She's functionally been a hololive member since very close to the beginning though, so it creates a disconnect where she is technically the kouhai to all the hololive members when in truth she's been a vtuber for longer than they have, just not under the Hololive name.
To answer our gorilla's question, Subaru was the only holobirb available. Lui doesn't have her model yet, and the rest are from different branches, so Shuba Duck was the only possible member who was eligible

Angry Luna is so cute and indeed she's a vampire so she hates the mornings which is why she stays indoors and games and sleeps in daytime lol. Its also very nice seeing AZKi in these! I love her model and I'm glad she's in hologra with everyone else!
AZKi being the voice of reason this time instead of Subaru was a hilarious change of pace. Also loved the animation of the clouds from the jetpack. Can't wait to see more like this!
with each passing episode the animators and editors hone their skills. every once in a while they will discover some new aspect and do a episode of hologra where they just mess around with it to the max like the mouth movements or moving their ears. then it gets added to their repertoire
Oozora literally means "vast sky" in Japanese, but they made it work well in the transalation. But yeah, it's way overdue to "establish" her original lore and name aside from being a duck
Subaru’s usually the straight man- er…straight duck for these HoloGra episodes, so it’s a nice change of pace to see her…well, being chaotic. On a side note, how nice of Subaru to try and pay Sana a visit!

yeah the biggest changes started around 6 months ago when they started properly animating the mouths. From there they slowly started adding more hand drawn/animated effects. It’s really cool to see the progression and I wonder what the quality will be like by next year
