Alternate way to get the voiceover in the train level: do the level until you find that brown window grate thing, open it, and go inside. This was actually how I found out about it, and the voiceover scared the crap outta me.
On the mountain level just jumping up normally to the tarzan rope is far faster than going backwards across the mountain ledges and going through the cave
Dude I know another secret in castle you go by the grass near the windmill at the back near there is a hole down in the ground but you can get down there

I got through the cave and got the achievement without the lantern, it was a challenge for me and there was plenty of darkness but I did do it
