Hits a bit lower in the chest and removes shoulders from the exercise....though come to think of it, if you're shorter than me you might have a hard time with that technique even with the seat at the highest position.

There's a wide range of health by age, talk to a professional for specifics. In general though, avoid loading a weight over your spine (traditional squats). I think this routine will work for all ages. If you feel pain doing any lift, stop! And then access. Is it form, too heavy, or just a motion that doesn't work for you.

All shoulders when doing chest press? Use the grip that helps you target chest muscles--even if it's lower peak resistance.
