Other day I was reading umrao jaan adaa and I felt like sumbal/ Allah rakhi's story is basically the modern era version of umrao jaan adaa. Great writing of amna mufti and great direction of kashif nisar and hats off to all the actors in this drama.
Finally some relief in this drama when the child rights activist Tariq saved jamshed. Otherwise this drama was too dark... But aptly depicting social evils.

I am saying that in light of Amna mufti’s interview published in a daily paper recently. The gruesome realities depicted in DNTN are actual, and society needs to understand that. There is no Knight in shining armor for them in real life.
