Minecraft: Java Edition (formerly just Minecraft) is the original version of Minecraft, developed by Mojang Studios for Windows, macOS, and Linux. Notch began development on May 10, 2009, publicly releasing Minecraft on May 17, 2009. The full release of the game (version 1.0.0) was on November 18, 2011, at MINECON 2011.
Bedrock Edition (officially subtitle-less; also known as the Bedrock editions, Bedrock versions, or just Bedrock) refers to the multi-platform versions of Minecraft developed by Mojang Studios, Xbox Game Studios, and SkyBox Labs and based on the Bedrock codebase. The latest Bedrock Edition version is 1.18.2.

To be honest, as a bedrock player, I think our mechanics kinda makes sense more if we're talking about realistic mechanics here. But Java has a lot of useful mechanics that don't exist to us bedrock players. But then again, both versions doesn't have Realistic mechanics exactly, its just a game with it's own version of mechanics, reality not included.

You can get arms on armour stands if you use commands, Java is the better option if you want to make vanilla time machines and stuff

It shows that some things are better in Bedrock and others are better in Java.
Though u neglected to show that snapshots are only Java, like Bedrock has the new bamboo blocks but not the archeology or armor trims or cherry blossom Grove stuff.
@@abadgurl2010bedrock has betas and previews which are just snapshots with different names 😂 bedrock beta does have archeology, plus a world editor Java doesn't have, and bamboo blocks, hanging signs and camels are already in the regular game of bedrock 🤡
@HK Gehts Java has better (and more) mods and all of the little details shown in this video do not matter and barely anybody notices these on a first playthrough. Also, trapdoor crawling.
@@EngiGODS358 the little details do matter. And yes Java has more mods, but they aren't as accessible or easy with multiplayer as Minecraft bedrock. And Java is much older... I would be willing to be that there are more bedrock mods for the newest update than java mofs
@HK Gehts Well that's because making an add on for bedrock is so accessible, which is both good and bad. Bad because now a bunch of children on their moms iPad can upload whatever trash they put together on the internet flooding the add on space with amateur poorly mad add-ons with little effort but also good because it let's real talented people make a spotlight for their work. So add-ons are usually a mixed bag. Java is better as a consumer since there many popular, well known, and high quality mods which you can simply insert into your mods folder and play using forge or fabric. (Which are super easy to install)

As a java player I only miss the random fish size, also it would be much easier for me to use C# insted of Java when comes to codeing...

You can mod Minecraft bedrock you know... It has a very big and growing modding community and a much larger player base than java
@@hkgehts9061 ir isn't as flexibles as java's though, and by that I mean, look at mods like Create! Things like that are either impossible or much much much harder to make on bedrock
@@Cer0_ it is just as flexible to mod it, and the addons, which are like data packs, are SO much more advanced than on Java as well. You just have to learn C++
@@hkgehts9061 are there actually mods on bedrock that aren't add-ons? As far as I know, the only form of modding in bedrock is with add-ons, which in fact are more advance than datapacks, but still much less flexibles than the traditional Java mods you install with forge or fabric

as a bedrock player they both are good but personally I would bedrock is better despise it's limits however if your looking for a more modded type Java is definitely the way to go

@@hkgehts9061 Most existing mods and launchers don't support Bedrock.
My favorite server for example, Wynncraft, doesn't support Bedrock AT ALL because it was written in Java not C++.
@@Jepegish yeah, so it would have to change it's coding. And of course most existing mods only support Java... Bedrock has been around for less than half the time. But since most players play on bedrock, it's only a mater of time
Why are there such minor differences, one thing I wish was a parity is combat, that’s really the only thing drastically different
I play on bedrock edition lol you can put potions in cauldrons, along with dying the water different colors. Our wither has more health too. Tho I do wish we could get the doors as air pockets, it's slot easier than the magma blocks. Same for behavior packs. Like shaders and the fluffy leaves one

I got so used to bedrock that when I played on java and I had to make a boat I tried making it the bedrock way
As a bedrock player, the only thing I like better than Java is the fact that there is no fear mechanic for iron golem generation. Oh yeah, and our armor stands have hands. Really, I think I may like it better if only flying machines would work properly, instead of randomly hopping back and forth. Edit; I didn't realize that in java you can't bonemeal flowers

Here's why bedrock is better
1. We have better render distance
2. Armor stands have arms for tools
3. Built in mods that creators implement into the game
4. Easier to add friends into ur worlds
5. Under water Redstone to prevent problems from happening
6. Dyeable water in cauldrons
7. Potions in cauldrons
8. Recent editor mode which is 5x better than world edit
9. Less glitches when trying to do literally anything in the game (Java glitches alot)
10. Speed bridging is so much faster and alot easier
11. Menues look better than the stupid dirt texture
12. Our edition let's players play on their phone and Xbox (which are cross compatible with eachother)

@@ididsomeunspeakablethingsa4899 for me it make sense for java, because I think of redstone as some kind of elcetric signals, if it is, it make sense not to put in water, but it would be much usefull for creations if I could place them in water
@@Nell_Hell It's not that easy. Bedrock is coded in C++, while Java is, well, Java.
Some mechanics are different thanks to that.

The poisoned potato logic really surprised me, like it's a plant it should be bone meal-able.
One thing that you should have added in this video were the nice poses the armour stands have in bedrock. There are also baby squids, etc.

Java is more used for multiplayer, so it’s mechanics are a lot more useful for things like combat, stealth and defense.

I was going to say that I play on Bedrock Edition because of some mechanics or something, but I play on Pocket Edition which is much cheaper than Bedrock and Java.

Although I think it's unnecessary to have one version just for computer and one for everything else, it just gives Mojang more work that they could use to work on updates instead of putting the update on each version

both java and bedrock have things they are good and bad at, such as bedrock having a much better performance than java but java having consistent redstone
in my opinion java also has much higher quality mods than bedrock at the moment
as well as bedrock having much stronger cheats than in java such as editing a nbt of an item to make it be able to run commands to possibly permanently shut down a server
there are things i would like in java from bedrock though
such as being able to push blocks with items in them(chests, dispensers, ect) with pistons without mods

@@TONK_Loremaster no, they should take the good features from Java and bring them to bedrock and then discontinue java
@@hkgehts9061 but then that would kill many of the great mods on Java. Cause then they would have to start from scratch and remake their mods that they have spent years working on just so they can work in bedrock. Over all if you discontinue Java you effectively discontinue the development and improvement on mods like "just enough items", "create", "tinker's construct", etc.
@@explosivesraspberry6795 no, because you can continue to play on old versions of Java and they can continue updating the mods for old versions if they want... Many of them aren't updated to the latest version all the time anyway. And you can still play Java until they've been converted to bedrock

Tbh as a bedrock player I’d love to play Java editom but I don’t own a computer sadly, and plus I’ve tried the controls and they’re wonky to me, bedrock is more for realsticness and jabs is more for freedom. Which is why I’d rather get Java editon, but if you don’t wanna get a computer just for that get bedrock, there’s still cool kods for us to download on mobile
