How can Modi keep him away from cabinet post. He has so much of clarity of work in his mind. More then he is a great economist + nationalist. This combination is almost impossible in today's time.

Single Dimensional materialistic society is the reason for the current situation of the society at large globally and India specially. What we need to cultivate is "Simple living and high thinking".
Dr Swamy needs to be made the Prime Minister of India. The post of FM is too less challenge for such a great soul of India. The salaried class should be on the forefront to push for this initiative.

Why should my legitimate money be handed over to the govt. of India under the fourth method? That will put the onus of showing the money's source on me, for which as an NRI, I will have to unnecessarily deal with the Indian tax authorities, which I am sure will not be a smooth experience.

The only way to bring back black money is to let them surrender voluntarily under utmost secrecy. Make them pay flat 30% tax on the money they bring back and they must keep that money into Indian banks from there on, that way it will help Indian banks to lend that amount to startups and also boost housing market. Congress BJP both has crooks...accept it and give them best solution.
the average indian makes only about 2 to 3 dollars a day. when is india going to come up with a national living wage legislation ? it is almost 70 years since india got independence. even today india can not provide its population with 24 hour clean water or electricity. we call ourself the largest democracy in the world. is there rule of law in india ? think about it. go to mumbai and see how many people sleep on the side walk or live in the slums. what is the govt doing about it ? i can write so many other things.think about it.
He is a brilliant guy, no doubt, well educated and well informed. But he is just a lot of talk no action and hence "no use". He has never taken anything he commented on, complained on, and/or taken to the court all the way to the end. Do not tell me that he does not have enough support to get this done. Like the Senior Officers he has mentioned, how much was offered to him and how much he took to keep mouth shut? Is he saying that getting information from the 70 countries will be easy and he is mentioning that the fourth method like the American method is a preferred one? In America, recently New York issued $15,600 worth of cheques to illegal immigrants who lost their jobs due to COVID. This is when many legal tax payers are still looking for their tax refunds to hit their accounts. America cannot get the names of the individuals who got the cheques from New York as New York can withhold this information (Federal Government cannot force the State Government to do it, and if they want to do it some Constitutional changes need to happen for which each of the State Government has to agree (at least 38 out of the 50 States have to agree to such a change). Please note that there are more than 38 Red (Republican) states in the USA but just because these are Red states it does not mean they will now go against the Democratic Government to vote for the Constitutional changes thus making it a cumbersome process). Do not follow anything from USA is my advice. Also, all these four methods he is mentioning all have a loophole that the criminals can escape (laws are generally written with holes to be circumvented by the rich and the powerful). Wasn't he the Minister or Commerce and Industry and then Minister of Law and Justice and is he saying that when he was the minister there was no black money invested outside India? Now he wants the power for two months to bring all the information out? What is it? One Day Chief Minister like movie attempt? He wants to get things done taking them to the Supreme Court? Ask him to take something against Hindus to the Supreme Court and they will act immediately otherwise Supreme Court of India is totally useless as it is in the hands of the wealthy who run the Government.
People after a tiresome and misrule by congress gave BJP a big mandate which it has belied and precious time lost and it missed the bus!instead of resorting to foolish steps like demonetisation, a chaotic GST and dabbling with constitutional bodies like RBI,CBI,Planning commission UGC, ....!it could have instituted 1) lokpal to bring down corruption and on the plank it has been.voted to.power! 2) brought judicial reforms 3) electoral reforms 4) police reforms 5) implement DR.swaminathan report for farmers!....why& how do people remember PV now after 25 years only because of the economic reforms he boldly brought about!BJP could have learnt a lesson from recent history .Instead it's leaders were busy in mudslinging , clearing skeletons from their cupboards of their past political career!

His Bernie Madoff vs Satyam Raju is not entirely correct. It is true Madoff is still in prison but many of his relatives are enjoying his wealth. He ran a Ponzi Scheme worth $60B and if you want to know, there are several senators and congressmen involved in that scheme benefiting from that. What is the use of giving a 150 years jail sentence to a person who was then 78 years old (are they going to find him in his next birth and continue the jail sentence?). I am not saying what they did with Satyam Raju is correct, but please do not create an impression that everything is happening properly in the USA. With Madoff what happened to the $60B and how many of the affected (when you look at it all the greedy investors deserve to lose which is something of a different issue)? Is anyone in the USA talking about Madoff any more? No. Do you know why? Look at the year 2008 and what happened!!!! Economic collapse, a bigger line drawn by the US Government to make the $60B line smaller, the typical USA way of making people forget some issues. US people have very small window of remembering things. Once the economic collapse happened affecting so many innocent, law abiding, clean individuals, they totally forgot about Madoff. Corruption in the US is worse than India but it happens only at the top level and since the people get all the basic necessities delivered without stoppage, they generally do not complain, a situation totally opposite of what happens in India. During this economic collapse, companies like GM (whose executives came to Washington DC in Private jets to ask for bailout, it is like a beggar coming in a Mercedes), Goldman Sachs, JP Morgan etc. and a company called State Street Bank (custodian for several trillion dollars of investments), a company very small compared to the Goldman Sachs or Morgan Stanley or a JP Morgan or a CItigroup or Bank Of America, tool $2B bailout just to be looked at the same level as the other biggies. So many $400M or $300M money were given to green starters. Most of the companies do not exist any more. They all filed for Chapter 11 (so that they can re-emerge in a different name) while investing all this money borrowed in mansions in Florida and other places (please notice that your primary residence will not be taken away when you file for Bankruptcy and hence they all kept their big water view Mansions) and many of them are re-emerging asking for more stimulus money. Folks, USA is not any better than India when it comes to Corruption. At least in India who ever you are, you can get things done if you have money as Corruption is formalized in India, but in the USA, you have to be a lobbyist or someone very close to a Senator or a Congressman to get things done.
