I personally don’t like when Astrologers state just the houses. It’s too general that way.
The degrees are most important because (unless you use whole sign system) the degrees of certain Astro events do not consistently fall in the same houses for every particular rising sign. M
For example I am a late degree Gemini rising but I have an Aquarius MC. I end up needing to listen to 3 rising signs due to this(Taurus, Gemini and Cancer) When astrologers say the degrees of happenings I can tune into whichever house fits that degree of the event.
Listening for your rising sign is going to be more accurate than listening for your sun sign. Assuming one understands that… House systems matter. There are different house systems. The demarcation of houses change according to each individual chart when using the Placidus house system for example. That’s why hearing the degrees will give more accuracy. If you learn the degrees of your houses in Placidus or equal house, you can listen to these kinds of videos in a way that you will get more out of it.

Thank you for this Donna. Can you explain why paying attention to your rising sign would be more important than sun sign? My understanding was that the rising sign is more about outward presentation where as the sun is the core of who you are? If that’s correct (and it may not be!) wouldn’t sun sign be more important?
Donna, can you please name the houses (areas of things happeing) with the house number?
Do I listen to my Sun sign or Rising sign?
Just opinion here but I think you will get more out of these kinds of videos if you listen for your rising sign. You will get even more out of it if you know which house system you cast your chart in and you note the degrees within each house. Then you can factor in where 20 degrees of Aquarius falls for you with more precision and listen for the description of that house.
