    • @SharonLindleyVividDaysArt
      @SharonLindleyVividDaysArt  2 года назад +1

      Great question, these are not alcohol inks they are Resin pigments, as there is a concentrate colour in them it will hide any yellowing. Resin will always yellow but more visible if clear. They should hold up longer but I wouldn't be a forever item. I always keep baths to see how they cope over time and I will do a video showing people the reality of these products. Have a great week

    Beautiful! It's crazy because I'm actually working on some resin suncatchers now. Using a similar film too. But my question is, does the film you use have a sticky part to it? Did you pour the resin on to the sticky part? I'm amazed when you pulled the film off the resin, how the pattern stuck to the resin. I'm debating if I should pour the resin on top of the film I have but it's a bit on the thinner side. I'm scared the film might melt if it do. Any tips?? Beautiful end result!

    • @SharonLindleyVividDaysArt
      @SharonLindleyVividDaysArt  3 года назад

      It has a peel off back that is designed for window but its not sticky you have to make it damp the seal it to the window with suction. I needed to pour it onto it as i wanted the holographic image onto my Resin.

    Hi Sharon, new subscriber here. Your work is stunning. Just wondering some things please. Is that alcohol ink you are using? If so I have heard that the colours fade quite quickly. Have you had a problem with this with the sun catchers? Also where does one acquire the plastic window sheet (?) you put the resin on please? Can you use something else to get the same effect with the resin or does it only work with that special plastic window sheet? I'm sorry I don't recall what you called it at the time that I am writing this. Such beautiful work , I cannot wait to give this a go. I would be extremely grateful for any info you can provide! Thankyou!! 😁

      Hello and welcome, thank you so much for for your kind feedback. No I am using Resin Dye which responds similar to inks. Window sheets from Amazon. With the plastic backing , do the colours come from the actual pattern.?So the pattern then creates the colours on the resin? If you get what I mean?😳

      Karen yes the window film holographic film imprints onto your Resin and so doe the holographic pattern. The Prism comes from the window film, the colour comes from the Resin Dye. Hope that's makes sense and it answer you questions. Have a great week

    They look amazing, I would give a suggestion on using clear fishing line to hang them instead of the wire, then they would look like they are floating .

    What are these colors called and where do you buy them? Is there an AliExpress or Amazon? Thanks in advance for your reply.

    I mean no harm. But I think transparent fishing line to connect them would look better.
