My favourite couple Aaron and Robert. I never watched uk soaps. I discover their storyline on youtube. I am glad to be available and like i am from Portugal i am lucky to watch and i never watched other storylines like this. For me they are the best couple of two mens i ever watched. I became completely addicted to their love story and the characters of Aaron and Robert. I never watched before a storyline of this so full of love passion hate drama. With both of them you can feel that. Of course Aaron is my favourite. I felt all the emotions he shared. A type of guy beautiful, good person, troubled guy with reasons to be. So strong and the same time so vulnerable. Aaron could show me the public what a human being a person can be. He can be one person but at the same time be others. Not everything is just black and white or good or bad. I never felt connected like i felt with Aaron. About Robert i never liked robert. But with time and knowing is love for Aaron i started to forgive some things he did and i can see not only a bad guy he was before because he changed for loving Aaron and he truly loves Aaron the things he did for him and Aaron deserves to be loved because what he suffered when he was a child a horrible thing. And what a chemistry both guys have!!! I dont know if robert will be back but i would like to see that. Poor Aaron yes he suffered when Robert went to prison and when he end things with Aaron. Robert at the same time suffered knowing that he will never see the love of his life anymore but now his sentence can be reduced. No ben boring sorry or other can't be a perfect match for Aaron. They have a magic chemistry and above all love and i cant see that with ben or others like alex. I am not saying that Aaron shoud be single forever of course he deserves a person who loves him but i cant see with guys like ben mackenzie or alex. That chemistry he only have with Robert who loves Aaron very much almost like an obsession. I hope that Aaron doesnt go to self harm. I know its his way of coping but its not good mechanism is just a mechanism of dealing with stuff he found. Now they are not together but always will be Aaron and Robert for me. Even if they recast not be the same because its not the same actor and the chemistry could not be good. Or exists or not and with Aaron and Robert 100% chemistry. I hope one day he can return and they can have their happy ending with a child of theirs like they always wanted. At the meantime i am glad that beautiful love story exists and when i want i can watch. Robron forever
This is all pure SL setup for Robert to return. Ben is a really good character and actually really good with Aaron now that they let them show chemistry. Ben and Aaron won't last. Aaron will either break up with Ben to help Vic OR Ben will stick around to be a support system for Aaron while things go through with Robert. I give it six months and Robert will be back - Ryan or recast - either way. It will be during a sweeps so I project around October because I think Ryan will be back filming after this last vacay with his family. This is classic soap SL

Aaron might be a moody git but in this particular scene I say he was well within his right to tell Ben to leave. I get that Ben wants to be supportive and he's been awesome at it so far but the last person I would want to discuss my ex husband with is my current boyfriend. Imagine discussing the love of your life, your marriage and your relationship....with the dude your seeing. Awkward doesn't even begin to cover it. Also, Ben wasn't there when Robron went down and he is a new relationship, he got no insight in the matter. And Aaron not wanting to tag along to the prison? completely understandable. Not only did Robert break up their marriage in the worst possible way by giving Aaron no say in it whatsoever, shuting him out and telling him to move on (Which is what Aaron is trying to do)... if he sees Robert he's gonna be back at square one, hooked on someone who's no chance in hell of getting out of prison anytime soon.

I love how everyone is invested in the Robron "saga"! I've said a couple of times; it's going to take a very big carrot to get Ryan back. It's understandable that he didn't want to be typecast and he's always wanted to be a director. Danny said that Soaps offer a great deal of chances for actors to portray many different aspects of a single character, Ryan certainly did that! Hard man, fearless, conniving, loving (girl and boy! That was brave and he certainly got that right!!!), perfect one-liners, great comic timing and he nailed being emotionally distraught to perfection! Needs to work on being drunk though... lol Personally I think they should offer him the chance to direct a couple of storylines to get him back. Any guy who's recast has big shoes to fill... good luck to the casting director!!!

Last 18 months has been rough in the entertainment industry so it might tempt him back... but we're at the mercy of the producers, not just the script writers. I think it's a tough one to call, huge risk re-casting so soon after Ryan's departure and it's got to be close to 7 years since Danny and the team first saw those who originally auditioned for the part and those that did will have certainly moved on... I know not everyone agrees but I think Ryan has set a pretty high bar...

Aaron is well aware of his problems and are clearly trying to put down boundaries so he doesn’t hurt Ben unnecessarily. Ben should listen to him when he says that he needs some time alone. Everyone has the right to privacy. It’s not strange that Aaron is being like this when Vic starts talking about Robert seemingly out of nowhere. He was miserable when Rob broke of contact and everyone was telling him to just move on. Now that he finally has moved on they bring it up again. What kind of reaction was Vic expecting? But all Ben is at the moment is a plot device, that's why I call him Alex 2.0. Honestly I think Ben deserves better, but the show isn't gonna give him that.

Even if aaron is hurt, he is so selfish. It's always "me me me" with him. I do understand his pain, his fears to be hurt again but they're talking about helping a man who did everything to get him out of prison years ago, who fought so much for him because he loves him. But nope, aaron lets his fears winning him again, he prefers to hide instead of trying to help the man who changed his life. His feelings were always coming first in their relationship in the past but damn... if Robert knew that, he would understand but we couldn't blame him to be disappointed. He always had to prove to aaron how much he loves him day per day, he suffered from it.. now, it's probably the time for aaron to return the favor even if he wins nothing. I hope the writers know what they are doing, i understand how terrified aaron can be, but this character was always described as a good man who do everything for the people he loves...except here, it's "me me me me" all over again. Even when Vic told him about the Lee/luke fight, his first thoughts were about him. Idk what these writers are planning. They will probably surprise us or will disappoint us, i really don't know but Aaron knows how lonely Robert feels..and i guess i'm just tired to see him putting his feelings first even if we can't blame him because it hurts.

Back in 2017, the way he was always telling to Robert to move on because he was with Alex, he knew Robert was still desperate to have him back. I know what mental issue can do to people and to their family. And here.. damn, vic is talking about not only his ex-husband but about someone who sacrificed everything for him, his freedom, his life... yes, the character probably won't coming back but it's time for aaron to understand that helping Robert to win his freedom again is more important than his own feelings. I dont agree. Yeah maybe Aaron behaves like that sometimes but thats all because what he suffered when was a child, abandonment from his mother the rape of gordon. He never felt himself good enough and loved. He is now an adult but that he has in his head he felt all time that no one loves him or is good enough and that is mental. He has mental issues and that kind are very hard to deal. He sometimes can feel that. He has the right to feel what he feel because robert yes loves Aaron very deeply but he asked for the divorce and Aaron felt bad with that and now knowing that robert can be out of prison he doesnt know how to feel about. I think he feels a certain anger because what he did and maybe because robert is the person who loves him who also encouraged him always putting aaron in first place and then suddenly that person is not there anymore so he felt bad with that and now he doesnt know how to deal with that. Its understandable. And robert is not a saint he did a pretty bad things horrible things. I am not saying he deserved this time because is a different guy a better guy but in the begining he deserved and was lucky. But i really want robert back because they together are the best couple. I've read the comments, but everyone has forgetting has Victoria told Robert yet that Aaron has moved on with "mr cling on?!" Aka Ben?! Coz Robert wouldn't want Aaron near him or the prison, he would of had the same reaction when Aaron & dr hair (Alex) were together they would of had the same conversation all over again like that time at the hospital! I reckon Robert will sacrifice himself & tell Victoria to leave it & he will stick to the same prison time!

Ben doesn't get to be his own person just like Alex wasn't his own person. When they first brought Ben on, he had more of his own worth as a character apart from Aaron, they even gave him a friend. Now he just gets to exist for the glory of Aaron as a plot device and that's just stupid. Of course Aaron is gonna get a new fella, he's freaking Aaron Dingle. Characters like Aaron don't stay single for long. But when the show does sets up Aaron with someone who has staying power as his fella, it's gonna be someone who isn't a plot device. Someone whose their own character outside of Aaron. Also a character who has their own weight to be a partner worthy of being paired with a legendary character. They aren't gonna put someone with Aaron long term, whose not on the same level as Aaron. Now they might improve Ben, or they might go with Mack, or they might go with a completely different fella. But all Ben is at the moment is a plot device, that's why I call him Alex 2.0. Honestly I think Ben deserves better, but the show isn't gonna give him that.
I think they were trying with Mack Ben. Mack was a good option. But Ben cmon. Yes he is like Alex. They have the look but dont have nothing more. Aaron has the looks and a personality. They should or putting Aaron with someone more interesting. One day Robert can return. Until now I think Aaron deserves a storyline

Even if aaron is hurt, he is so selfish. It's always "me me me" with him. I do understand his pain, his fears to be hurt again but they're talking about helping a man who did everything to get him out of prison years ago, who fought so much for him because he loves him. But nope, aaron lets his fears winning him again, he prefers to hide instead of trying to help the man who changed his life. His feelings were always coming first in their relationship in the past but damn... if Robert knew that, he would understand but we couldn't blame him to be disappointed. He always had to prove to aaron how much he loves him day per day, he suffered from it.. now, it's probably the time for aaron to return the favor even if he wins nothing. I hope the writers know what they are doing, i understand how terrified aaron can be, but this character was always described as a good man who do everything for the people he loves...except here, it's "me me me me" all over again. Even when Vic told him about the Lee/luke fight, his first thoughts were about him. Idk what these writers are planning. They will probably surprise us or will disappoint us, i really don't know but Aaron knows how lonely Robert feels..and i guess i'm just tired to see him putting his feelings first even if we can't blame him because it hurts.

@@just-in6848 yes!!! I remember it like i remember the face robert made when liv called aaron out. He was so sad and he understood very well what she meant. Back in 2017, the way he was always telling to Robert to move on because he was with Alex, he knew Robert was still desperate to have him back. Aaron only made a move when he understood Robert was starting to moving on. It was again about his feelings first... i saw his fans defending him, i really understand what they mean. Really!! I know what mental issue can do to people and to their family. And here.. damn, vic is talking about not only his ex-husband but about someone who sacrificed everything for him, his freedom, his life... yes, the character probably won't coming back but it's time for aaron to understand that helping Robert to win his freedom again is more important than his own feelings. It's also about justice. Someone is in prison for something he probably doesn't even did. Robert accepted the consequences of his action, now it's time for aaron to grow up and to see that he isn't the only one who lost everything. Damn, at least, he could think about vic who desperatly wants to help her brother or..idk, seb, the boy he loved calling his son, who lost his father.... but nope, again, his feelings are more important than anything else. And i not even hate him. I just dislike the way they are writing aaron right now
I dont agree. Yeah maybe Aaron behaves like that sometimes but thats all because what he suffered when was a child, abandonment from his mother the rape of gordon. He never felt himself good enough and loved. He is now an adult but that he has in his head he felt all time that no one loves him or is good enough and that is mental. He has mental issues and that kind are very hard to deal. He sometimes can feel that. He has the right to feel what he feel because robert yes loves Aaron very deeply but he asked for the divorce and Aaron felt bad with that and now knowing that robert can be out of prison he doesnt know how to feel about. I think he feels a certain anger because what he did and maybe because robert is the person who loves him who also encouraged him always putting aaron in first place and then suddenly that person is not there anymore so he felt bad with that and now he doesnt know how to deal with that. Its understandable. And robert is not a saint he did a pretty bad things horrible things. I am not saying he deserved this time because is a different guy a better guy but in the begining he deserved and was lucky. But i really want robert back because they together are the best couple. They have an amazing chemistry and robert loves very much Aaron

I've read the comments, but everyone has forgetting has Victoria told Robert yet that Aaron has moved on with "mr cling on?!" Aka Ben?! Coz Robert wouldn't want Aaron near him or the prison, he would of had the same reaction when Aaron & dr hair (Alex) were together they would of had the same conversation all over again like that time at the hospital! I reckon Robert will sacrifice himself & tell Victoria to leave it & he will stick to the same prison time!
Only a lunitic would want to stay in Prison, and don't forget though the show has Robert has a son and I don't think Robert would want his son thinking Ross the guy who shot him to be a father figure

Yes in prison he said that. But one thing is in prison other is out of prison. I think will back to Aaron apologize what he did. But Aaron is now hurt and with anger because what he did. Because in Aaron point of view he felt like basically robert erases him from his life and that hurt Aaron. He said he doesnt want Aaron to suffer so he did that but of course receiving a letter from robert asking for a divorce it was a mean thing to do and i believe that robert suffered with that. But i think Aaron would forgive him eventually

Except this time Aaron only lost his temper after Vic and Ben refused to take a no for a fucking answer. why would anyone want to discuss their failed marriage with their new fling? I like Ben and he's been good to Aaron but he needs to learn to read the room. Aaron and Robert's relationship is not something he needs to poke his nose in. And Victoria should not have tried to emotionally blackmail Aaron to come with her to the prison when she knows that Robert basically threw Aaron away and forced him into a divorce with no say whatsoever. Yeah, Robert said it was so Aaron could move on and that's what he's trying to do so Vic has no buisness trying to drag him back, especially not when Robert's chance of getting out of jail is less than none.
