As a long term watch collector, the bvlgari octo finissamo is going to be watch icon. In an industry now which has so many design styles and creations, they have produced a watch in design which has not been done before along with the thinnest watch ever to be produced is truly remarkable. It will sit along side the Cartier Tank, Rolex oyster case, AP royal oak as a distinguished watch icon. I have been wearing Bvlgari B zero rings for many many years now so I have always noticed their watches. The octo and the aluminum range (especially at that price point) have always stood out to me and this finissamo is no exception. So much so that when my AD showed me one of the very first interations in grey dial on bracelet I was truly blown over with the thinnest, I couldn't resist. I am happy to say I have enjoyed mine for many man years now. Congratulations on your purchase, and wear it in good health bro.
In fairness to AP, you always hear people saying that they are just the Royal Oak company. However, they had many beautiful pieces in the Jules Audemars collection that no one bought. Heck even the Edward(sp?) Piguet had some cool pieces as well. The (re)issue was awesome too. Just because people only want what they see other people have doesn't mean the maison hasn't offered the pieces.
Fantastic choice! I bought this one at the beginning of the year. Love the stealth look and the fact it is full ceramic means you will always have a brand new watch! I get a lot of compliments and questions, especially that it’s ultra-thin, it’s a real conversation piece! With the Octo range Bulgari managed to find a solid spot in the high-end range of watchmaking. I bought mine pre-owned which saved me some serious dollars! Brave to buy this one at the boutique, but I think it’s a future classic that will go up in value. The ceramic skeleton is very rare and not easy to find. Although not limited edition, I was told only very small number have been produced. Enjoy wearing this piece of art on your wrist!😎

The Octofinissimo is the future of watches . It got me the most amount of compliments from girls surprisingly! More than my Royal Oak in yellow gold . They think it's so stylish , unique and bold . Personally , it's my favorite watch among the 5712 and 15202 . So comfortable.

I share similar story at purchasing my ceramic skeleton Octo as this watch was not in stock and I almost pulled trigger on the chrono. As soon as I saw a photo of this watch I changed my mind and ordered this watch. Felt was a risky move to pay significantly more for a watch that I haven't seen in the flesh, but your video content conformed I made the right choice. Ps the ad offered a 10% discount.

I tried this yesterday, and wow this is my next watch. Btw, I currently own a steel Octo Finissimo (blue dial). The only thing I wish for is micro adjustments on the bracelet...it's either too tight or too loose.

I just bought the rose gold finissimo for 40% off retail from the grey market. I think this watch will be worth a lot more in ten plus years so it was a no brainer, however, I bought it because it is an absolute stunner and is sexy AF! It is on its way to being a true blue chip icon.

I totally agree with you with another downturn in the Watch market. The economic climate is going to get worse. I have gone through 2 recessions while being a watch collector and consumers will switch to more lower priced or away from the hype models and brands. Hype prices will tumble, it is only natural that this will happen and consumers will not be paying the hyped prices when their mortgages are doubled or their wages reduced or dont go as far. Dealers, collectors and flippers will always have different views on this. I am a collector, so watches are not an investment, just purchase what you like within your means

As a young man in his 20s and getting a first and only one. Would you recom Rolex Sub or VC Overseas Stainless? To me its hard cause I know the sub is most copied watch with fakes etc and a lot of people owing one. the overseas and vc is not talked about that much. i like the sub for being very durable, at the moment I am looking at the vacheron constantin overseas and for some reason that watch is calling my name. I have a pretty active lifestyle so a durable and versatile watch would be ideal. I like VC cause its not recognized by many people and only a few will know that brand compared to like rolex, ap, patek. I feel like wearing a rolex draws unesscary attention to me since its to most well known / popular luxury brand out there.
I have a real yen for the Octo, but like you I feel the range almost has too much choice. That RM is a clownshow imho. Also you and Watch Gringa agree about the dip in prices, don't fall for the suckers rally, prices will drop further.

You do not have to buy new watch just so that you can record something, like London Watch Collector who did not post a video for 5 months. But make some new content out of nothing, talking about watch photos or something.
