In the majority of LGBTQ+ shows, there is always gay stereotypes. The "biphobic" remark is a personal preference. It is like of someone prefers skinny over curvy women or black hair over blond. Personal preference.
Bisexual and pansexual people are an equal part of the community just as homosexuals are. It’s a valid orientation as any sexual orientation is. It’s slightly odd that some people have distain for bisexuals. Some of that distain especially coming from homosexuals. I’m sure his comment regarding bisexuality was glib and meant no harm.
It wasn't meant to be biphobic it's just that sometimes when people are in a gay relationship one of them is scared that the other is bi because they are scared that they'll lose them to someone else. Like some people lean more towards girls or lean more towards guys. I really hope you understand this 😅
