I've had the G8 for almost a week amd I'm loving it. Battery is amazing. Its been 27 hours since I last charged it and I've got 30% left. 4.5 hours of screen time.

I bought the LG G8 thinq just last Monday but my grandson has the Galaxy note 9 so we compared them. IMO The LG G8 is a better choice, there's so many extra features on the Galaxy note 9 that I'd probably never use but then again its the individuals preference. The finger print on your s10 is quite quick. Mine is pretty good too so I think it is pretty secure. I must admit the s9 plus was easier to hold with less accidental touches. But I always have a case so that helps. The sound on the LG sounded good. But I'm more than happy with my s10 plus. Good video though. Did my fingerprint update the other day and it's even better than before. You can notice the difference. I thought mine was pretty good before. Very happy

I had the G6 and I'm listening to this video on my G7. Sound quality is real on LGs. I'm now considering buying the new OnePlus 7 but I have already tried to watch media content, and it doesn't sound better than the G7. Stronger cause it is stereo but not better.

I use the s10plus but if I didn't have it this g8 would have been my #1 choice. If you can purchase for 620.00, that's a stellar deal. The 32bit DAC is unmatched. Plus the display, cameras & battery very good. I think LG did a great job!

I switched to LGs after the s3's and never looked back. Started off with the Flex one, then a second Flex one, then the v20, then Fiesta 2 TracFone, and now the v40. Love the v40. Can't speak highly enough of it. It's blazing fast and moves at the speed of thought. I've never had any lagging issues. Love the IP68 rating, which allows me to record my rain videos outside in stereo. Thinking about getting a g6 because they're also IP68, as a second phone to record rain videos, and they're dirt cheap right now too. Got a great deal for my v40 on eBay with a bad esn for 200$.

been using the G6+ for more than 2 years now , amazing phone but i use it with nova launcher because i dont like the lg UX , am i the only one feeling it slows down the performance of lg phones compared to googles pixels software? i get crashes and like lags every now and then and it really scares me from going to another lg device

I chose the G8. I just returned an S9 for having issues. I have an S8. I have had a lot of problems with Samsung's customer service as well. Hoping LG will be better. I like the flat screen, great sound, customizability and size of the G8 more. S10 is overpriced. I like G8 camera more. The software optimization on the S9 and S10(tried in store) is really lacking for the cameras. It over brightens and gets blurry easily. LG has a lower advertising budget, but seems to put out good phones. Also seems like they get smeared by reviewers who may be biased or even paid off? Your comparison seemed fair. Thanks.
Question, how is the s10 fingerprint scanner not secure? If it can't read your fingerprint it's not opening. And other people have tried mine and can't open it. Just saying man, edit the video. Personally mine works just as fast as any other that is in display or not.
I just bought a Samsung Galaxy S10 Plus and a iPhone XS Max for me and my wife. hmmm never even thought of LG. And it's all personal choice.. I am sure there is always something for everyone.
I've always been a loyal Lg phone user, one time i had the iPhone and Galaxy and went right back to Lg. My wifes iPhone slowed on her and my Lg kept moving forward, Lg is best, period!
Make sure you have the right audio setup with it. On mine i boosted it all. Also, a good way for more sound with it is using side to side surround sound
Had flagships both Samsung and Apple, now with a LG G8 and never going back to either of those. Make the switch. You'll thank me now, later and always.
Am I in an alternate timeline or something? I could have sworn the Galaxy S10 didn't have a headphone jack, maybe I'm just thinking of the Pro...either way the audio dac is enough of a reason for me to go with the LG. I went from a G4 to a G6 and frankly I'm happy with what I've had, so let's go up another 2 to the G8 :D
@@Crazyreviewer123 so far i love it. i got a good case for it, the battery lasts a long time, and since i had an iphone for three years being back on android is totally a win. i don't mind the speaker either, it sounds decent enough for a phone, and bluetooth speakers are so cheap these days. the fingerprint reader works really well. not sure how it compares to the galaxy, but i recommend.
Lg g6 is the only phone I'm using for almost 2 years since 2005 when I jumped on smartphone hype consumer train with Nokia N70 and changed phones every few months.
I really think LG has great phones but the lack of updates kills it. I left Samsung for a G7 and in one year i can tell even Samsung is wayyy more consistant than LG with software updates. with my G7 i receive security updates every 2 or 3 month and no Android updates. Samsung push security updates every month. Samsung has the S10, S9 and S8 on Android 9. LG has no old phone on android 9. Only in Korea. And by the look they kept the same UI with almost no change on the Pie version. I love and hates them at the same time. I'm keeping my G7 for the quad dac but this is probably my last LG phone.

thats true it took 2 years for my V20, the first android phone with 7, even before google, to go from 7 to 8 and it will be fall when 9 is finally released and that will be its last, it has gotten security updates every few months thou. The slow updates mean 4 years support but 2 year for one update meaning you are always 1 year behind. LG did just post an update schedule somewhere, if they go to one ui over their skin it will be quicker.

S10 got a better camera then lg g8!! And front rear camera is better than lg g8 and back camera better on s10 then a lgg8 I got the s10 I love my s10
Speakers on s10/10+ Better with classical or rock/metal Music:) bright, clean, detailed and amazing control and speed. AKG do Job.

For S10? Yes, I keep it enabled. Like I said, they're close, the G8 just does a better job of directing audio in landscape

Oh yea I remember that, Lg had a great concept, I wish we had a modern phone like that finished better with removable modules, better yet removable memory and cpu :)
If Apple samsung or google did that they woud be singing their praises.
I mean the G* gives you secure face id that faster than apples, secure physical fingerprint scanner, thats faster, more secure and more accurate than samsungs and all in display readers in one phone and adds hand id and gestures for fun and innovation.
LG g8gives you a superb 6.1"OLED 3120X1440P with no fragile distorted curves that pick up false touches, has flush cameras, best in class audio, sd card slot, best manual video and audio modes, does not try to up-sale you more storage versions, has a 2 year warranty and looks good.
It is simply a better value and phone, than the iphone XS and samsung S10 in many, but not all ways.
and at &819 retail, $619 street it put those to shame.

The GYM, V30, G7, and even V40 got tons of love but they haven't shaken things up since then at all. They've only ever nailed the basics.
I chose the G8. I just returned an S9 for having issues. I have an S8. I have had a lot of problems with Samsung's customer service as well. Hoping LG will be better. I like the flat screen, great sound, customizability and size of the G8 more. S10 is overpriced. I like G8 camera more. The software optimization on the S9 and S10(tried in store) is really lacking for the cameras. It over brightens and gets blurry easily. LG has a lower advertising budget, but seems to put out good phones. Also seems like they get smeared by reviewers who may be biased or even paid off? Your comparison seemed fair. Thanks.

Question, how is the s10 fingerprint scanner not secure? If it can't read your fingerprint it's not opening. And other people have tried mine and can't open it. Just saying man, edit the video. Personally mine works just as fast as any other that is in display or not.
LG is less secure than Samsung fingerprint , old sensor take pictures of your fingerprint while Samsung it's a 3d model

I just bought a Samsung Galaxy S10 Plus and a iPhone XS Max for me and my wife. hmmm never even thought of LG. And it's all personal choice.. I am sure there is always something for everyone.
I've always been a loyal Lg phone user, one time i had the iPhone and Galaxy and went right back to Lg. My wifes iPhone slowed on her and my Lg kept moving forward, Lg is best, period!
I just bought the G8 and the headphone output is low and it's lower than my Note 9. Don't know why.
Make sure you have the right audio setup with it. On mine i boosted it all. Also, a good way for more sound with it is using side to side surround sound

Am I in an alternate timeline or something? I could have sworn the Galaxy S10 didn't have a headphone jack, maybe I'm just thinking of the Pro...either way the audio dac is enough of a reason for me to go with the LG. I went from a G4 to a G6 and frankly I'm happy with what I've had, so let's go up another 2 to the G8 :D

@@Crazyreviewer123 so far i love it. i got a good case for it, the battery lasts a long time, and since i had an iphone for three years being back on android is totally a win. i don't mind the speaker either, it sounds decent enough for a phone, and bluetooth speakers are so cheap these days. the fingerprint reader works really well. not sure how it compares to the galaxy, but i recommend.
Lg g6 is the only phone I'm using for almost 2 years since 2005 when I jumped on smartphone hype consumer train with Nokia N70 and changed phones every few months.

I really think LG has great phones but the lack of updates kills it. I left Samsung for a G7 and in one year i can tell even Samsung is wayyy more consistant than LG with software updates. with my G7 i receive security updates every 2 or 3 month and no Android updates. Samsung push security updates every month.
Samsung has the S10, S9 and S8 on Android 9. LG has no old phone on android 9. Only in Korea.
And by the look they kept the same UI with almost no change on the Pie version.
I love and hates them at the same time.
I'm keeping my G7 for the quad dac but this is probably my last LG phone.
I choose LG G8 Smartphone future with hand id ( can use foot(sole) else hand), face id 3d, finger, recognize voice and knock code. Unlock sreen total have 5 ways. Sound on display and boombox speaker volumn ultra big. Camera video portrait, quad DAC. G8 very special for me😊

thats true it took 2 years for my V20, the first android phone with 7, even before google, to go from 7 to 8 and it will be fall when 9 is finally released and that will be its last, it has gotten security updates every few months thou.
The slow updates mean 4 years support but 2 year for one update meaning you are always 1 year behind.
LG did just post an update schedule somewhere, if they go to one ui over their skin it will be quicker.
@@Tigerex966 I really don't believe them anymore. They said Pie was coming to the G7 in Q1 we are already in Q2 and no sign of it coming. They had it in Korea for more than 3 month already. This is unacceptable !
The thing is i really like the phone but there is no life in LG phone world. No communication, no centralize place to find Roms like Samsung with SAMMOBILE.
The day Samsung puts a quad dac in their phones i'm gone.
