why do you hate it? I think it's a good way of getting new fans and keeping the old. Who would ever want to jump into a franchise in the middle of the story and being told: "haha.. you have to play ALL the old games if you want to understand shit" now you can enjoy an AC for it's concepts, but full with hints about what main story is. The players curiosity is tested. It is up to the players if they want to investigate more or not.
Thats is true. But ubisoft acts like the present day does not exist. They don't even comment on it for harecore fans, the need to stop neglecting the IRL storyline.
acts as it doesn't exist? The whole plot point of every single AC game til this date (not included ds Altair, haven't played those) roams around peaces of eden. They just don't simple force the present day in peoples faces any more. I think the main structure in every ac game is that the player re-lives a historical period through the animus. I'm guessing they want the players to jump over the "boring part" and go directly to the "fun part". To me it seams like they want the present day to be the McGufifin of the story. It's the small hints to the player: There is something strange here. But they are trying not to force it, because part of the fun is researching and discovering it. I think the main problem with that approach is that a lot of fans might be confused because it's so easy to miss some clues and information, that should have obvious to find, to understand the overall story
I both agree and disagree, I think Desmonds story was meant to end the way it did. I guess the big question was: Continue with a new main character and not? but yes, I agree that what you said might be the case of the change in the story structure in the games. To me this only proofs that the movie makers, listens to all their fans, and they've found a middle ground to settle on
this is great guys...i really like this.....i am a big fan of AC but i dont have the time or interest to go through all of this web site,so i really apreciate what you guys are doing,,,keep them coming
SuperSaiyan3985 i already have one, i even "played" it when it first came out, but im not into that, i want the info like this, in a video and a time line where i can just sit and listen to it like a movie ;)
Here's a question, why is the MAIN story of the franchise playing second fiddle to all of these pointless trips back in time?! Enough with the random historical settings already! They made sense originally but Unity had little to nothing to do with the present-day storyline and was just an excuse to set Assassin's Creed during the famous French Revolution! Give us a game set entirely in the present following the Initiates (maybe with a few trips back in time) and start wrapping up this story! The fact that I now have to look up online what's actually happening in the story instead of being directly informed through the main campaign of the games is ridiculous!
+shoogamoogaman AC 1 - They need to follow altair memories because the Specific memory about the location of Apple of Eden is not Accessable without Syncing (by following Altair memory from the place where that accessable) AC 2 - Desmond Miles need to learn how to become an Assassin so they visit Ezio memory of him Training to become an Assassin AC B - Same as AC 1, need to sync memory to know the location of Appel of Eden AC R - Desmond miles is stuck because Altair-Ezio-Desmond miles Memory is jumbled up, Desmond need to see what his ancestors have to show in order to get back up AC 3 - Desmond need to find a key, visit Connor need to sync to find the key location AC 4 - You worked for Abstergo to collect data about the "Pirate Era" but actually they want you to collect data about the Grand Temple by sync with Edward memory haven't played the rest lol, but i assume it all the same, they need to sync the memory with the ancestor to find that specific memory about Piece of eden location or something else
In AC Blackflag you work for abstergo to collect data for "a game" they are making... in fact they are seeking out the sage, some bloke with loads of ancient dna in his body. In AC Unity you are working with the assassins i believe and youre in paris because they believe arno came in contact with a sage whose body they want to reach before abstergo does.. i think its a fair connection, these games like the big historical periods, hence italy, the crusades, the american revolution and now the french revolution
and there are a few cry baby dumbasses who don't like the modern day part of the game. I love the modern day part and wish there was more of it like a more equal ratio of animus and modern day. But I guess the game will get way too long and too much to produce onto a disc if there was the usual animus stuff plus all that modern day added on top.
Because it's not supposed to be? It's meta to right now, OUR modern day - day by day. So this already all happened when it did. The games are already caught up. Example. All this happened before the release of Unity. So this all takes place before Unity. It can't be released in a game afterwards. It's called transmedia / meta storytelling.
I think its enough of the faceless storyless Abstergo Lackeys doing research , i think its time for another Desmond Miles .. damn i miss the good modern day story :P Yea we learn a lot of information through hacking and and repairing cores , but still at least give them a name and a face :) :) PS: This video is great , its really informative for those who hand't read up yet on the modern day story ;P
Nicely done putting all the present day events from ACI together before Ubi shut it down to upgrade. Now put juicy parts together like Haytham, Dead Letters, Abstergo etc.
1:40 - 1:58 wait a minute if Minerva had found a way to save the world but that would include releasing Juno, why didn't get a couple of guards together to watch her so Juno wouldn't be able to escape. instead she damned the world and her people to utter destruction.
Thanks, thanks so much to put this together, didnt had a chance to look into that whole initiates rhing, but now.... very interesting how the story is turning. Thanks Again!
I must admit I give my respect to this and others die-hard true fans of AC Universe. I myself are an AC Fan but only true to the game's storylines only since 2007. I'm always filled with knowledge of the gaps in the series and even behind-the-series because of TRUE AC FAN. Thank you.
what do you mean by throwing it away? *sigh* i guess another person that didnt play rogue. there are tons of information about modern day templars there and you get to meet one of the modern day templar masters
Deji D They should start setting the games in present day and follow the initiates, rather than needlessly recreating the French Revolution just because they haven't done it before!
Actually, ac black flag and unity are important to the modern story because the guy you control is the new assassin spy. We also learn of the sage and shit
Also, at present day, some assassins (or one assassin) in Chicago hired someone to KNOCK DOWN (I don't understand why I'm so furious about this, maybe some of the Watch_Dogs players understand) the CCO of Abstergo Entertainment, Olivier Garneau. And the one being hired, his name is Aiden Pearce. So, as a conclusion, I wouldn't be surprised if they actually will make a game called Assassin's Creed: Watch_Dogs. But in the mean time, I don't think UbiSoft would do that.
The Brotherhood will rise as we always have...we have fallen from power so many times but thanks to good leadership and strength in numbers we rise each time Nothing is true Everything is Permitted
You lot are awesome, thanks for going through all that hard work to do this video. I wanted to find out my self but the AC Initiates page is currently unavailable... Thank you!
You know, as the games come, we are closer and closer to modern time. Now the next game will be on the XIX century, and one time or another an assassin will be named Miles. I'm actually thrilled by this thought.
Whoa. I must say, The story was pretty well-thought out. A bit far-fetch but it was very intriguing. After all the assassin's had accomplish so much from the past, The templars gained an upper hand in the modern times. Placing Politicians who had connection to the templars to key positions, ordering the military to raid out the hidden assassin order. This getting juicier. I can feel it. I wonder if in AC unity might give the modern assassin to fight back.
Abstergo Entertainment Montreal... Why does that ring a bell... Wait! Ubisoft Montreal! What if Ubisoft is really Abstergo and just covering it up by selling video games based on their Animus research! #illimuninaticonfirmed
I followed initiates really alot, not alot of people know of initiates back then only dedicated ac fans know. I have followed it since before ac3 until desmond dies, and follows it a bit after that but it's really weird after that, i havent been visiting initiates for a while now.
If anyone didn't know all this information can be found on AC Initiates (currently in BETA) and the Present day has been developing on this website for the past 3 years, so your a little slow if you've just found this out.

On Rogue there are only 6 sequences but least naval and side missions will keep you busy, but modern day like black flag is back and according to comments it seems abstergo employee (you) has a more important role to play this time instead of just hacking and being a mole. After a slight Desmond "this is my story" style speech you get thrown in as Shay the assassin chasing your close friend (same sort of first mission on black flag). On Unity it has 12 sequences but didn't want to look further down the list to see what modern day there (achievement lists can have spoilers) but getting into the game the shock I had was OMG I'm glad Ubisoft kept that quiet, you guys have to find out for yourselves ;)
Eurdito is The Initiates. In AC3 they proved Abstergo's true intensions useing their advertisments and they said they were going to disrupt their system to make sure the Templars do not take control. Note the red background at the end of the video.

We only see them mentioned like in emails and in Liberation and the facebook project legacy game but I been thinking surely Abstergo servers aren't easy to hack remotely and cover their tracks to not be traced and in the legacy game Giovanni Borgia became possessed by a first civ and called himself the erudite god and Juno had the power to contact desmond through email so maybe Erudito is Juno or another first civ
Awesome video. Though I hope this isn't all fan fiction. Is it? Is it Ubisoft whatever. The writer or whatever has quite the imagination if so. Should write a book
I really think somehow Watch Dogs' story connects to post-Desmond storyline. Like all that technology and shit going on and our dude trying to stop it. Dedsec and whatever all these things that control people's lives and shit maybe Juno's doing something with'em. Or ya know pieces of eden making that much technology possible to happen. Also the hacking thing with Abstergo sounds very strange. Well hacking after all is a thing we are familiar with... in Watch Dogs. I really believe that Watch Dogs' is in the same universe as Assassin's Creed for a reason.
While I really appreciate you guys for gathering this information for us, could you use a narrator with a clearer pronounciation? English isn't my first language and there are some parts which are hard to understand and I had to repeat it several times to catch what he's saying. Or is it just me? But other than that, great job!
How did you get these servalience videos? I got onto the initiates website last night for the 1st time and ddnt see anything about them and yes i realize thats spelled wrong
I've been wondering this for awhile. I heard that before Unity was being released they were releasing all of this info. I wish they'd add a modern day character so we can experience this awesome story in the game.
Did I miss something in one of the games, I didn't think the Isu "came to Earth" they were just a very advanced pre-Human race that created human's to be their labor force. If they came to Earth from somewhere else why didn't they still have the technology to build some sort of spaceflight capable ships and just leave before the solar flare hit?
the chinese dude with the sword is the guy from sleeping dogs and when they said the system was hacked its from watch dogs ubisoft put great things together!!
I was wondering what had happened to desmonds dad william miles and how he felt about his sons death and what he was willing to do about it since he relates to thee assassins from the previous games.
What about the new Abstergo employee you control in the modern day in Black Flag? Do you control him again in Rogue? If so, that means that one of the Assassin's newest initiates has infiltrated the Templar Order itself.
I honestly think Desmond is still Alive, They, Desmond and the decedent of Eve, will join together to defeat Juno. They are the only ones in the world to save us from Juno's wrath since they are the first "HYBRIDS"
ubisoft better clear up what happened to desmond. i know that abstergo found his body and did an autopsy and all that other shit, but some people speculate that desmond used the apple to clone himself, so the body they did an autopsy on was the clone and that des is just floating around doing stuff.
I wonder where all of this story came from, is this what we will hear once we get AC Unity? I hope so cause AC4 or Black Flag though a very fun game wasn't big on filling us in on the story line though there were some very interesting tid bits hear & there. I hope to hear more.
They need to do an AC game focused on the present or future (but with real assassins, not some Desmond-like lame guy, and they could add flashbacks of the 1st assassins and when it all began
Ok.... I think my mind just exploded a little bit with all that information...
It's so weird that Ubisoft is being so subtle about the present day...
YES I hate it
why do you hate it? I think it's a good way of getting new fans and keeping the old. Who would ever want to jump into a franchise in the middle of the story and being told: "haha.. you have to play ALL the old games if you want to understand shit"

vids like this is why i love youtube. I wasn't aware that i missed so much backstory in AC. the only game i didn't play was AC liberation.
Here's a question, why is the MAIN story of the franchise playing second fiddle to all of these pointless trips back in time?!

Wow, this stuff was pretty cool. So, WHY NOT INCLUDE STUFF LIKE THIS IN THE GAMES, UBISOFT!?
and there are a few cry baby dumbasses who don't like the modern day part of the game. I love the modern day part and wish there was more of it like a more equal ratio of animus and modern day. But I guess the game will get way too long and too much to produce onto a disc if there was the usual animus stuff plus all that modern day added on top.
multisturge A 50/50 ratio is a bit much, but I am in favor of more modern-day stuff, like for example a cohesive story.
I guess, ok 60/40, to me animus and modern day seems abit 90/10, maybe 80/20 atm
Because it's not supposed to be? It's meta to right now, OUR modern day - day by day. So this already all happened when it did. The games are already caught up. Example. West Breden Uh, they could have told some of this in the modern day of Black Flag and Unity, and then continue it from there.

***** I do understand what that means im just saying its more interesting like it was with Desmond
Vasko H-Elenov more like we need Desmond back.
I think that is Layla's role in Origins. I think Layla is our new Desmond.
WOW, great video, a lot of information about the present day after the Desmond's death. I can't for what's next in AC Unity ^^
that was a lot of information ! but my god, i love it ! i knew some of the detail and now it all made sense !
Nicely done putting all the present day events from ACI together before Ubi shut it down to upgrade. Now put juicy parts together like Haytham, Dead Letters, Abstergo etc.

Maybe the "guards" were running all over the place because there was a massive solar flare headed towards earth that would destroy civilization? :p
Great job with the vid! Now people will know about what the Initiates are and the Present Day storyline.
Great vid guys, i am an initiate myself, and even though i have read all of this months ago, it is nice to watch it again in video form
Another initiate right here
Thanks, thanks so much to put this together, didnt had a chance to look into that whole initiates rhing, but now.... very interesting how the story is turning.
Thank you.
We need more of it in the games. I got into this series because of the modern day story and now they are throwing it alway it is sad.
what do you mean by throwing it away?
*sigh* i guess another person that didnt play rogue.
there are tons of information about modern day templars there and you get to meet one of the modern day templar masters
I apologize for my ignorance, back when I made this comment I had not 100%ed Rogue.
This what assassins creed is. Deep compelling stories not bland pirates from America or buggy fools from Paris.
Deji D They should start setting the games in present day and follow the initiates, rather than needlessly recreating the French Revolution just because they haven't done it before!
Actually, ac black flag and unity are important to the modern story because the guy you control is the new assassin spy. We also learn of the sage and shit
Thank you! Someone who appreciates and understands the real story to the Assassin's Creed story! Hopefully they focus more on this in Syndicate!
+ajacob12 I wish we had more modern day missions
+Deji D too bad ubisoft already killed that story
Excellent. Thank you very much AC univers, great as always ^^ keep it up I'm lovin it :) can't wait for AC Unity!!!! :D
very nice video, i like these kind of info-summaries very much! cant wait for ACU :-)
LOVED IT! Amazing job as usual guys!
Holly Molly this looks awesome. i really can not wait for more information.
I will serve among the assassins and help restore the brotherhood.
As will I but remember..always be discreet
We work in the dark to serve the light
Also, at present day, some assassins (or one assassin) in Chicago hired someone to KNOCK DOWN (I don't understand why I'm so furious about this, maybe some of the Watch_Dogs players understand) the CCO of Abstergo Entertainment, Olivier Garneau. Your voice was not a good choice for your serious narration. BUT very well done and put together and explained the unclear. 10/5
We are internally great full for your service to the Brotherhood.
The Brotherhood will rise as we always have...we have fallen from power so many times but thanks to good leadership and strength in numbers we rise each time
Nothing is true
Everything is Permitted
You lot are awesome, thanks for going through all that hard work to do this video. I wanted to find out my self but the AC Initiates page is currently unavailable... Thank you!
Assassins Unite !
Shhh we must stay incognito

AND THIS IS WHAT I LIKE MOST ABOUT AC SERIES
Legendary!!!
achievement lists and walkthrough videos on here have been uploaded, of course please be cautious if you do read/watch them if you don't want any spoilers. Was this from an actual website? Or in game. Because I haven't played after ac3 yet. Waiting for my ps4.
***** Oh that's cool, Cheers! I have no idea how i hadn't heard of this, being a big AC fan. Plat'd them all up to AC3 :S
Good sir, this video deserve more likes
Great stuff i hope galina is in a future game she is totally eve in modern times she plays a huge role!
I cant wait (And also hope you guys can XD) till you scrape up more evidence for another part!
I really wish they integrated all this into Unity rather than tucking it away in an external website, because this is all so interesting.
Thank you for this. =)
Can I know where did you get this information from
acinitiates.com/
Thanks.
Subject 16 SAVED Desmond in the animus, remember?. Eve (her blood line) and Desmond son, had the answer. Back then when AC had a really GREAT plot.
Exodias29 voice is in here Wooohooo
Juno is like a horror movie ghost
Where do you guys get all these materials from ?
I want more details on the the present day story line and surely AC:U won't cover it all.
Great video !
I love assassins creed unity cant wait!!! =)
Nice video! But where does Assassin's Creed Bramhan come in?
I need more!!!!
Eurdito is The Initiates. In AC3 they proved Abstergo's true intensions useing their advertisments and they said they were going to disrupt their system to make sure the Templars do not take control. Note the red background at the end of the video.

does this give present day spoilers for Rogue? because I don't really want to watch past 8 minutes otherwise
Brilliant Video
Awesome video. Though I hope this isn't all fan fiction. Is it? Is it Ubisoft whatever. The writer or whatever has quite the imagination if so. Should write a book
Why isn't this on the Initiates website anymore? When will you be doing it again?

good work brothers
where else could i get this info had i not come here? i'd really like to look into it more. thanks
Has there been any information on modern day since you've done this video? Besides the fact that it's coming back.
Stefan Burns Check out the recent Assassin's Creed comics with Charlotte de la Cruz.
How did you get these servalience videos? I got onto the initiates website last night for the 1st time and ddnt see anything about them and yes i realize thats spelled wrong
I've been wondering this for awhile. I heard that before Unity was being released they were releasing all of this info. I wish they'd add a modern day character so we can experience this awesome story in the game.
we work in the dark to serve the light...... we are assassins
Awesome video! Narration voice sounds kinda cheesy
How did you find all this out?
So when is the initiates site going to be up and running again? Any idea?
mind-blown O.O
So is this a prologue to the AC:U story? Or is it the real deal?
Your face is awesome...
chedrick78 Thank you. It took me many years of practice to achieve such a high level of beauty.
I'm pretty sure it's both the prologue and the real deal.
Stefan Stojanov Then why the fudge would they spoil it for everyone?
Grample Gust Well when I say "I'm pretty sure" it means I only suspect, doesn't make it true, tho. lel
great video
awesome
it would be nice if they turned the parts with Shawn and Rebecca into a book
When will the AC Initiates Website be back up?
so ac unity is like player will be a initiate member that took shuan's request and dig into arno's member?
Can u give me the list of soundtracks you used in the video please??
Thank you...
Now ac unity begins
Nice vid. But please someone tell me who are Initiates. And what this group of people doing and what they are up to?
What's the name of the music at the beginning ??! D':
Please. :'
where did you find out all af this i played every game and still didnt know half of this
For some reason I tried to play it but it says connection failed all the time
Did I miss something in one of the games, I didn't think the Isu "came to Earth" they were just a very advanced pre-Human race that created human's to be their labor force. If they came to Earth from somewhere else why didn't they still have the technology to build some sort of spaceflight capable ships and just leave before the solar flare hit?
I don't hate Desmond, I just HATE the precursor race "plot". It is so convoluted, M. Night Shyamalan thought it needed to be clearer.
Why is none of this info in the games? I love the AC franchise, but its a little ridiculous how much story I would miss if I did not see this.
the chinese dude with the sword is the guy from sleeping dogs and when they said the system was hacked its from watch dogs ubisoft put great things together!!
so sickkkkkkk
Desmond gets reborn as the ying and yang fish
I can't believe there's AC fans who don't know all of this already
Lol sorry. I am new to this franchise as well, and I am very enticed to play it too☺
Is the initiates database still down? I miss using it.
when are you making paart 2
ubisoft better clear up what happened to desmond. i know that abstergo found his body and did an autopsy and all that other shit, but some people speculate that desmond used the apple to clone himself, so the body they did an autopsy on was the clone and that des is just floating around doing stuff.
why the pictures bright when the story is so dark and deep ?
I wonder where all of this story came from, is this what we will hear once we get AC Unity? I hope so cause AC4 or Black Flag though a very fun game wasn't big on filling us in on the story line though there were some very interesting tid bits hear & there. I hope to hear more.
I wonder too
They need to do an AC game focused on the present or future (but with real assassins, not some Desmond-like lame guy, and they could add flashbacks of the 1st assassins and when it all began
where do they get this information?
it's games like these that need a movie adaptation
Assassin's Creed Univers Amazing Vid!
I think they will do a morden day assassins creed soon. Or at least I hope they do.
