A G Netflix is going to be losing over 80% of their watched film in the next few years because they’re owned by other studios. So Netflix is gonna have to lower their price if so
Disney plus is fairly new, but I do believe they have the advantage in the long run. Netflix problem is that most movie and TV studios will be pulling they're content from Netflix as they start their own streaming services. And a survey stated that only 20% of actual streamed media on Netflix is their original content. That means the other 80% that's watched on a daily basis belongs to other companies. And where I believe Disney has a big advantage is they not only got Disney plus but they also got Hulu and ESPN Plus. So for convenience purposes, you can purchase all three in a bundle from one company. Which I'm sure will come with the discount.
At a time of its initial release date, it will only be available in the United States, Canada and the Netherlands. But it will be available pretty much worldwide by the end of 2020. That's for Disney Plus, it'll take more time for Hulu to make it overseas.
They are putting the r rated content and more of the non- family friendly stuff on Hulu but this is just speculation meaning this has not been conformed
It’s kind of dumb though because they have a kids section for a reason and should have movies like Deadpool and Logan in an adult section because I don’t want to pay more for Hulu when it should be on Disney plus

I was skeptical about Disney+ at first, but my girl got it and I started bumming off her account and I LOVE it. I definitely thing it's worth getting both. Hulu and Netflix and Amazon are rivals that don't really offer a real difference in the service, but I think the way Disney is doing it is brilliant because the second you look at the library, you'll realize it's quite a bit different than the other services out there. This is good. It means they can both succeed without having to hinder each other that much. They're different services with very different experiences.
How is Disney and Netflix competing bad for us, the consumer? They're going to be competing to out-shine eachother which means just more and more for us. In my opinion, this can only be a positive thing for us... example: As more of us start cancelling Netflix to go with Disney+, Netflix is either going to die a horrible death, or they're going to have to give us more or be forced to drop their prices... I mean, the fact that Disney+ is offering up to 4 screens at the same time plus 4K for only 7 bucks while Netflix charges nearly 16 bucks for the same level means Netflix is going to have to offer more or reduce their prices to something more competitive for the same level.
American crime story and American Horror story are Disney shows so that won’t be available in Netflix anymore. Also Hulu and Disney+ are going to be bundled so you will be able to get r rated content if you want.
Netflix will only lower prices because of Disney +, which is good cause netflix has so much more mature content and better original shows like, narcos, ozarks, mindhunter, lucifer, serial killer docs, and so much more plus they have new breaking bad movie and more content for adults not just children. The only disney property i want to watch is star wars series
Vithushan Thayalan, most likely there will be a transition of SEVERAL YEARS where many of those Hulu shows will be on Netflix overseas until Disney can position Hulu properly...
Open Question: I live in a different (US) state than my family. Will they be able to use my Disney+ account or will there be some sort of location tracker to ensure everyone is under one roof? Note: We have no problems sharing Netflix across county. Thank you 🙏🏼
you can create up to 7 profiles per Disney+ subscription. You can download movies on the app, then you can watch the downloaded movies on the go or wherever you are!
My problem with Netflix is that it’s losing movies and good tv shows. However as I understand what’s in Disney+ stays. It isn’t pleasant being the middle of a 6 seasons series and seeing that’s it’s going away in a few weeks.
In regards to #1, two upcoming Disney+ originals, Diary of a Female President and Life & Deaf, are being made by CBS TV, and they also have the streaming rights to Bluey, an acquired show from Australia. So Non-Disney stuff will be allowed on Disney+ to some extent.
Jade Nguyen no the show ended. It’s not like it was canceled with no closure season 3 was clearly an ending for the show why drag it out just let it end.
A few things to point out. Netflix will be declining in content very soon once Warner Bros.’ HBO Max and Universal’s Peacock launch next year and once Paramount merges into CBS All Access. The Office is Netflix’s number 1 watched show, and will be leaving the service. Yes, Disney being a closed service is a bit of a downside, but that is how streaming services will work in the future. Netflix will eventually only be made up of its original content, and unfortunately they don’t have too many hits on their hands. I also think that Disney stretching out the timeline in which they add shows has more to do with streaming rights than it does about marketing strategies. Disney would probably prefer to add as many shows on launch as they possibly can, but may have other deals in place to where they just have to wait until it expires.
Yeah. I had a really hard time finding shows I like on Netflix. I just found one... The OA and then they cancelled it in the middle of the story line! Disney+ has so many shows and movies I want to see...
Disney already canceled their Disney villain TV series so I don’t trust Disney to handle dark and gritty stuff Even if they are bringing in Moon Knight!
I mean they own most of hulu so they basically control everything... That's why they are putting the R-rated ox content on there and making the hulu + disney + espn bundle
actually no, you will not see Indiana jones on Disney+ the studio who makes Indiana Jones still Has all the Lucasfilm rights to it. that would be paramount pictures. And George Lucas still owns Indiana Jones. What was bought by Disney was Lucasfilm Star wars. That's why Indiana Jones will not appear on Disney + you may want to Pay for the Paramount pictures streaming service for Indiana Jones. and even the TV show Young Indiana Jones.
It’s not that it’s better but as a mom of 3 and i think that a lot of parents will agree, it’s a no brainer if you have kids cause they can log on and have endless safe content to watch and then you don’t have to watch “the cat in the hat” 50 times a day. Lol. Going with Disney, plus they also have Hulu and espn. SOLD. plus I have Netflix which I’ll be keeping it’s worth it.
Disney+ sounds better than netflix without its mature content. Netflix has gone crazy with its mature content and I'm sick of it. Hulu and Amazon aren't much better.
spididerman, nor Fox nor Disney produce either show (both happened to be broadcasted by Fox): MWC is a Sony Pictures TV production, House MD is a Comcast (Universal TV) show. The latter could go in Peacock or let them keep it elsewhere.
Ok but why did this review pretty mich negate the fact that Disney owns Hulu which outside of Netflix original content has everything that was just said Disney plus wouldn’t. Just set yourself up with a Disney and Hulu account and your pretty much gold🤷🏻♂️🤷🏻♂️
If anyone has the fire stick get an app called beetv. U have to wait until there's a good copy for people to get them for u to watch for free. But it only takes like a month or so after it's out in theaters.
I was about to get it yestarday so I'd have it today, but then I found out it will not have the Spiderman films, the new lion king, and the new Toy Story. All of those are the only reason I wanted it. So unless they update their platform with new stuff faster I will not be going there. Seems to me like they hit heavy with a lot of things, but nothing new. I think it would have been very smart to put only 1 new movie in to get people hooked into the service. I don't mean new to platform, but new to dvd.
@TRV YEET , I am saying Disney + is not worth the money. Disney+ didn't add anything that was a new hit this year. They added year+ stuff and new content. I want to see the new movies not this stuff.
I’m Aussie and here in Australia, Friends (my favourite tv show of all time) is not available on Netflix Australia, so I had to get another streaming service called Stan (AVAILABLE IN AUSTRALIA ONLY YE BOI) just to watch Friends. Sure, it has other great stuff, but I only mainly watch Friends on it. For some reason I thought I was in a rush to see every single episode as fast as I could, so in 9 weeks, I saw EVERY SINGLE EPISODE from the season 1 pilot to the season 10 finale.
Your biggest leave out and a huge game changer is Hulu. Add Disney plus with Hulu and at a Netflix price, open to all ratings and outside content, BIG game changer within the conversation of comparisons
What if you already have a Hulu student subscription (free with Spotify only being $4.99 each month) and get Disney+, will there be an option to connect accounts without having to switch to a bundle?
It's unfortunate it may only be American content only, that's what separates it from Netflix. Even if Disney becomes Global I don't think it will be as diverse as Netflix by getting localized content. Only time will tell but Netflix is still the Lord of streaming for now, Disney will be second as for Apple they don't stand a chance. Netflix won't fall because of Disney, not all of us are into superhero movies we like factual and also different new content not old renewed content.

We already got Disney+ here in the Netherlands. Testing period for 2 months without charge. Not that much on it but enough for now
I don't think people realize that they aren't forced to have both at the same time. If you want to watch something on Disney+, get it and watch what you want, and then cancel whenever, and do the same with Netflix.
I really don't think it's that serious.. I'm just gonna have both. Why choose?
In my house we have Hulu , Netflix and now Disney plus and I forgot I have Amazon prime so I'm cover lol as a family we stream I one network this year they picked cbs all access...next year we vote again it might be nbc we are so done with cable .....I find even with all the streaming in my house I'm still saving money verses paying for cable...
Djanyce-Kyara Nosistel IKR like it's not that complicated
@Jack dylan Smith exactly thank you
lmao yeh we have netflix and amazon prime, just gonna try and get disney plus and we will be set
I’m definitely still getting Disney+ as a hardcore marvel fan AND Disney fan. I enjoy watching the movies and can’t wait for the new marvel series.
Man it will be sad to see the downfall of netflix. Disney is in a league of their own. No one can compete with them
It wont happen. Disney has only been really popular because of marvel and star wars and Pixar films... look at the marvel shows they dont come close to HBO or some original programming from netflix and amazon.
Disney dominated in film... but it will have a harder time in the series department.. which is where everything is going
@@FtdFacts I honestly prefer Netflix.
The bundle will start at the same monthly price of Netflix
YOU DO RELIZE THAT DOESN'T HELP PEOPLE AND OTHER COUNTRIES
At a time of its initial release date, it will only be available in the United States, Canada and the Netherlands. But it will be available pretty much worldwide by the end of 2020. That's for Disney Plus, it'll take more time for Hulu to make it overseas.
They are putting the r rated content and more of the non- family friendly stuff on Hulu but this is just speculation meaning this has not been conformed
Yes it has by Disney many times.
It’s kind of dumb though because they have a kids section for a reason and should have movies like Deadpool and Logan in an adult section because I don’t want to pay more for Hulu when it should be on Disney plus
@@ojm_6429 Personally I am very happy about a streaming service where I don't have to watch out for brutal violence and sick intrigues... cause I'm not into that.
Now let's be honest most people r gonna have netflix, hulu, and disney plus so they dont have to decide
Theater Angel But what about HBO Max (Warner Bros.), Peacock (Universal), and CBS All Access (Paramount). Netflix’s remaining content will split, and then you’ll have to watch your favorites elsewhere.
Well Hulu is Disney so only two services. But let's be real there are more comming...
What kind of Netflix is he watching that has victorious and Sam and Cat???
right i was shook when i saw them on the screen
Jail broken Netflix
Netflix has both of them in Germany
we have both in brazil but we dont have family guy anymore
It should be the same shows in same places. I heard once Netflix had Best Friends Whenever which is a Disney show, and it was never there.
A lot of the rights for Marvel films are still with Netflix or other streaming platforms. They have to wait until those rights run out.
You do realize all the studios are pulling their stuff off Netflix too. Other than sony, liongate, and other small studios.
Jaret Albaugh Isn’t Disney on the verge of buying Sony entertainment? That would be interesting
@@rusty8311 FCC would not allow and that would be a waste of money.
I think Netflix is like sony ps4 and Disney + will be like Nintendo Switch, but a bit stronger. Win win situation for both.
freedom&conscience no wtf Xbox Nintendo switch is dog
Correction the switch and the xbox are better then the ps4
No there not take out Xbox you just can’t face the facts that ps4 is better the only reason you say that is because you have a Xbox and never tried ps4 I had both and Xbox sucks.Xbox is so cheap compared to ps4
@@thesoccerfanatic5766 controllers sucks and everything else aside from there exclusives. I respect and like the exclusives of ps4
Netflix sucks for having too much mature content.
Hmm I would say harsh violence and sick intrigues is for immature audiences :)
Number 2 is wrong. The main reason is deals with others. Some agreements have to end before certain movies are available on disney+
My favorite tv show has to be Stranger Things. I just ❤️ the 80s feel. The cast for the show is great. One of the best shows of this decade.
I prefer real 80s stuff 😜 I am dying for the 80s and early 90s TV shows that are on DIsney+...
Disney plus have tv-14 but no rated r
DawsenScript yay
DawsenScript there’s Hulu and epsn and for 13.99 all rated r on Hulu
@@CrescentPaws5000 exactly. I may never use Netflix again.oof
Is hulu coming to other countries since the other stuff is on hulu ?
Vithushan Thayalan, most likely there will be a transition of SEVERAL YEARS where many of those Hulu shows will be on Netflix overseas until Disney can position Hulu properly...
What about disneys r rated movies
Open Question: I live in a different (US) state than my family. Will they be able to use my Disney+ account or will there be some sort of location tracker to ensure everyone is under one roof? Note: We have no problems sharing Netflix across county. Thank you 🙏🏼
you can create up to 7 profiles per Disney+ subscription. You can download movies on the app, then you can watch the downloaded movies on the go or wherever you are!
as long u are in US, they can use your account and create their own profile in there.
Tinnie Relcopan Thank you!
Im only getting Disney + for the Kenobi TV show
Chris Klitou I’m getting Disney + For All marvels and Star Wars shows
MADMUKS same although I’ll probably stumble across some other things.
Chris Klitou if your only gonna get it for that then that’s a bit wasteful.
My problem with Netflix is that it’s losing movies and good tv shows. However as I understand what’s in Disney+ stays. It isn’t pleasant being the middle of a 6 seasons series and seeing that’s it’s going away in a few weeks.
Disney Plus have all my favorite Disney shows and movies but Netflix has stranger things an umbrella Academy I like both I can't choose
I have both of them now and love it.
In regards to #1, two upcoming Disney+ originals, Diary of a Female President and Life & Deaf, are being made by CBS TV, and they also have the streaming rights to Bluey, an acquired show from Australia. So Non-Disney stuff will be allowed on Disney+ to some extent.
I don’t care. They better bring Daredevil back.
Underratted
Jade Nguyen no the show ended. It’s not like it was canceled with no closure season 3 was clearly an ending for the show why drag it out just let it end.
HercB then why did it end on a cliffhanger? If it ended how it wanted to then wouldn’t they just kill off Bullseye?
HercB ABF I still want it to keep going! Maybe in movies? Just don’t end such a good thing so soon! We deserve *at least* 2 more to make 5 seasons!!
Number one Disney plus is actually good
Yeah. I had a really hard time finding shows I like on Netflix. I just found one... The OA and then they cancelled it in the middle of the story line! Disney+ has so many shows and movies I want to see...
where can i watch mean girl? I'm dying to watch this, if you know where to watch or where you watched, please tell me
The only complaint I have is that there should be at least SOME R rated stuff.
Now disney plus has star
RIP Netflix🤣🤣
Breaking bad is my favorite because why wouldn’t it be
Disney already canceled their Disney villain TV series so I don’t trust Disney to handle dark and gritty stuff Even if they are bringing in Moon Knight!
...which is exactly why I am getting Disney+. I want positive, fun stuff.
Disney needs to stop trying to worry about family friendly content like they do
you never heard of HULU? also 100% own by Disney...
Damn fr?
No Disney owns a share of Hulu , they didn’t buy out Hulu
Song, NOPE (67%), Comcast still owns the rest for at least 5 more years (2024)... (so, NOT YET)
I mean they own most of hulu so they basically control everything... That's why they are putting the R-rated ox content on there and making the hulu + disney + espn bundle
Indiana jones belongs to disney so yes... you will see it on disney+ eventually
actually no, you will not see Indiana jones on Disney+ the studio who makes Indiana Jones still Has all the Lucasfilm rights to it. that would be paramount pictures.
So is family guy going to be on Disney+?
Unfortunately, it won't be on Disney+.
It's already on hulu, I believe
It’s not that it’s better but as a mom of 3 and i think that a lot of parents will agree, it’s a no brainer if you have kids cause they can log on and have endless safe content to watch and then you don’t have to watch “the cat in the hat” 50 times a day. Lol. Going with Disney, plus they also have Hulu and espn. SOLD. plus I have Netflix which I’ll be keeping it’s worth it.
Make sure they exercise too
Streaming services means more easy piracy.
Netflix : we have an army of Movie studios !
Disney + : we 've MARVEL !
Disney+ sounds better than netflix without its mature content. Netflix has gone crazy with its mature content and I'm sick of it. Hulu and Amazon aren't much better.
Thank you!! I thought I was the only one...
Will there be a Disney + app? Also is it coming to UK
Yes and yes.
Do u know if Dr. House or Married with Children from fox will be on it now that they own fox?
Married with children is already on hulu, I believe
spididerman, nor Fox nor Disney produce either show (both happened to be broadcasted by Fox): MWC is a Sony Pictures TV production, House MD is a Comcast (Universal TV) show. The latter could go in Peacock or let them keep it elsewhere.
I will have disney plus alongside netflix
Ok but why did this review pretty mich negate the fact that Disney owns Hulu which outside of Netflix original content has everything that was just said Disney plus wouldn’t. Just set yourself up with a Disney and Hulu account and your pretty much gold🤷🏻♂️🤷🏻♂️
getting all 3 would still be cheaper than cable
2025:
Disney buys Netflix.
My new favorite show is definitely The Mandalorian!!!
FavTV SHOW is The Walking Dead and Breaking Bad
If anyone has the fire stick get an app called beetv. U have to wait until there's a good copy for people to get them for u to watch for free. But it only takes like a month or so after it's out in theaters.
The reason they are waiting to put marvel movies on, is because they already signed a deal with Netflix, and they will slowly move marvel to Disney +
@TRV YEET , WTF what?
@TRV YEET , I am saying Disney + is not worth the money. Disney+ didn't add anything that was a new hit this year. They added year+ stuff and new content. I want to see the new movies not this stuff.
Did you do it?
Disney: yes
What did it cost?
Disney: the Continue Watching button
It’s that fact that Disney+ leans more towards Teenagers and children or people who like Disney. While Netflix leans towards young adults.
Disney+ is already better for me because it just has everything I would be interested in Netflix only has some things
If you're an adult, Disney+ will leave you unsatisfied. You'll soon tire of the childish content.
The Dude Abides no. You call the Mandalorian childish and the MCU?
I’m Aussie and here in Australia, Friends (my favourite tv show of all time) is not available on Netflix Australia, so I had to get another streaming service called Stan (AVAILABLE IN AUSTRALIA ONLY YE BOI) just to watch Friends. Sure, it has other great stuff, but I only mainly watch Friends on it. For some reason I thought I was in a rush to see every single episode as fast as I could, so in 9 weeks, I saw EVERY SINGLE EPISODE from the season 1 pilot to the season 10 finale.
This is a heavily Netflix biased and misleading review. No mention of Hulu or ESPN+
Your biggest leave out and a huge game changer is Hulu. Add Disney plus with Hulu and at a Netflix price, open to all ratings and outside content, BIG game changer within the conversation of comparisons
Can u do an updated version of this
I think Disney+ is better than Netflix but, not the same series
What if you already have a Hulu student subscription (free with Spotify only being $4.99 each month) and get Disney+, will there be an option to connect accounts without having to switch to a bundle?
It’s not just going to have Disney owned and made content. They’ve green lit a couple of shows being made by CBS.
That's so true! I never thought of that. The main reason I use Netflix is for the korean dramas😂
@@Luna.311 I love Korea and Chinese royal dramas 😘
0:11 was the fresh prince of bel air actually on netflix at one point?
It is on the Canadian version of netflix
It is on the colombian version too. Where i live.
Spookers tu tambien eres Colombiano? I live in az tho
Favorite TV show is Mad Men which I watched on Netflix earlier this year.
Wouldn't we be the winners because we get to watch the shows we grew up with so how would we be the losers
Agreed. Disney+ is the best thing ever happened to streaming! And the first one I will pay money for. I think it's good we have different options for different people.
@@warizoh thank you
I have both Disney and Netflix but I think my family is gonna be getting rid of Netflix after stranger things 4.
Eve O Stranger things 5 will be the last so I recommend you stay for that
@@ItzDuvio yes
Hey! I think you should add korean because Im korean! I love your video
Disney + Chill
Is pre-order Disney+ now so excited
i got an ad for disney plus on this video
*At **3:27** in this video:* _Disney's Aladdin_ doesn't cost $50 on Blu-ray; it probably only costs around $20 to $25 on Blu-ray - so what are you talking about, here? 🤦♂️
Netflix takes 2 years to get a very high demand movie.
Anybody who put disney plus over Netflix is trippin like Netflix has waaayyy more stuff and diversity in there catalogue, and there’s one way im gonna pay for a platform to watch stuff I’ve already watched along time ago and disney plus doesn’t have enough new and different shows on it to even compete with Netflix, Netflix is definitely better but wandivision seems dope
The ones who argue which one is better can’t afford both
still prefer netflix
Differences:
Netflix's Marvel series barely mattered in the MCU
Disney+'s series are crucial for the MCU
