Jimin is on another level, he is like the full package of talent. This man can do everything whether in dance( all kinds) or vocals or martial arts(taekwondo black belt, Chinese martial art, kendo, etc). He crowned as the king of kpop, and dance king for years.❤ ❤
JIMIN has now been awarded the prestigious titles for 4 yrs in a row, for both KING OF KPOP, as well as also winning BEST TOP #1 DANCER IN KPOP, also 4 yrs in a row!! Jimin is also referred to as "Rookie's Bible" because all rookie idols, try to emulate & study every move he makes, trying to learn from him!
JIMIN, has been called 'Stage Commander', known for his amazing, so mesmerizing stage presence. Each dance move is executed flawlessly, his extensions all the way to the fingertips, his lines so clean, his fluidity, his poise & elegance, his ever so graceful moves, but yet, sharp, quick & deliberate when required! There are two main dancers - acknowledged as the “best” dancers in BTS (of course, by normal standards, they are all great), and that is Hobi and Jimin. They both have very different styles, and it’s really a matter of choice or opinion, who is better…🤷♂️🥰 There are many instances where they dance together, but they don’t compete with each other. Actually the three J’s are an iconic dance sub unit - JHope (Hobi), Jimin, and Jungkook. There is an amazing live dance performance of Hobi and Jimin, Boy Meets Evil, that leads into a BST performance, and there are many for the three J’s, most recently to Megan Thee Stallions rap from Butter.

Without a doubt Jimin is special. Find his OST, "With You!" He duets with a friend. It's his best vocal work to date. It's pure magic! You will fall in love with him all over again. FYI - he is a professionally trained contemporary dancer. He went to a high school of the arts. His dance teacher told him about the idol auditions. He loved to sing too so he went for it and they chose him. He
is famous for his dance solos that he does in award shows. You'll find and see them eventually.

Jimin is very versatile. He can dance any style not just contemporary. People seem to forget that he studied hip hop way before he studied contemporary. That man can dance his ass off! 🤯 He was voted Best Male Kpop Dancer for 4 years in a row by KINGSCHOICE (The biggest Kpop voting site). He's one of the Main Dancers for a reason. 💯 When he's on stage, he's so mesmerizing to watch and his Duality is absolutely insane! I've never seen anyone go from cute to seductive in a matter of seconds! Although I love all the members, Jimin has always been my favorite. He's been my bias ever since day one. 💜
Every member has their own talents and stand outs, for jimin it’s his very unique ‘stand out’ voice & unpredictability for music/genre (you never know what he’s gonna make or what kind of song he’s gonna do, people are looking forward to his album cause we don’t know what we’re going to get with jimin cause all his songs are so different from eachother that there’s no pattern) , his stage presence/aura + his dance style is affected by different styles of dance that he’s learned Aka popping/hip hop, contemporary, modern, ballet, and bringing his martial arts skills to performances which has given him probably the most diverse dance range.

First time watching you! I'm 70 years old and a testament that BTS crosses all boundaries! (And please avoid saying Eeeeww). You are yes, biased but rightfully so. Jimin is a classically trained dancer. But they all dance, my fav.is JHope. As you get to know them you will learn they are such humble men. Love watching you get hooked!
Here's info that some still aren't aware of:
❤️JIMIN, born October 13, 1995, at age 11, started studying, performing, & competing (winning every competition), in hip hop, popping (excelled), & street dancing, while attending the renowned Just Dance Academy in Busan where he's from! He was so good that an instructor even had the high tuition fee waived at one point! This was while also attending middle school, where he loved sports, being quite athletic, joined the football team, excellent at track, great at basketball, & billiards! Jimin also, all throughout his schooling, was known as a top scholar, achieving perfect scores, especially in math & science which just always came easy to him! Jimin was even class president for 9 yrs in a row! Jimin, all throughout his schooling, was also quite good in art class, as well as calligraphy.
Jimin, then also took up contemporary dance. The media, after seeing a performance of Jimin's performing at a huge Busan Festival Event, called Jimin "The rising star of Busan"!! JIMIN also studied ballet & traditional Korean dance while attending Busan High School of the Arts. Jimin still went to Just Dance Academy to take hip hop classes whenever he could because his first love has always been hip hop, even though he was now majoring in contemporary! JIMIN even had an offer to dance overseas, but declined because he also wanted to become a singer since the 2nd grade, to the dismay of one of his dance instructors who said "The world of dance was going to lose a great artist"!!
So Jimin then went and auditioned for BigHit Entertainment, (company BTS is signed with), being the very last member to join, being a trainee for only a few months (which is unheard of for most Kpop idols), as opposed to the 2-3 yrs of being a trainee the other members had! But Jimin was so good that he was assigned the official title of one of the two Main Dancers, as well as Lead Vocalist. Jimin was even assigned most of the high notes since the very beginning, because even without all that training in the beginning, he was that good, a natural born singer who, just like his dancing makes you feel every emotion and feeling he's trying to convey!
JIMIN, also, for 8 yrs, since a quite young boy, trained in various forms (4), of martial arts: Taekwondo (Blackbelt), Hapkido, Kumdo (Korean form of Kendo), & Chinese martial arts. Yes, you’re 100% right, Jimin is special. Iv’e always said it and I will say it again, he has what you call the “it factor”. You either have it or you don’t and it’s not something that you can learn. Very few have it, but I have never seen anyone have it like he does. And his contemporary dance training contributes greatly to it, but he is equally good at popping/locking, hip pop etc. but it is his exquisite form and lines, from his finger tips to the tip of his toes that sets him apart from the rest. He is truly a work of art in motion. Being a dancer myself I can’t even begin to describe how special and rare his talent is. He is just mesmerizing and flawless, and your eyes naturally go to him. You asked who is the best dancer among BTS and I think it’s clear to see how much he stands out and he has the most dance training and dance background like I said. But of course they are all amazing dancers in their own right through years of hard work and practice. JHope is the best dancer in hip hop and is incredible as well, also their lead dancer. But Jimin is truly in a class of his own❤

As a lot of folks have said in the comments, the BTS Dance Line - jhope, Jimin, JK and V - are a super talented bunch with their own individual strengths. The fandom sometimes compares them to ATLA bending schools, for instance, in how their movements differ. Jimin and Jhope both have formal training as well as street experience; JK and V mostly have the training they received as idols. They don't battle, per se, but they do polish performances with each other and for the other members. (Not to say the other three can't dance - Suga used to b-boy, and he puts on a damn good show with PSY - but they have to work a lot harder for it.) Jhope and Jimin are certainly the most involved of the members in the dance aspect of things; they both monitor and teach choreo.
If you're curious about the choreography for Serendipity, Steezy Studios did a video with the choreographer, Brian Puspos. He's also got a Jimin bias and frankly, it's adorable :) Jimin's an incredible all-rounder, but came into the company mainly on his dancing skills; thankfully they've leaned into his vocal skills, because his vocal quality is just incredible. You keep calling him "special," and that's for damn sure; his vocal colors are so unique, but also blend super well with the other three vocalists. These guys have been performing with each other for about a decade now and it really shows.
For Jimtober, LIE is another solo song of his that's both incredible and really cool musically - musicians really groove on how that song plays with its keys. I'm always gonna recommend "House of Cards" - jazzy vocal line song with killer harmonies and an incredible live - as well as "Dimple" for more R&B flavor and some lower range Jimin. For full group stuff with a Jimin bias, the mindfuck of "Blood, Sweat and Tears" is waiting, as well as the eulogic elegance of "Black Swan."
Also, "Mic Drop," just because everyone needs to experience "Mic Drop."
Personally, it's super enjoyable to watch you vibe and viscerally react to their music, so no worries on the pausing, the singing, the enjoying yourself. It's awesome to see you be moved by it! Thank you for your videos, and have an excellent week!

J Hope and Jimin are both the main dancers in BTS. In my opinion, they are the best dancers in all the Kpop industry . Jungkook, the lead dancer, is pretty good too, and very impressive, since he have no background in dancing, before he became a trainee under Big Hit (of corse, he only have 13 years old ! ) . This three are named "the 3J" and have some performances as subunit that you should check. They are all good dancers : Jk is powerful (really charismatic), Jimin is elegant (and versatile), JHope is swag (so fluid) . I really admire J Hope's skills. As a street dancer, he is the best in popping/locking/isolation. His moves are sharp, very precise, he embodies the rythm. He is also the faster to learn a choregraphy, he see everything, and play the rôle of a dance leader . But my favorite dancer is Jimin, he is the best when it comes to contemporary and modern dance. His dance moves are all in fluidity, sensuality and curve, he is the best to express feelings and emotions. He win some titles of "best Kpop male dancer" or "King of pop" , have the nickname of "rookie bible" because he is the role model of a lot of young Kpop group, his choregraphies (in Lie et Serendipity) are even used to rank the dancers at the end of there trainee period. He is also known outside the Kpop world for his dance skills. In conclusion, J Hope always amazed me when he dance, JK attracted me, but Jimin mesmerized me, he is beauty and poetry in motion. And all the group is pretty good at dancing, in synch as if they were just one mind... We, Army, are such a lucky fandom to have 7 crazy talented and loveable young men in one group !

I see people has started downplaying Jimin in the comments. Don't believe them. Everyone in BTS is good but Jimin is on a league of his own and I'm saying this as an OT7 with a 3J (Jimin, Jungkook, Jhope) bias. It's just that people forget they are still individuals even if they're part of a group. Don't take my word for it tho. You should watch more of their content, especially performances. You'll understand.
So, I'll give you some facts instead: He's the only one who has received 3 national awards, one of those is a cultural award in dance, the other 2, he received with the rest of the members. He's the last one to join BTS and, with the shortest training period out of everyone, he snatched main dancer and lead singer roles.
As far as dancers, JHope is probably the best in hip hop type performance. Jimin's contemporary training and martial arts background bring a different type of dance performance that is truly mesmerizing.

Regarding experience and study, the two that come up are Hobi and Jimin in terms of "best". The one with the most background in more than one genre is Jimin. However, where one may fall short in a genre the other picks it up. They are all collectively exceptional in dance. They do not outright battle each other. And if you were to ask the two main dancers, Hobi would say the best dancer in his eyes is Jimin, and Jimin would say the best-rounded dancer in his eyes is Hobi. They support and shower each other with compliments and raise one another's self-esteem in the best way. In the fandom, some would say Hobi for his background in competition and Hip Hop, as people somehow seem to not give much credit to Contemporary dance for some reason, and tend to forget that Jimin also had competitions in Hip Hop dance. In BTS Hobi is the dance leader, the captain that helps runs the show. Learns the choreography in minutes and relays it to the rest. Jimin is the co-captain. They are a team, a brotherhood. Egos are not a thing that gets in the way between these members. Everyone knows their strengths and weakness. They help one another. And that is why they've lasted so long in this cold industry. No shame in having a bias! Jimin is amazing in so many ways. (He's also one of my two biases, along with Jungkook. The other five bias wreck me constantly.) Might I suggest his other solos with videos, "Lie" and "Filter"?
btw we call out favorite members our "Bias" so Jimin is your Bias. And a Bias Wrecker is a member who tries to steal your Bias spot with their talents or good looks. And 0T7 is when you like all 7 equally. For Example: V is my Bias and Jimin is my Bias Wrecker (so I understand you lol). Also, Jimin Stan's have their own saying once you JimIN you can't JimOut. They don't compete/ compare between them, all of them acknowledge each other talents and help with each other weaknesses. There is no ego between the members. They actually cheer one another in which ever individual projects they participate on (like with Jimin solo dancing,solo songs and OST, or Jung-kook's Charlie Puth collaborations , with Namjoon, Yoon-gi and Ho-seok solo projects, Tae-hyung and Jin OST projects and more they actually have lots ofdifferent solo things). So no we don't compare them, or choose who is better (at least the OT7 we don't, of course like in all societies there's bad apples who like one member and complain/ compare about the others or like to curse people who don't think like them 🤷♀️ , but mostly we are not like that).

Jimin is my bias not just because he's so beautiful/sexy/cute/unique to look at, with the most unique voice in the world, and an amazing Michael Jackson-esque performer you can't take your eyes off of, but because RM said he's so selfless and always putting others before himself, they all love honor and appreciate their fans so much but Jimin appreciates them even more, he's so caring and they all love animals but Jimin loves them even more and animals love him so much back :)

This choreography is one of the most covered choreographies of rookie idols, lol. This and another performance of Jimin's solo song, Lie. Lie has more dance cover tho, because it's a really more challenging choreography. It's been 6 years since its release and Lie is still being covered by other kpop idols and artists.
6:04 YES! Not only is he very good technically but he dances with so much emotion that he outdances even professional dancers that do nothing but dance.
It's just something ethereal about Jimin's whole being, not only his angel voice, moves and sweet personality, he just radiates something ethereal, a unique magnetism and warmth.

Oh Jimin puts a spell on everyone, always. His movements, his voice........ The 3 "J´s" J Hope, Jimin and Jungkook and V, for me are extraordinary dancers. J Hope is a natural born talented dancer (who has rythm and flow in his veins), Jimin is an amazing more classical trained, super hard worker who dances and melts your heart and mind. He takes the stage. And JK and V are really good dancers with their unique style each.

I’m sure others already explained. Jhope and Jimin are the best dancers and have a background in dancing before BTS. Jhope is a hip hop dancer and Jimin studied contemporary dance. Jungkook is also good and the three of them are known as 3J when they sometimes release choreography of the three of them dancing.
You should watch 3J (Jhope, Jimin, and Jungkook) do a special dance for Butter. It's stunning. Jhope is the dance leader and specializes in street dancing but they all bring something different. Jimin is the only one trained in ballet and modern dancing so he resonates with me more with his movements. Thanks for a great reaction!!!

j-hope and jimin are the 2 main dancers of bts. since j-hope used to be a street dancer and bts choreographies have a lot of hiphop influences, i would say that j-hope is the member who shines the most in most bts choreographies. jimin studied many different genres of dance (ballet, contemprary, hiphop...) as well as martial arts which make him the most versatile dancer of bts and one of the most versatile dancers of the whole kpop industry.
since we're on this topic i would like to introduce you to the best dancer of kpop : taemin.
he is in a group called SHINee (their debut song 'replay' is an old school r&b bop which i think you're gonna love) and he also have a very successful solo career with a skipless discography (advice, want, criminal and move are just a few of my favorite songs).

In each group in KPop, there's Main dancers and Lead dancer positions. J-Hope and Jimin are listed as the two main dancers, while Jungkook is a lead dancer. Main is higher than lead (Kpop position titles are confusing sometimes, I know).
*Note that V wasn't in the original dance line, he only was added as part of it after he released his song Singularity which further cemented the improvement of his dance skills enough to be a part of the line. Though as the comments say below, V is not a lead dancer, just a dancer.

You have no clue how much this dong is loved...example, back when they were doing this (Love Yourself) tour. When they got to the Rose Bowl, one of the ppl who actually had to "run" was Shawn Stockton of Boys II Men and he made it just in time for him and his daughter to see this preformance. He was so in love that he went to his studio that night after the concert, learned the whole song in Korean and than posted it on IG...more than likely its still there. Check it out...and this was back in 2018...
