I've been nice about delays in the past, employees don't control weather, delays or mechanical issues that do happen. I've been given free upgrades and cash for, as one lady put it, " being the nicest person i've spoken too about the delay in over an hour". That one got me a free first class upgrade for my whole return flight home!

A close friend of mine in college had a summer internship at that cheesy tabloid news show that O'Reilly hosted before he went to Fox News. He said O'Reilly was a terror, throwing tantrums pretty much every day. Everybody who worked on the show, no matter their seniority level, detested him and avoided contact with him at all costs. (After moving to Fox, O'Reilly falsely claimed that garbage show won a Peabody award until Al Franken busted him.)

Working retail, I came to realize that people who are big, who tower over others, get used to intimidating others. It starts on the playground, and unless the family does something, it goes on into adult life. Smaller people defer to them while hardly understanding why they are doing it. However, if you stand your ground, the bully usually backs down.
It’s the opposite in my experience. The little ones seem to be the most aggressive.

Delays in flights is very common today. I once was stuck in Denver Colorado for almost 6 hrs. A Frontier flight out of Salt Lake City Utah to Ohare on a faulty plane. I was glad we made it to Denver alive regardless of the wait to repair the plane or to get another. I was cool the whole time and slept pretty much all 6 hours at the gate. Good ole Oreally!

I’m thinking old Billy boy had his mask lowered to show his face to non-verbally communicate “don’t you know who I am?!” & try to give credibility to his threats. Unlike random Karens, BO..Reilly has a sizable following & a platform for his nonsense.
If I were the employee I would tell Bill to wait a minute while I go get someone to help. Then I'd quit the job, switch back into my street clothes, leave & get in line behind Bill. Then I'd small talk with Bill a bit before I'd start bitching about how long the service is taking.
Lol that would be worth paying for.
