Happened yesterday. A player takes a direct free kick from outside the penalty area. The ball hits the woodwork and rebounds directly to the same player without anybody else touching it, he then from outside the area hits the ball into the top of the net. It does not touch anybody until it enters the net. Should a goal be awarded. Never seen it before in my 60 years of watching football. A goal was awarded by the referee. Should it have stood? Is it classed as a second touch?
