do that off of a bike as a bail it is fucking bananas
Republic of Sikastan t-shirt release announcement...🤬

Why is Agata Sitko missing? She ran circles around everyone at Sheffield.
Bummed we won’t see NK in the Olympics
Honestly, i think Liu Huanhua could get the olympic gold. He's snatched 185 and done like 230 in the C&J
The ASICS + North Korean singlet looks so clean
What is Thammy Nguyens standing/chances of getting to the Olympics?
People forget about Lesman in the 102s. He'll be competitive for gold.

F Yeah.

No Man Assad 252 at the Asians? One of the easiest cleans ever at that weight. Jerk was tough as hell but the speed on the clean was jaw dropping
If gurph had rahamats technique he could probably clean 280kg
Gymnasts doing pretty pikes? C'mah
How about a little coverage of Maude Charon
The V up from the gymnast is called Manna
Not sure if the transition to handstand is also a skill in gymnastics
Third is the worst 😊😊😢😂😊
I'm jelly I'm not in the top 3
