    Am I understanding it correctly that for the equation for determining transverse reinforcing you use the center line of that transverse reinforcement to determine area and for longitudinal reinforcement equation you use the outer edge of the transverse reinforcement to determine area?

      To determine the longitudinal torsion reinforcement the formula includes ph, which is the perimeter of the center line of transverse reinforcement.

    Instead of providing only the corner bars can I provide reinforcing bars in the inner side as well? will that be able to resist the applied torsion?
