Your compassion and hard work in caring for those mamas and babies is extraordinary. Getting you prepared to welcome another very special little "doeling!"❤

That's a lot of work trying to bottle feed and making sure all the rest are doing well. I've been through a that when I was a younger man

I would also look to see if the does not being good mom’s have the same sire/grand sire, as his mother may not have had good mothering qualities, it all passes from one generation to the next, that’s why when people “line breed” they have to be careful about the qualities and genetics that could be recessive etc. I’m glad the mommas you’ve grafted kids onto are doing well with each other.

I agree with that it is still to soon to tell with the buck we have now. I would love to get to the point that we are retaining our own bucks as well one day.

We lost one of Anna’s quads on his 2 day of life, and we are milking Anna and bottle feeding the other 3. I think her udders being so full and almost dragging the ground is difficult for the kids. Two of them will latch on and suck if we hold the udder up. Anna is being patient and nurturing the kids, standing still, nudging them with her nose.

Im sorry for your loss. I would try to milk her udder down until the kids can handle them.
