It always seems like such a monumental struggle for me to get a top 10 in a public race, yet here you are chllin and like a leaf in the wind, you seem to always end up with good finishes. #blackmagic
Great finish. Interesting when a “crazy” strategy works out. I guess that’s why I really enjoy watching you run this series. You always seem to do the opposite of what everybody else does, and it usually pays off. Great video!
This is exactly why I wanted and am glad we are extending these races for the Legends. I don't mind a caution coming out at the time of whether or not you can make it on fuel and have to play that game of saving yet being fast. But starting the race and immediately saving just isn't racing imo. I do it too because hey, gotta do what you can to win. But that's 3 races this year (Dover, Atlanta, Homestead) where you can make it on fuel with no stops if it goes green all the way by just being slow. Looking forward to eliminating that and having more strategy again.
My strategy call was worse.. one caution in my race at around lap 10. The pit early call worked for the ones who tried it in my race.. i did not expect there to be only 1 caution. I was running top 5 and was in the lead early. I had the bright idea to pit a couple laps earlier than the others at around halfway but the tires even a couple laps newer means so much so I ended up losing ground in the long run and ended up 12th. Really mad at myself for that one.
Well I'm not sure pitting on lap 20 was the best idea but it eventually worked out in the end lol. Great run through the field after that yellow and nice pass on the 8 right at the end. Thankfully the 2 didn't stay out there
Great finish, had to get aggressive there at the end. I hate to be *that* guy to cause the caution but the 17 had chopped my nose the turn before, so I drove in high and still got a bit chopped off. Sucks because it nearly ruined my own strategy, lucky to pick off some spots in the one lap shootout.
@@kneebon5 Yeah that's what I thought...but you mentioned taking the wave around at one point in the race (29:13) when you were no longer a Lucky Dog candidate. Maybe you just misspoke.

Great finish mate. You didn’t make it boring at all. I spent lap’s looking at your revision mirror waiting for those lap down cars to wreck lol.
Good race. crazy restart. the first 2/3 of the race and the last1/3 of the race was very different indeed.

wow - that was fun to watch and listen to your thoughts - great job!
Just like you drew it up…😂 Great race, fun to watch
Can’t decide if your bored, over thinking, or brilliant when it comes to strategy calls. Good race and great finish!

Great race.. meditative first half… second half very different.. great moves there :)
I love it when you get bored and try crazy stuff lol
I at least got to feel faster than everyone for a little bit

I get so annoyed when people lolligag catching the pace car

Sketchy plan but it worked!
I like the new paint kinda got a Geoff Bodine Levi Garrett thing going on
Thats what it looks like, i figured there was something that i had seen in the past to make me think it looks good
