The ICJ decision also mandates Israel to open the Rafah crossing with Egypt to facilitate humanitarian aid. This ruling was backed by South Africa and has been supported by various international organizations and entities, including the Palestinian militant group Hamas and the Palestinian Authority, which view the ruling as a reflection of international consensus on the situation in Gaza. However, Israel has rejected the ruling and dismissed the accusations of genocide as baseless.
