Despite being formed in the Second World War, the SAS as we know them today came into their own in the 1980s following their exposure to the world during the Iranian Embassy Siege of 1980.
The men who make up the SAS go through extensive training in almost every form of warfare that can be thought up of from foreign weapons handling to deep sea diving. Men regularly perish while undergoing the training.

SAS + MP5 + black flight suit = iconic
Look like Mute, Smoke, Sledge and Thatcher (SAS and MI6 agents in Rainbow6Siege Tom Clancy's) R6 agents.
@@imperium5195 I wonder why.
@@bmtsings4843 Me too 🤔🧐??
No I know I wanted to say "Like" and not "look like".
Yeah

"Who dares, wins" I always loved the SAS motto. Words to love by

A motto that motivates.
Extremely HFY
The scene at 1:26 is pure SAS, fully mag dumping anything that is a threat. Could be the mock shoot house they used to mimic the embassy before the hostage rescue. Basically the treatment that one of the terrorists got when trying to sneak out with the hostages and attempting to detonate a grenade. SAS push him down the stairs and 2 SAS mag dump him, so 50-60 rounds easily in a matter of seconds into this guy.
better to pump lead to make sure its dead and will lay dead
78 rounds according to the pathologist report. After that they stopped counting as it was no longer practical.
@@James-C24 where can one find the pathologist report? as a physical copy? or is there an online scan?
@@dalenixon6981 i only know because it was mentioned in rusty firmins book. I will have a look if their is a copy in there.
@@James-C24 Thanks for getting back to me. Is it Go! Go! Go! by Rusty Firmins?
Never get's old, thank you MajorSamm
You could watch a documentary and put music over it and achieve the same effect.
@@Ac22768 where’s the documentary? Do you have the link? I can’t find this Documentory
@@tfblack4339 I’m also looking for it
@@mrwilliams1908 eah, bro. Looks like everyone say about something “Documentary” but no one told you what is it! Everything I find is not including shots from this video
@@Ac22768yes and? I don’t see you doing it.
Edit it good enough and I’ll subscribe to you instead of pissing and moaning.
Felt cute might free hostages from the Iranian embassy later.
Anyway a great video as always, a great addition to the library of top tier content.

Good showing as always, excited for the doc. Have been seriously admiring the work ethic and tenacity of the special forces in the past few years
We had a Trooper attached to us in Belfast in 1994, he was the training NCO on the range days and close combat training. A great lad, made range days ultra interesting firing AKs, MP5K, HK53, shotguns and getting his hands on the HK flash bangs! I can honestly say that instead of the drudge of range days, I loved going every two weeks. Best days when he had the use of civilian cars, and we'd drive into the 'Hollow' in Ballykinler shooting through the windows, pulling up, getting out and moving forward to the targets firing away! Great days!
If he was an NCO then he wasn't a Trooper ja bellend
All we had was a pipe range
Here is the loser who is desperate for likes and makes up stories on youtube.
Another banger, well done Major Samm. Old school SAS is a vibe.
You should consider an Iran-Iraq War video if you haven't already. I think a lot of people would appreciate that.
Made me think of the Selous scouts in Rhodesia back in the early eighties..... Great job as usual MakorSamm!!
A video on the Sealous Scouts would be great to see!
Spelling check, bro.....
Selous Scouts, men of steal, the best of the best....... Ever......

MajorSamm at it again!! Thanks for posting mate!
Again a welldone video. Thanks for your work Major.
Back at it again, good work lad!
Nicely made love the footage
SAS the name itself enough to prove its braveheartness 👑
Thanks MajorSamm. I've always been fascinated by the SAS ever since I saw them on the BBC news back in 1980 when I was a kid.
Simply the best in the business
The SAS wrote the rules, the rest of the world just followed.
Would be a perfect recruitment ad, even nowadays 👌🏽
I was thinking about the Situation in the embassy and how traumatizing and brutal must be to be hostage, not knowing what the hell is going to happen and suddenly the door Is kicked, enters SAS, sprays bullets and takes you out, all in seconds. You heart must be pumping so hard you think It could explode... Great video, as always.
That browning auto 5 at 0:48 is really cool to see
another W piece of content
Please make one of the 1986 Miami FBI shooting. There’s a lot of great online video references and it was taken right out of a movie
Excited for the upcoming doc
Amazing video as always!
Hello Samm, so good to see you again! ✌️
Absolute banger Samm, keep it up 👍
Oh man, this is cool, where did you find the footage?
Proud to be a member of this community
you are part of the SAS?
@J R What boathouse?
@@ej4458 He probably meant part of Major Samm's community.
Fuark bro this music video is a work of art! Perfectly encapsulates the vibe of the SAS. Perfection !
Awesome video. I like how they taught them to use a wide array of weapons from Nato and Communist countries. I have heard about their infamous live fire hostage rescue drills but it is so cool to actually see it.
Brilliant motivation video.
One of the best yet
Thank Mr. Samm
My favorite character when playing as CT in CS 1.6. Fun times. Never know they're real thing until highschool. Their motto inspired me until now.
A stone cold classic
Honestly none of us can truly imagine how hardcore these men really are...
Everyone has a limit some guys mind give up and some guys body give up only few people in this world have capablity to deal with both
Knew a few,our regiment was the 2nd highest feeder reg after the paras.
FAL's, M16's, Sterling's, god the 80's where good
And also Type 56
Excellent ! Just like how it was
Thank you majorsamm awesome video
My new favourite MajorSamm video
Great video
The SAS, the only group where it’s less likely you’ll die in actual combat than in training.
JTF2 Canadian tier 1 unit never lost an operator after 20+ years of combat. They also have the world record for the longest sniper confirmed kill.

These vids are bangers. I know you’ve already done some on PD. But An EMS vid would be cool, especially considering the trials of 2020. Shout out to fire too. A lot of intensity despite no weapons or explosions (most of the time!).
great as allways
nice video with another banger
I came for the massive 80s SF gringo taches, and I was not disappointed.
Well done this video is great
Loved the clip from Operation Nimrod
Yes.
I'll be in heaven when you'll post about the French RAID or GIGN.
Would love that shit
This man got me wanting to join the British Army
I recommend watching interviews with Iraq and Afghanistan veterans before you make such a decision.
Many came back with PTSD and others committed suicide.
These slick and edited videos make it look amazing but the reality is different.

Currently enjoying Charlie Beckwith's memoir. After getting over the culture shock, he enjoyed his time with the Regiment. He makes some interesting comparisons between the SAS and the Green Berets.
Ah, he's back.

I watched the “Princess Gates” operation on TV as a kid. I was hooked. I became a Commando years later.
Footage can be found on youtube. Yes he has covered that conflict.
Back when men were still men. I miss these days.
Note the MP5A3s used have old school scopes that have long been phased out in favor of red dot sights and ACOGs, This was the 1980s so optics were limited choice.
It’s a torch for shooting in low-light cqb ops, not a scope
Top 3 requirements on joining the S.A.S is the 1980s
1, Mustache
2, Military Experience
3. Fitness / mental robustness.
Seus vídeos são muitos bons.
At 45 seconds the officer looks like Clint Eastwood's British doppelganger "Clinton Eastwoodington IV, Heir to the Earldom of Fordhamington"
Oh my stars....lads....that sterling smg😍😍😍😍
I’m a joiner but the guy I had my apprenticeship with told me a story of how years ago he worked at some guys house doing bits and bobs and my friend used to run a surplus shop so he knows a thing or too about military stuff, anyways he noticed on the wall photos of the pink panther land rovers and sas related medals so he asked the guy “are you ex SAS” and this other guy turned around and said “I was in the army” and stared at my friend until he kept quiet, very secretive and very clever men
Peak special forces aesthetic.
