A good rune magician of temperance/gluttony would really benefit from the Hallowed Necromancer archtype, since it actually gives them a bunch of necromancer spells they wouldnt normally get
The black cauldron appears in the anniversary edition of Rise of the Runelords, in the annexes. Very cool. Seems that the black monks succeeded, after all !
I think the interesting thing about Zutha is that he isn't "solved." All of the Runelords were either slain or calmed down and became modern queens of New Thassilon in 1E. Zutha however is still waiting, somewhere. He's gone, but he's still a potential threat. His unique lichdom with 3 phalacteries holding his soul has left him a unique kind of immortal, waiting for a body. I think a rune giant necromancer possessed by a fragment of his soul, seeking all three books for a true revival sounds like a great villain for a homebrew campaign. Or maybe the 3 books can only be truly destroyed if united in a ritual, but you must face the might of the second strongest lich in existence.
37:54 this is now the third kingdom on golarion i know of that has a "government-run semi-alive flesh stockpile" environmental hazard moment lmao never change, wizards with political power
it’s about when i got to the part of the video about the runeslave cauldron that i realized just how much the runelords fuckin HATED giants like what the hell dawg
the boat that summons the spherical boat of zutha is a boat that flys? or just goes on the water? i imagine that can fly because i dont see rivers on zutha territorys
In this eight day of sinmas, the runelords gave to me: HUNGER IMMORTAL
29:00 sounds a lot like Zutha was the only Runelord that deeply understood that he was in fact a wizard.
Maybe Kaliphesta was just super goth, and Xin wanted to accomodate, like buying Christmas presents for your teenage kid while way out of touch.
My fav thread of Sin Magic

That really would be a great archetype for them.

I’d just finished the “Lord of Runes” novel as you were starting this series. I was WAITING to hear more about Zutha.😮
I didn't expect much from Lord of Runes, but I ended up really enjoying it.

Seriously, not even death could set the poor giants free.
I bet when the two was around they were called Greedy Aethusa and Hungry Aethusa
So Zutha was basically a doomsday prepper...

Yes, it can fly.
