I've had the privilege of training with Tuhon Kier long ago for a day and it changed my outlook on everything in regards to combatives and integrating edged weapons. He is without a doubt a master of his craft.
No doubt a wealth of knowledge accompanied by some excellent training. Also, some well-trained roll players can add some exponential value to training. That being said, the role player that acted like an idiot along with the one that just stood there with the machete while Bill cleared his malfunction should both never be used again. Talk about two extremes. Thanks for sharing your experience.
I understand drawing with SHO situationally, but it doesn’t make sense to do it for every rep, every time… if you have the distance availability why would you not use the faster and more consistent 2 handed draw?
