Nice to see that Steve Berry from 1990s Top Gear has bought a nice little runaround for his wife. You’re very brave driving around in a cabriolet. I had a cabriolet once, not one of these though, it was a different car and not from the 90s. I used to enjoy having the roof down but the behaviour of other people rather ruined the experience somewhat. People would call me names, I got caught in the rain and people laughed at me and one time someone threw their kebab into the back seat whilst I was stopped at some traffic lights. Luckily I was younger than I am now so I was able to contort myself through the front seats to retrieve most of this clown’s grub in time to throw it at the back of his head. The joy at hitting him and getting sauce and fat all over his going out clothes was tempered by having to get the same sauce and fat off my seats and carpet. If you’re going to have a cabriolet and want to drive it around an urban area then I would recommend leather seats. I don’t think I’m going to buy any of your beans, I hope you don’t mind. I can’t even listen to Bright Eyes without tearing up and I don’t mind admitting it.
Brilliant to see Steve again on a regular basis and reminds us what we’re missing! Absolutely loving this channel.. deserves way more subs and views… keep going guys!!
I remember you on Top gear back in the 1990s. You have a good humour & presenting style which is intellectual in a down yo earth humorous manner If I recall you were into scooters as well as cars that’s why I enjoyed you on top gear back in the day. I love cars and your enthusiasm and energy and obvious research or knowing on cars is spot on
Cabrio-gay outfits! 😆 Grey painted beans!😅 That 20 minutes of this video passed by very rapidly! Full of ridiculous quirky humour yet still packed with detail about the car! Brilliant!
Rickets! Magnifique mes amis. I had a 1.9 diesel for a while and it went like a crazy thing. Another exciting informative and yet nonetheless wonderfully wacky episode.
My mate had one of the XRAD vans, at one point the fastest vehicle on British roads. No matter what you were in and how fast you were going there was always one 5 feet behind you. Not even an Astramax could get away from them.
Another great video guys. I remember scuttle shake well. In a Saab convertible. Very scary if your not aware of this issue. Peugeot 205 is a rare beast today. Great to see one on your channel. Keep up these excellent videos 👍
I wanted the beans outtakes and was well rewarded! 😅 Great video, some excellent "high" filming and really enjoyed the action shots. Script made me laugh, but not as much as the dressing up - neither of you would have looked out of place in Hebden Bridge or Shoreditch 😁 The picnic and playful frolicking almost ended me ⚰😂 Probably my favourite episode so far!
Always thought that the Peugeot 205 is what Harris Mann's original design including the hatchback would have looked like for the Austin Allegro if it had been allowed to go through to production without the interference of the management. The 205 looks very similar to Mann's original design.
Very funny episode, but you missed a chance to say, now then, now then, howzabout that then. I always went with the idea that a cabriolet wasn't a full convertible or drophead because it still had the crossbar.
Weren’t those 205’s out on A Regis. So that was 1983/4. Probably cutting about France in 1982? That Lambretta was probably one of them automatic twist ngo royal Alloy models most look like Gp lammies.
I will be honest i could of owned of one these many times just wasnt my sort of thing might be very now days but again not my kinda car each to their own
My immediate thought was, the audio is clipping on the raising of your voice. You're selling yourself short with this Nigel. Look at jonny Smith's the late brake show for inspiration.

Mondays are so much better with a BITN video - like the Blackadder and Baldrick of the car youtube world 😀

A lovely couple.
I tell thee what! That Steve knows his stuff 😃Thanks for making Monday mornings fun.
The Roland garos spec was beautiful
3:46 paul looks like mick Fleetwood if you order him from wish.
Cabrio-gay outfits! 😆 Grey painted beans!😅

I have a mint 67k mile Miami Blue 1.9GTi, it’s a late 93 model so has the CAT but it’s still a nippy little beauty.
I wish they would make these cars again the engines were amazing what so was the whole car very reliable❤ 😊
I'm absolutely loving this channel.
Do you want to buy a 12 second video of a pensioner watching a baby gibbon having a shit?
Another brilliant video Paul and Steve very funny 🚗🚙🚘👍👍👍👍👏👏👏👏👏😂😂😂😂
Knowing hirsute Paul personally, I can confirm that he does indeed sleep under hedges and eat out of bins.
I had both 1.9 and 1.6 back in 90s, can honestly say 1.6 just as much fun.

Xantia Activa surely has to be one of the top French cars! Great video loving the channel.
Nice Hoovie reference jumping out from behind the tree. Keep up the sterling work and that!

I had the 1.4Si with the short range gear box. Most fun to 95mph ever.
We want more videos of Steve eating various foods mixed with paint!!!!

Need you back on Top Gear my friend fast❤
Great video, very entertaining. I learnt to drive '91 in a turbo diesel 205, CTi looks good fun.
The Citroen SM may have been expensive and a commercial failure, but as a product it was a masterpiece
Fun video and a great channel, that clutch/gearbox looked like hard work 😂
A 205 is a lovely thing. For me at the time the XS hit the nail on the head for value for money & fun without being clobbered by the insurance 👍
Yes, the XS was a great car. White with the cool looking steel wheels. Felt like double the power was unleashed when you hit the 2nd choke.
Thanks for the amusement guys. It was hilarious.
The GTi engine were bulletproof yes, but not the air flow meters.
Love a 205, mum had a 1.4 Green in 1990 that was great😃
BLIMEY, Mr. Smiths in Warrington - awesome - now off to order my beans from World of Biscuits - awesome guys !
love the way the interior light is dangling out of it's socket....
Me too
Blackadder and Baldrick
Athletic beans...brilliant! 😂
Smashing!!
I had the 1.8 turbo diesel. Went very well with a pump tweek and great on fuel.

Cool car , funny episode 👍👍.
How on earth did you make the grey sauce edible 😂 .
Very funny episode, but you missed a chance to say, now then, now then, howzabout that then. I always went with the idea that a cabriolet wasn't a full convertible or drophead because it still had the crossbar.
Now then!
I want to order some grey beans, that scientist (Just the one) may be right!
Dare I say it: If you were stood next to Bob Mortimer, I couldn’t tell who was who…
Are you by any chance, that bloke off the telly from Top Gear?
Yes overly enthusiastic automotive YTers are really annoying 😂
Superminx convertible...
👍👍👍👍😎😎😎😎

They were indeed but stayed in production way into the '90s
@@BIGinthe90sthere may be some ‘M’ reg 1.9 GTi’s out there but I’ve never seen one. My Miami 1.9GTi is a late 93 so ‘L’ reg.
Ewww, gey beans. Not the kind I'd want to flick 🤭 Great video again 🙂
😂😂😂😂 I learned to drive in Peugeot 205 Diesel. Athletic beans yuck 😂😂.

Can I have a tin please
Those grey beans look disgusting. Sorry!
KHAAAAAANNNNN!!!!!!!
Cabrio-gay?
Really?
Why don’t you just go full Clarkson and start insulting every nationality on earth.
We are certain that the gay community has a sense of humour.
Try not to get sexual preferences confused with nationality.
@@BIGinthe90s I am gay and you are offensive.
Bigotry is bigotry, there is no confusion.
Bernard Manning used to say it was all just a bit of fun…
There is nothing for you to be offended by here. Enjoy life - don't ruin it for you and others.
