I used to work at a Home Depot in La Mirada, California.. and when you’re caught stealing from the store, or taking money from the register, you are escorted down the main aisle with your former workmates looking at you, in cuffs into the car of the police

She deserved everything she got. Stealing, betraying people and taking advantage of their trust is never justified. If she wanted a raise in her salary, why didn't she just ask for one? Beth called the police and would be pressing charges. It would have been better if the Police came and arrested Jessica on the spot however. But kudos to Supermission doing a video they have NEVER done before, about Employees stealing from the register. I was just thinking that Supermission videos are so formulaic. Flight Attendant being rude to passenger and ends up being fired by CEO, Villain is rude to undercover CEO and gets fired, Villain is in Retail or Food Service and is rude to "Poor," Customer and is nice to "Rich," Customer. "Poor," Customer turns out to be rich and "Rich," Customer is either a Shoplifter or a Dine and Dasher, Villain dumps significant other because significant other is poor. Significant other becomes rich and Villain comes back begging to be taken back and Significant other refuses. Working Villain berates stay at home Mom and then dumps her, Villain comes back begging to be taken back and is refused, often Stay at home Mom has already been remarried. Villain steals Protagonist's idea at work, and Boss is thinks Villain came up with idea and chastises Protagonist for not having any ideas. Protagonist tells off Villain for stealing their idea. Villain is like,"You REALLY shouldn't have told me your great idea. Now I'm getting praise for it." Protagonist is disgusted. Boss soon figures out that Villain stole Protagonist's idea and fires Villain and tells Protagonist to speak up in the future. Protagonist agreed and Boss makes Protagonist a Manager. Parent kicks out Child for not having a job. A couple of years later, Parent is jobless and Child is CEO of company. Parent ends up begging Child for a job. Child often gives the job, and once in a blue moon tells the Parent to fuck off. Villain dumps significant other for another person, side affair ends up dumping the Villain or cheating on them, Villain goes back to significant other begging to be taken back. Protagonist doesn't take significant other back. Villain wants Friend to spend a LOT of money for Villain's Wedding despite Protagonist losing their job. Protagonist says they don't have the money because they lost their job and Villain berates them for not having the money. A fight ensues and then later Villain is like,"Damn, the Protagonist is right!" And they make up. Customer is REALLY rude to Waiter. Manager kicks out rude Customer. Waiter/Waitress is rude to Customer. Manager fires Employee. Sales Clerk is rude to Customer. Manager fires Employee. Customer is rude to Employee. Manager kicks out rude Customer. Gold digger loves rich significant other's money and not them. Rich significant other tests Gold digger and dumps them. Manager is rude to undercover CEO and gets fired. There are many more examples.
There are many formulaic Supermission videos.

Outcome narrator: When in a workplace, we should always be alert of everything that goes on, because sometimes it’s the people closest to us that can hurt us the most and not everything is as it seems to be. Also, Racism and Prejudice in any setting should never be tolerated by any means and should be taken care of as soon as possible. Sure enough, after Jessica was fired, she was arrested a day later and charged with first degree theft. All the evidence the cops found on the video cameras were enough to put her away. As punishment in court, she was ordered to pay $10,000 to the store. Of course Jessica refused, believing she is too American to pay any sort of fines and was sentenced to 7 years in prison. Her Karen-like behavior cost her everything in a matter of days. After everything had subsided, as a reward for his honesty about Jessica and hard work, Beth presented Edgar with a huge promotion. Eventually with all the money he saved up, he was able to start his own company and hired Beth as his own manager.

That's called aiding and abetting. While it's not as bad as committing the crime, he still helped a crime happen, which is very illegal. He should also be fined and fired.

This is why many businesses, especially those dealing with a lot of cash (banks, insurance agencies, convenience stores, etc.) require employees to be bondable. Such businesses take out fidelity bonds (an insurance policy against employee dishonesty and the company will have covered persons screened for any possible past dishonesty records). I hated Jessica's entitled attitude about Beth having gone to a community college - implying she was dumb. Many people go to such schools if they are unsure about what career to pursue and don't want to waste a lot of money or can't afford to go to a four year school - it has nothing to do with brains. There are very intelligent persons such as myself who attended such a school to save money - and then when get a stable job transfer their credits to a respectable four year university. Edgar should have received a warning for not being initially honest; am sure it didn't occur to him that his "friend" would throw him under the bus, using racism about him to boot.
