Taylor I’m 54 years old and I have never washed my rice. I didn’t even know people did that. Until a few years ago. So I’m with you on the not caring; what people think about it. May the Lord always bless you and yours!
Adding garlic powder on top of minced garlic just adds more depth to the flavor. Same for herbs and spices. Fresh vs, dried has two different aromas/tastes to them. Having both in a recipe can elevate a dish.
Tahini is like that, the oil separates from the paste. I find it best to buy in a jar, that way you can get a big ol’ spoon in the jar to give it a mix before u use it. It takes a lot of mixing😂It also helps to store the jar upside down, that way the paste is on the top (& the oil on the bottom) when u go to use it, & it’s even easier to mix! My mum taught me that!☺️. Not 💯 on fresh garlic/garlic powder thing. Maybe for a more intense garlic flavour?🤷🏻♀️

Social media, for healthy recipes? Not too sure about that. 🙂 I see those bulk containers on your countertop, I have a boatload of those things for legumes, grains, nuts and so on (and maple sugar cuz Canada).
Personally don't like this 'hack' but you can vigorously shake your garlic in a Tupperware and the skin will come off leaving the individual pieces naked.
@@littletfitness Doesn't seem to work 100% for me either. 😩 My personal hack is to get the packs of naked garlic cloves where that work is done for me already. 🤪

Washing the rice removes the excess starch (and any little critters like weevils) so it affects how the rice cooks and how fluffy it’ll get.
@@foggybottomz Thank you for the information!

You don’t wash the rice to clean it, it’s to get rid of the starch so it doesn’t get too clumped together when cooked.
learn something new everyday ! LOL
You did mention the starch in the video, so I thought you knew that

Fresh garlic and garlic powder have different flavors I think
I never wash my rice, you boil it and throw away the water, it's basically the same as washing it right?? Truly curious?
