Thank you very much Anurag Sir. I was able to get Trial License and Follow many tutorials to learn RF and Systemvue software. And also re-learn many concepts used along the years. It was of great value during this period.
Wonderful job Anurag! Please keep this up! I have a few questions and very much appreciate your help. To run HDL code we should have ModelSim Questo tool (even though you don't need to do HDL simulation) shouldn't we? I can create the modulator in Simulink, use HDL coder to generate the HDL code and use that here. Do we still we need Questa? Last question, I also know SystemVue (SV) design can be used inside Matlab as an engine. Assume I want to use SV Spectrasys for the RF TX and RX designs and signal processing in Matlab/Simulink/FPGA. Also assuming HDL code has been implemented in an FPGA, which way would run faster, running this from SV or from Matlab? Thank you!
Hi Janaka, I am not sure what do you mean by "even though you don't need to do HDL simulation"? For any block containing HDL code, we need to run HDL simulation and that is why you need an HDL simulation engine and in our case it is Questa. Yes, SV can be used inside Matlab environment but I haven't compared simulation speed but I would imagine it won't be too different as we also use Matlab engine behind the scene to process any .m code you write so that processing should take same amount of time but I haven't tested it myself. Choice of bringing Matlab to SVue or vice-versa depends on user's preference, there are some set of designers who may want to be inside SVue environment if they are more concerned working with RF designs and at the same time we may have few designers who wish to stay inside Matlab environment and mostly those are Baseband level users needing to work more on fine tuning the code for system performance. I have no benchmark to compare simulation speed if HDL is involved in both cases as I do not have all the licenses to even try the same....😊
@@BhargavaAnurag Thanks again for your reply Anurag! In Simulink we can compare the simulation results of the Simulink model and HDL model. Once they are compatible we just need to use it with SystemVue. In this case it is not essential to have another HDL simulator. However, without specifying Questa in the path can we use this HDL design with SVue?
I don't understand your question hence can't provide any answers...😊 Note that SystemVue is a system level design tool so not necessarily you will find circuit components such as diode here. If you need component level design then use software like Keysight ADS.
I’m trying to build an RTD Oscillator (Resonant Tunneling Diode) and RTD Detector. I think I have to use X-parameters and Circuit_Link in RF Design, but it's quite complicated. Would it be better to build the circuit in ADS and then export it to SystemVue to work with it as an ADS Box, or should I complete the entire design in SystemVue? best regards
Thank you Anurag for the series, very well designed, brief and to the point.
Glad you liked it

Hi Kanwalpal, I am glad it was helpful to you. Help me to spread the word in your known forums or contacts...!!
Thank you. Please could you do a design of a VCO Oscillator in ADS for high frequency application
Its not in the plan for near future but I will reach there eventually.
@@BhargavaAnurag okk, thank you

I have a problem to create an RTD diode and I dont find any type of diodes or transistor ??
Thanx

very nice
Nice work. Can you also share phased array simulations in systemvue too
Yes, soon
could you do antenna design CST or HFSS, then use the antenna design in system vue
Hi, Yes...you could bring in the radiation pattern from HFSS, CST, EMPro or measurements into SystemVue.
@@BhargavaAnurag could you make a video about it
@@ltteogoali7251 Yes, we will do that once we start Phased Array system design soon...!! Stay tuned...
