This series of Foretold we’re talking on the The Nature of the Promise of Jesus as Messiah and how He fulfilled those promises, and brought other promises during His life here on earth.
SERIES SUMMARY
Week 1 We spoke on how Jesus is “Emmanuel”, and how it effects our lives’ today that God is “with us”.
Week 2: We spoke on some of the names of Christ and how He is Wonderful Counselor, Prince of Peace, Everlasting Father, and Almighty God for us today.
There are 3 key things to focus on today and let sink into your spirit.
He is Faithful to keep His promises
His promises are for you!
To partake, we must pursue.
1) HE PROMISES TO ALWAYS LOVE YOU
If a man has a hundred sheep and one of them gets lost, what will he do? Won’t he leave the ninety nine others in the wilderness and go to search for the one that is lost until he finds it?
-Luke 15:4 NLT
God seeks us. He’s searching for you, just as He did Adam in the garden.
God loves each of us as if there were only one of us.
-St. Augustine
I am in them and you are in me. May they experience such perfect unity that the world will know that you sent me and that you love them as much as you love me.
-John 17:23 NLT
Jesus has a promise that speaks directly to your pain. (Psalm 34:18)
When you’re walking through a valley, needing to know His love deeply. He gives you His voice to hear
2) HE PROMISES WE WILL KNOW HIS VOICE
My sheep listen to my voice; I know them, and they follow me.
-John 10:27
We are his people and his sheep. His sheep know His voice
Then Eli realized that the LORD was calling the boy. So Eli told Samuel, “Go and lie down, and if he calls you, say, ‘Speak, LORD, for your servant is listening.’
-1 Samuel 3:8-9
Ask Him to speak to you.
Listen to what He says.
Do what He tells you to do.
Jesus replied, “Blessed rather are those who hear the word of God and obey it.

3) HE PROMISES TO GIVE HIS PEOPLE PEACE
Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid.
-John 14:27 NIV
Shalom- completeness, soundness (of body) ,fullness of peace(quiet, tranquility, contentment.
What consumes your mind controls your life?
Fix your thoughts on what is true, and honorable, and right, and pure, and lovely, and admirable. Think about things that are excellent and worthy of praise. …Then the God of peace will be with you.
-Philippians 4:8-9 NLT
True peace is found in the presence of God.
4) HE PROMISES TO GIVE US REST
Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy to bear, and the burden I give you is light.
-Matthew 11:28-30
Rest from WORKING for atonement.
5) HE PROMISES TO BE WITH YOU ALWAYS (MATTHEW 28:19-20)
Therefore, go and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit. 20 Teach these new disciples to obey all the commands I have given you. And be sure of this: I am with you always, even to the end of the age.
-Matthew 28:19-20
Regardless of circumstance He is there!
But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes upon you. And you will be my witnesses, telling people about me everywhere-in Jerusalem, throughout Judea, in Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.
-Acts 1:8
The Holy Spirit!

ALL of these promises and MANY MORE are ours as disciples, Because He is EMMANUEL!
If you aren’t experiencing these, there’s one Key component you may not be exercising in your faith .
INTIMACY.
True peace comes from God’s presence.
We learn His voice by spending time with Him.
He urges us to remain in Him.
Rest comes from time with Him.
If you find yourself missing these promises because of lack of intimacy. PURSUE JESUS. (James 4:8)
