A shelter would be a great idea for Gary especially when the Fall & Winter months come around. When temperatures drop, with him being lame, more likely his joints will start to ache due from the lameness. Happens to us most of us and our animals. We end up with arthritis. And so relieved you found Starla and her baby.

I was reading comments & so was expecting it. I still jumped too. Poor Fireball felt a bit guilty I think in getting Lester. She must have been very very focused on the dogs & thought one managed to get up there. Poor baby. Eventually though the dogs will learn to ignore the cats one way or another. Although I think Mabel thinks she's Stella's kitten/puppy.

I am glad Donkey Dan is getting better with getting out of the weather. I am glad that the move didn't set him back with his PTSD from Hurricane Harvey. Donkey Dan has been working on his fear of being trapped in a building after his experience in Hurricane Harvey on his own with the help of Ima Jean.

Lester, 4 of my paws big paddocks have 2 sheds on each like yours with 70 cattle in each. 4 other paddocks do not have cover. They have big shaded eucalyptus trees as rain cover. But I believe the ones without shelter are jealous of the cattle that do have shelter. Because a few bulls break through the fences. To get under the sheds when it rains. A lot of Australians don't have shelters either.

Except that for Lester's goats a collar and bell designate the leader of the herd. We don't want Starla to teach the whole herd her escape artist ways!!
