Eddie showed a bit of naivety regarding Ruiz. His view is that AJ should be beating anyone but I wonder if Finkel would have done it if he was managing AJ. Finkel stacks every percentage point on the side of his fighters. Wilder just isnt a great fighter, although Finkel did nearly create a great situation for Wilder, (but Fury got up). Eddie does have a bit more of a relaxed attitude to it. The key decision maker really should have been Rob Mcaraken and what he thought of the choice. If he thought it was fine for AJ then OK. Although its difficult for him to say no because he is essentially being paid to train AJ so Im not sure he would be completely honest with himself.
