It happens in real life too. I've been to a live boxing fight where this guy was DOMINATING the ENTIRE FIGHT! Well, the last round came and his opponent hit him with 1 lucky punch with about 1 min left in the last round. The guy who was dominating the entire fight got KTFO! It happened so fast that so many people missed it just by blinking or looking away from the ring lmfao! The minigame in this game is good. My only complaint right now is the power punch spamming which literally ruins the gaming experience. That's what truly needs to be fixed.

Sounds like a glitch they need to patch. I believe they added that option and forgot to add the mechanics of the courage attribute. KO on a 96 courage is crazy.
Yea that shit is horrible online. They throw nothing but power punches as soon as you get close to them. I always beat them because I just step away when they load up and after a few rounds they quit. But the stamina when throwing power shots should be reduced.
You mean how you can throw as many power punches as you want with no stamina drain? I've watched many streams of this game and people just spam heavy shots because even when your stamina is low you can still spam heavy shots and they count the same as if you have full stamina which it clearly shouldn't. Tired people heavy shots aren't rhe same a fresh people heavy shots
The only nit picky option i wish they had was an option to increase menu text size... I'm sure it's fine sitting at a PC but my 30 year old eyes be SQUINTING on career mode with my TV across the room lol
@youngmelo3717 the TV in my living room is about 9-12 feet from my couch lol. It's pretty common actually. I don't have a gaming room or a TV in my bedroom. Just a Playstation set up in the living room so the family can watch Netflix and such when I'm at work.
Turning off the mini game works perfectly for me since I too suffer from cerebral palsy and then also because I have the dual edge controller I was able to change the buttons and put the power modifier on the left hand with either the body modifier or the block button

Being that they have no active referee in the ring while the boxers are fighting in a so-called authentic boxing simulation, a great alternative would’ve been the camera angle, actually looking out the referees eyes to make up for the immersion, breaking decision to take the referee out…. I remember playing it when they had the referee and I said on my Facebook once I saw they added Richard Steele. I knew it was going to be a problem because I played it when they had a referee and it worked great and it had clenching, as soon as they added Richard still in we get these loading screens, 1998, counting with the knockdowns can’t clinch, etc. etc. they literally could’ve just left the generic referee!
It’s weird there isn’t an adjustment for the screen… on my small tv that I usually game on it’s expanded and I need to shrink it a hair… most games usually have that setting but I couldn’t find it… thanks great video btw
I found even if turned off when playing offline you still need after selecting fighters to choose Automatic for getting up,also you really should select 1.0 for round length to have true 3 min rounds as you and others are all on 1.5 for 2 min rounds which is not realistic. It is a pity you have to do your settings every time for offline as far as round length,damage,stamina etc because there is no way of applying them to be fixed.
As much as the computer gets up, you would think that would be the best option is to turn the mini game off 🥊 they need to give us the same energy. They give the computer because they get up multiple times 😂

1st five boxing matches I've played got me pissed. My bro spamming hundreds of missed power punches wit zero stamina while I'm clearly boxing his head off and he still getting the wins.
The issue is that I hate the mini game but if you don’t use it, it’ll let you up about 3 times at the most. With mini game, I’ve gotten up 6 times in lots of matches. They punish you for NOT using it. They should just remove it completely. It was a bad idea for a boxing game marketed as a “sim”.
In the video, he said that the automatic get up is supposed to be stat based, but when he tried it with Ali, (who has a 96 courage) he did not get up even after getting knocked down only once.

Don't listen to the haters, if you're a fan of boxing, you'll love this game. I picked it up on Tuesday, haven't put it down, the fighting mechanics are phenomenal. It's the most realistic boxing game ever, career mode is very deep. I had a fight against Joe Joyce go the distance last night, end in a draw, it was amazing.

If I owned the game I would 100% play with you and use legitimate boxing style. I've been following its development since the original announcement trailer as ESBC - but I'm waiting until the first patch to hit (The devs are working on a balancing patch especially in relation to power punching & have said they're looking to resolve this all before the official launch). Once that happens, if general sentiment in the community seems to be positive, I'll buy the game immediately and give you fair fights :D
