I've always wanted to learn the right way to do fur for secondlife, I tried so many ways and sometimes it looks right and other times not fluffy enough haha, so this is very insightful! Thank you so much for sharing!!
This is so freaking adorable!!! And thank you so much for showing us how to do this!! Would this also work for the really flowy kind of fur? Like super soft long animal fur like you would see on a coat?
well, I think yes, but we need to experiment with the noise and I'd test it out, cuz I never made long fur. But for long fur I know for sure you'll need more fur layers.
Hello! This was so helpful, how does this work with huds though, taking that the different versions of the ears have different textures, would you use 2 different scripts in 1 button in your hud so that they change at the same time ?
I hope you can help me. When I do this, sometimes all the layers in the world disappear except the opaque layer and the last one. Do you know how I could fix this? ty ♥

Hello, can you link the artstation fur for those who want to get it ?
This SecondLife stuff still exists?! Woha! I tried this 20 years ago and it was ... well ... you know. 😀
thank you so much for this tutorial, for larger items like sweaters, would you do only a few layers due to the higher polygons from adding the layers?
usually 3 layers for mask and 1 for opaque :)
@@Ichuly thank you! I was able to almost get it how I want it following your tutorial, ty soooooo much, please keep these amazing tutorials coming!!!
thanks you
Hey, where did I find the material you used for the base texture of the ear?
Hello! This was so helpful, how does this work with huds though, taking that the different versions of the ears have different textures, would you use 2 different scripts in 1 button in your hud so that they change at the same time ?
I use PXL script and I assign two different textures for the same button

yes, you need to do fur exactly like me in the video. one link, different faces, all go in order from 1 being 30% opacity and 5 80%, for example
@@Ichuly tyvm ♥♥
Can you please add a link of the fur material for people that wanna buy it ?
Hi :) see description
Is it an unrigged product ?
it's rigged for GENUS heads, but can fit some other mesh heads after shape tweaking a bit
