It depends on what you favour. Your Koadjutors and your Game Style which one is better. An ar can be used as a spray while an infantry can be not. So a combat(mixture of spray and shotgunsniper) and an infantry rifle are a great combination while ar infantry requires an extra spray.
But this kid seemed to prefer the ar while others did not.
As said it depends on the personal favour.
