Sorry for this. Yes we have had problems with a special series of those pumps. But now we have the new generation and no problems anymore. The new skimmers are super silent and are working very stable. And with the emergency overflow we have a developed a new feature which a lot of people likes.
@@deltecgmbh I have ordered the 600i with manual cleaning head. It should arrive today. The emergency overflow is the primary reason for trying out Deltec once again (4th one..)
I still am not convinced about the d.c pumps as all the owners I’ve spoken to said they regretted choosing this over a 1455. I’ve never spoken to one disappointed owner of a a.c deltec (except maybe the m.ce600 but will agree it is probably THE only h.o.b that won’t empty your tank onto your floor) but with the 1456 I’ve heard loads of people constantly complain about the pumps going wrong. After reef octopus and nyos deltec are my favourite skimmers. I own a m.c.e 600, 1350 and 1455. Luckily I managed to find a 1455 and 1350 brand new sat on the shelf of my local fish store
@@sondercichlidaquariums4951 I have also owned the classic 1455 but it was way too loud. I have the 600i for some time now and have to admit that the pump has not failed me even once (this was a different story with the SC1456). Moreover it is more silent that the nyos quantum 160. And the overflow feature has proven itself usefull many times already.. Deltec.. thank you for this skimmer, it is a keeper.
Tim M I think I may have to invest in one. I’ve not got any complaints about noise, in all fairness I’ve only really used deltec since coming to marine from cichlids. I started off with the mce 600 (not too impressed with its skimming ability but I suppose it’s not bad for a hob) but have been really impressed with both the 1350 and the 1455. I’ve not owned nyos or reef octopus so don’t have much in the way in comparison but was warned off the d.c deltec units. Been told they go wrong way way quicker. Was also told they are cheap Chinese jebao pumps that have been tweaked by deltec before being added (hence the reason the sc1350 was more expensive with its old school aquabee a.c pump than the sc1351 with the Chinese hit and miss. I’m definitely with make some inquiries into the 600i
After trying to hunt down the best videos for the overflow. It would really help if the video would prioritise the critical parts to see how they are connected and running in reaction(a lot of blind spots). The manual was not handy at all(imo).🙄.I have from the 1990'sa lot of skimmer experience to present and very capable not counting even the ones have designed myself through the years.
That's so clever - great work 👍
Looking forward to see all your future videos translated in English
My only question is: is it possible to run CO2 scrubber media and maintain the overflow protection?
Hi I just set up my 400i and the 24 hours later I still do not see any foam just micro bubbles. Have I set it up wrong? Thanks
To be honest, I have been disappointed with the SC1456 (pump issues) and purchased a different skimmer. However, this is a very neat feature!

Una pregunta, para instalar ozono o el carboex de ATI, se tendria que anular el sistema de antidesbordamiento?

@@deltecgmbh How deep must the skimmer 600ix be in the sump ( not the water in the tube , the skimmer itself )
Are these available in the USA? Can't find many stores with them... Thanks!
We want to expand in the USA. We have a new partner: RAD in Florida. Talk to him and you can order Deltec products.
My new deltec 1000i is death silent quiet not E1 I can't here air sucking noise and pump is to powerful death silent. Thank you deltec
What if you put the air intake out side with an extended tube, that will stop the overflow mechognism from working.
Wow Steven Hawking talking about Deltec
