Great job improvising with the wire. They really should have put those clips all the way around. The good thing about the ECONOLINE vans is that there are a lot of parts and repairs are usually not too expensive. I'm getting ready to change the shocks on my 2011 e150 this weekend. I studied on RUclips University, so I thing I'm prepared to do it. LOL.
Thanks! Since this video, I have seen a video Crome from Vancity Vanlife do a tuck and roll technique with these odd clips to make it work. I just don’t have the motivation to take it apart and redo it. Hey, have fun with your shocks!
I know it's like a year later, but those front and side clips that you ended up zip-tying.... what you have to do is roll the edge over, the clip will then hook. It's awkward and non-obvious, until you "see" it, then it makes sense... otherwise nice little video! :)
I have a Corvette it a 84 and the seat bottoms unclip so you can switch sides that why I suggested that since you can also unbolt them like that this would be a option @@holidaytinn
Do you have any suggestions on links to remove a modified driver's seat from a handicap van (to be replaced with regular driver seat)? The whole base of the seat is different - to allow the seat to slide back on rails and then swivel so driver could transfer to wheelchair. Any help would be appreciated.
You did this all wrong and the clips on the seat are fine you just do not know what you are doing. You should have kept trying to figure it out as you would have eventually got it. I wish I was there to show you but I am not. The open end of the clip just slides down on the L shaped metal frame !!
Awesome job, buddy. I'm trying to get myself a van, too. 👍
Great content; I also subscribed!
Thanks ! I like your channel, I subscribed as well.
@@holidaytinn Thank you, brother!

Thanks, I’ll have to try that next time (if I ever do it again).
Nice job! Can’t wait to see more from you.
Thanks! More videos to come!
I wonder if you could use a passenger seat bottom out of a junk yard for driver side looks easy to remove
You probably could try that, but I’m not 100% sure that they are the same. A good parts guy could probably tell you.
