The whole song is great, but the build starting at 2:00 all the way to that epic scream at 2:11 is just awesome. Great tune, I just don't get why it gets no love on RUclips.
It gets no love because people care way more about the “soft slow songs” with a “DeEp MeAnInG” over hard hitting upbeat epicness with amazing instrumentation. That’s my theory at least. I definitely think this song deserves WAY more love and views.
Reminds me of the unfinished last book of the late Tolkien. The hero goes to Gondolin to plead with the leaders to turn the people back to the gods. From LOTR we know the city was plunged into the sea. Apparently, they didn't let go and instead they became the Ash instead of suffering it.
I’ve gotta say: Demon Hunter was my jam in my teens. My early teen years were when I fell in love with my Lord and knew I would never be the same again. I would listen to bands like Skillet and Red and then, eventually, I found Demon Hunter. I blasted you guys in my ears. on. repeat. You guys became kind of my “battle soundtrack” as it were. I wanna say I listened to ‘Triptych’ nearly everyday for a solid couple of years. As I got older, my musical tastes began to shift and so I stopped listening for a while. Around ten years later, I decided to visit the old neighborhood… I am loving your new sound… like a LOT. This girl, right here, is back! Thank you for being such a positive influence during my younger years and for the work you guys continue to do. Imma gonna stick around and see what you guys do next :)
